Not sure how reliable this is but rumours are circling that Madonna and Kanye are working together on an R&B album in a similar vein to 'Bedtime Stories'. Sounds like fan-fic to me after they were photographed together, but I would maybe be here for it tbh.

I am trying to picture how this is going to work. The deluxe version of Celebration has 37 tracks and runs for 2 hours, 40 minutes. This would be significantly longer than that.
Would they separate it into a deluxe version with 20 or so songs and the rest on a deluxe? (which defeats the purpose of this celebrating her 50 #1s...).
Or as mentioned previously, will this just be a streaming only "playlist" of sorts? Whatever happens, I am intrigued - it seems like a massive undertaking!

Well, I know I said I wanted news but didn’t expect it that soon!
The deluxe cover is fantastic, very reminiscent of Celebration! Looks like it’s available to stream from June and all the physical products are out in August, according the OCC at least. I did think we’d get some new remixes, or at least have the Sickick remixes tied to it, but I think this works as a collection as some of her best remixes and a celebration of her US Dance #1s record. Some remixes that I love already popping out and intrigued to hear the previously unavailable ones.

Well... I'd actually got to the point where I thought this wasn't going to happen anymore, so it was nice to hear about it yesterday.
The Deluxe artwork is much better than the standard version, for me. It looks like more of a celebration of previous work, rather than just a plain photo with Madonna etched across it.
I wonder how much this will be on Amazon? Will they stick for the £15 price tag for the single CD and the £35 for the Deluxe? If so, I'll probably buy the single one for the car and then at home will stream the deluxe through Amazon Unlimited.
The single CD has some good songs on it, and not ones I would be likely to skip. I'm also pleased to see there are lots of Edits, so we aren't getting a load of bloated 8 minute mixes.
Looks like being a nice addition to her catalogue.

I am really happy about this release and think it's a great way to celebrate her legacy and impact. The 50 tracks is going to be a mammoth experience and one I can't wait to experience. My only gripe is the vinyl situation given I'm massive on vinyls now - it's so disappointing that the collection I want is SO expensive and the one I can afford isn't really the one I want to get but probably will just for the sake of it. That's my only issue

Agreed. I don’t think we’re ready for another traditional style greatest hits collection yet but this is a great way of basically doing the same thing of celebrating her legacy and 40 years in mainstream music.
It would be great if the songs on the tracking list transitioned into one another in the way they do on You Can Dance or Confessions. It wouldn’t appear so based on the newly remastered Into the Groove though.

I’m usually not too interested in remix albums and how well they do but could this actually chart highly?
Given it’s Madonna and contains music throughout her entire career arc? I imagine it might stream better than Madame X too given we know most the material in its original form and there’s also a lot of tracks on there too. What are we thinking? This will chart as a new release in the albums chart too won’t it?

Madonna redesigned the album’s chronology by picking three edits from You Can Dance, including “Into The Groove”, “Everybody” and “Physical Attraction,” which reflects the underground club vibes that inspired her first recordings as a Sire artist.
In advance of the debut of FINALLY ENOUGH LOVE in June, one of the 50 chart toppers – “Causing A Commotion” – was spotlighted early as an exclusive release for this year’s Record Store Day on April 23. Three remixes of the track appeared on the limited edition, five-track, red vinyl 12” EP Who’s That Girl Super Club Mix.

The original will always be the best but I do really enjoy this remix too. Again, it’s quite faithful to the original, just gives a slightly different style of dance. I like the part where the song quietens just before the final choruses and part of the original production starts shining through.

I love the Avicii remix of Girl Gone Wild, had never heard it before. He really had a magic touch with his production, something about the melodies and chords he used is so <3 Elevates the song quite a bit for me compared to the original.
Also really liked the Deeper and Deeper and Frozen mixes, I'll buy the 3CD version when it comes out.

Yeah, the Avicii remix is great! I think shifting the original chorus to a pre-chorus and having an instrumental breakdown as the main focus of the song really works as the original chorus was probably the weakest part of the song for me.
The 'Deeper & Deeper' remix has been my best discovery from the collection, I feel like I may even give preference to it over the original!

