After a weekend with the album, I Dare You has emerged as my favourite. Apparently it's about their love for pop music as well! About having no such thing as a guilty pleasure and enjoying everything.

While On Hold and Say Something Loving are excellent, Dangerous and Lips are the real standouts of the album. Gems! Very good album overall.

Dangerous *.* That chorus is so anthemic.

A Violent Noise and I Dare You are highlights as well. Didn't expect to like this as much as i have after such a lukewarm first single.

'Say Something Loving' is just wonderful. I do like the album as a whole but I'm not sure if I would say I enjoy it as much as their debut, although they are two completely different records in many respects.

I've not properly listened to their music before - it just seemed far too minimalistic for me and I usually like my music to make an instant impression on me - but I sat down to give I See You a listen and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. It's definitely an album that requires being listened to as a whole but that's not at all a criticism dressed up as a compliment, because a lot of albums sacrifice or don't even care about that cohesive sound or the idea of portraying a journey. There's a clear attention to this and I found myself really captivated by little quirks in the production or interested by even the way words are sung.

'On Hold' and 'Say Something Loving' are obvious single material and still represent some of the best of what the album has to offer, then beyond that there's 'Performance' and 'I Dare You' that have proven to be ones I look forward to hearing. 'Say Something Loving' gives me slight Fleetwood Mac vibes and I've picked up on that in certain aspects of other songs.

This was announced earlier as the #1 album in the UK this week so they now have 2 #1 albums to their name *.* Fabulous!

'On Hold' also re-peaked at #34 today (matching 'Islands' as their highest peaking single now ohmy.gif) - plus 'Say Something Loving', 'Dangerous', 'Lips', 'A Violent Noise' and 'I Dare You' all cracked the top 100! Slay *.* Really pleased to see them benefitting hugely from the streaming era; they only had 3 top 100 entries prior to today ('Islands'/'Angels'/'On Hold') so blimey at them almost tripling that amount.

I like this album a lot. I'd rank their albums like this:

xx > I See You > Coexist

'A Violent Noise' has quietly crept up on me and now I really like it. I would definitely bump both that and 'Dangerous' up from my original rate.

Have they chosen a single 2 yet? I feel like it HAS to be Say Something Loving.
