I am LOVING this turnover; it's reminding me of late '08 and late '10. I guess something had to balance out the slog during the first half of the year.
"The Hills" will probably settle in at #1 for a few weeks, but "Hotline Bling" might be a contender, I think. For now I'm thinking it'll stall on pop radio and just miss out on #1 like "Trap Queen", but then again I fully did not expect for "The Hills" to connect on pop radio like it has, and Drake is definitely a more familiar name for pop listeners, so it just might have a chance. He's long overdue for a #1 as a lead act anyway. |

Really surprised that 'The Hills' has managed to overtake 'Can't Feel My Face' - it is a faaar better song so yay for it reaching #1 as well Great to see Drake in the top 10 and Dame Glynne beginning her Hot 100 conquest as well.

Great for "The Hills" and now I really hope Drake can have the next #1. He looks a good chance with how well he's doing on sales & streaming. A well timed video release in a couple of weeks could perhaps seal it.

A well timed video release in a couple of weeks could perhaps seal it. If this happened that would be the best pair of back to back (no pun intended) #1s for ages (looking back through the Hot 100 history, the last time I loved two consecutive #1s this much would probably be 'E.T.'/'Rolling In The Deep'). Slightly surprising as well that Drake is yet to get a Hot 100 #1 as the lead artist, only getting there with 'What's My Name?', 'Hotline Bling' would be the perfect song to be the first for him. |

The Hills has grown on me as the better song.
