No Avicii yet? Oh well, it's a garbage song anyway
Delighted for Kiesza |

Cheryl stuck on the b-list for release week again then, they seem so reluctant to support her this era (although at least they *are* supporting her)

So glad Calvin went with Outside, much better than Open Wide! I hope they add Tulisa but probs not coz she isn't seen as cool or whatever, yawn.

Ed going up by two levels
Yay at the add for Calvin, glad we have confirmation of the next single because that's a great choice. Animals is excellent too so yay at that getting support (and a remix!), hope that can sneak a top 10/20 peak. Catfish too Excellent choice of next single and I hope it can help sell the album a bit too. happy with the playlist this week |

Maybe R1 really do judge songs on how good the song is and not the artist's relevance, hence the reason that the awful Avicii track ain't here even though he's usually excellent!
(or it's just been pushed back) |

(or it's just been pushed back) except the Avicii track is 11/10 AMAZING. They're snubbing it because 1) it's doing terribly on pre-orders and 2) Robbie Williams does all the vocals on it If anything it proves that R1 judge songs based on how much hype they and the artist behind them have. I would've thought Avicii's name would be enough to secure a playlist but clearly not. |

I would've thought Avicii's name would be enough to secure a playlist but clearly not. they haven't 'snubbed' it yet though. and I doubt they would just because of an uncredited Robbie Williams vocal (they don't playlist Paloma herself anymore, but they had no problem adding 'Changing'). though it's possble they just won't support it *as much* as Avicii's past singles, we'll see~ or what Aly said in the predix thread could be right and they're just pushing the release date back (I assume this is what's happened with 'Ten Tonne Skeleton', since there's absolutely no way they'd snub Royal Blood for seemingly no reason) |

Maroon 5 feat. J. Cole? What? When did this remix come about??? First I've heard of it
Shouldn't be surprised at Ed Sheeran going straight from C-list to A-list! First time that's happened this year. No Avicii no Royal Blood was fully expecting both of those to be added! Oh dear at Cheryl still being on the B-list, surely they'll A-list it next week when it's firmly on its way to No. 1? One Direction off already after only 5 weeks! That's less than any of the four singles from the last era, oops. |

Nothing like a double movement up from C-A List to keep us on our toes, good to see and a lot of new A list tracks and glad they have removed Blame and immediately moved onto single 2 which is basically out on Monday.
Strange that Animals has a remix - I don't really see the point? But good old radio 1 to give us a shock new entry with the new Rick Ross/R.Kelly track . Good to see 1D coming and going quickly and it's just establishing itself in the top 10 following the video release. Maybe the expect a Story of my Life scenario in November when the albums released? |
