Gareth Emery is one of the top trance producers of the moment, and had a great start to the year with 'Saving Light' which has over 2 million streams on Spotify and YouTube. Now he's back with 'Stronger', a collab with Louis Vivet (who are actually a duo), which sees him branch out into the future bass genre. Sounding great!
Re-listen to 'Saving Light'.
Gareth Emery's potential has reached the peak when he was releasing new material under the alias 'OceanLab' with Above & Beyond IMO. He also laid out to the max in 2012 featuring the girl with astonishing voice - Christina Novelli:
Excited to hear his brand new TRANCE stuff.
Gareth Emery isn't part of OceanLab. OceanLab are Above & Beyond and Justine Suissa.
Confusingly though the On A Good Day/Metropolis mashup is credited to "Above & Beyond & Gareth Emery pres. OceanLab" but I think that's the only OceanLab/Emery collab.
oh damn, I should've known...
anyway, thank you for explaining, I've read about it a couple of years ago and forgot everything.
Still, Metropolis seems to be the fundamental track in Emery's career.
Oh, 'Saving Light' with Standerwick sounds pretty much trancey, don't know why I passed it by in February.
Not liking that new track much sadly, stick with trance Gar!
He's back with a new single finally, it's been ages. 'Call To Arms' is his first original song released since 'Saving Light'.
The 'Stronger' rework posted in the OP tired on me very fast, glad he's back to trance now.
not sure on this new one, the drop is GREAT but those vocals are really off-putting...
Back again with 'Take Everything' with Emma Hewitt. It's beautiful.
They also performed Avicii's 'Without You' together!
'Kingdom United' (Gareth Emery & Ashley Wallbridge) [Out 25/01]
Nice!
Looks like we're getting a whole collaborative album from Gareth Emery & Ashley Wallbridge, coming out 29/03. Anyway here's the music video for 'Kingdom United' (title track of the album).
Also, HALIENE of 'Saving Light' has done a new acoustic version of the song, worth checking out.
Music video for 'Lionheart' out now
Also a new track titled 'Electric Pirates'
I'm seeing Gareth tonight *.*
!
I'm sure he'll be very good, I hope to catch his set at Creamfields this year. One of my fave producers of the moment.
I don't think it's what you're going to but his Laserface show in particular looks amazing. Here's the new single as performed as part of Laserface.
Oh and it looks like the album's been delayed to May 10.
I ended up winning free tickets through a competition today! I was at Kettama last night but I'm super excited to see / meet & greet especially and it said I would win a signed copy of the album so I'm not quite sure if I will get that or not considering it's been pushed back!

Putting the 3 year old 'CVNT5' on the album which was also on Gareth's last album though. At least we get a good number of new songs anyhow.
Following from his collab album with Ashley Wallbridge this year, Gareth Emery is planning to release his fifth studio album (4th solo album) next year. 'Somebody' is out today. It's more of a pop friendly effort but it's amazing anyhow.
2nd single 'Yesterday' came out... yesterday. A bit more trance than 'Somebody' and I'm really liking this too.
third single 'You Are' out today.
Album is titled 'The Lasers', turns out those tracks above haven't made it and 'You'll Be OK' will act as the first single. 'Elise' is also out this week.

new track released today
enjoying it, but it's not quite as good as the previous two.
'Gunshots' out today
more slow than we're used to from Gareth but fitting considering the lyrics.
Sad Song is out today;
interestingly the first song of his where he’s the sole vocalist.
will have to give it a few more listens to get used to it, I think.
This Sad Song sounds very good, the vocal effects I like, they remind me a bit of Don't Give Up or Days Go By from the early 00s and the drop and guitar riff is very good too.
The official video was uploaded a few hours later;
LSR/CITY is out on streaming platforms today, it is 5 short pieces Gareth is selling as NFTs all compiled in this video.
new single out today, a big step up from 'Sad Song', and not only because he's not singing on this one, it's a right trance anthem.
absolutely beautiful!
New single "Love You For All Time" featuring Annabel will be out soon.
ooh yay at a new album coming! titled Analog.
you can pre save the single for the chance to win a Macbook Pro too.

Preview of the song sounds promising.
Love this but it’s quite a bit more poppy than I’d have expected so intrigued to hear the album.
It’s way too short though. Why have 2-2.30 min songs become so prevalent now
Unity with Omnia is out now;
additional context - the song isn’t part of his album campaign it’s in aid of Unesco for helping Ukrianians in need. Omnia is the most prominent Ukrainian trance DJ hence him being the choice of collaborator.
2nd album single, "This Is Not The End" featuring Roddy Woomble, will be out tomorrow.
I did enjoy the first single but this is a bit more like it, has more a classic Emery vibe
Gaz has now announced that Analog will sadly be his final album. although fortunately he’s not retiring, he’ll just stick to singles from here on out.
track listing also released. no exact release date yet but looks like the release month will be November for the Indiegogo backers and December for the GP.

New single Breathe with Annabel out yesterday;
"California" with Gid Sedgwick:
quite enjoying the two new singles but neither really wow me, I'm hoping he's got something really special saved for the album release.
"Where Do We Go From Here" is out today.
Analog is out tomorrow! Though of course it came out for me a month ago and I've already listened to it a number of times as I pre-ordered it off Bandcamp.
Where Do We Go From Here is really great anyhow, I'm tempted to say the best on the album although I'll have to see how it ages compared to This Is Not The End.
Gareth did the Quest Mix for Annie Nightingale this week on Radio 1. It's the whole second hour of her show and is worth a listen as he explores some harder tracks of his and others