I finally listened the other day btw and it's such a great listen through. I did the standard version from start to end a few times and there are many highlights. My favourite thing about it all is that it is songs I know and love but given a twist so it all seems exciting and fresh. My favourite is the Frozen remix! The only one I am not really keen on is the Living For Love remix, but as mentioned it's all a fun listen and nice that most of her eras to date are paid tribute.

Yeah, one of the things I noticed is that they're all very similar to the originals in terms of composition and you can hear elements of the original productions too in most of them. That mix of familiarity and freshness definitely makes it a great listen.

My HMV trip was VERY Madonna As I walked in the album was blasting out in the store. It was also on top of the shelves as you walked in and in the display near the door Steps were there too and the other new albums so they were getting a good push. It sounded good hearing the album in the store and singing along to it i am loving the collection!

Physical Attraction was on You Can Dance compilation which went to #1 back when albums could chart on the dance charts so the song represents that album. Everybody also didn’t reach #1 but replaces Causing a Commotion as that was released as part of a Record Store Day exclusive.

That’s a healthy streaming number….isn’t the rule that the biggest selling compilation collects the streaming points for all versions each week? Not sure exactly how that works with remixes but many of the big early hits on FEL are similar variations of the versions found on the parent albums.

Yeah I think 'Finally Enough Love' has taken the streams from 'The Immaculate Collection', no way has 'Finally Enough Love' managed as much as 600 streaming units itself. 'The Immaculate Collection' manages 1k-1.1k each week with most of those sales coming from streams, so 600 streaming units for that seems reasonable at this stage.
I did wonder if this might happen. If it is a mistake, it'll probably be fixed by the Wednesday update, but there's been instances before where remix albums have collected up streams from greatest hits or it could be that her label have requested all streams be allocated to 'Finally Enough Love' (as aeroco pointed out, it was the case that the most purchased compilation of the week gets the streams but I think it may have changed to the label being able to request which album).
I'm absolutely thrilled at 11.2k sales so far - I didn't even expect that much for the week! Top 3 should be on lock.
FYI, Madonna sold 854 on Sunday, Aitch sold 947 and Steps sold just 375.

From what I can find, the 7-inch releases of those songs featured the album versions so yes looks like they're the same versions.

They could have used the Holiday remix from You Can Dance.
LAV and MG also have club mixes but not edits. They could have made new edits but didn't bother.

I guess the purpose of the album was to celebrate Madonna’s 50 dance #1s rather than specifically just be a remix album, plus remixes didn’t really exist in the way they do now back in the 80s. As vibe says, they could have done edited versions of the extended dance versions of Like a Virgin and Material Girl and an edited version of the You Can Dance remix of Holiday.
I’m not that fussed though. I’m quite happy we’ve got the video/single version of Open Your Heart and Vogue.

My absolute favourite five are the mixes of Deeper and Deeper, What It Feels Like For A Girl, Girl Gone Wild, Sorry and Nothing Really Matters. Wow at all of these
Also loving having some of the single mixes and alternate cuts of the 80s/early 90s classics too. I actually like all of the mixes from Madame X too, quite a step up from the MDNA and Rebel Heart mixes for me, with the exception of that Avicii one.

Yeah I thought it would chart somewhere between 6-10 so #3 really would be fantastic. It would be only place above her first remix album You Can Dance too.
In terms of best chart positions for remix albums, Michael Jackson went to #1 with Blood on the Dancefloor in 1997 and I believe is the best selling remix album worldwide, with Madonna second with You Can Dance.

Also loving having some of the single mixes and alternate cuts of the 80s/early 90s classics too. I actually like all of the mixes from Madame X too, quite a step up from the MDNA and Rebel Heart mixes for me, with the exception of that Avicii one.
I've got it on repeat too, as you says it's nice hearing songs you recognise and love played slightly differently, it really helps to refresh her discography. I agree about the Madame X remixes too, it feels like they've had more thought put into how they could compliment the original track rather than just have a generic poppers-o'clock remix over it (that said, I am actually really liking the 'Turn Up the Radio' remix which is probably most guilty of this, I just think it adds a bit more fun that the original is lacking).

Does anyone know if you stream a song from this album if it is added to the song's unit sales, I'm just assuming it would because it's a remix but I'm not sure considering other artists are credited and might be counted separately, for example the song Hollywood, also includes Calderone and Quayle on Spotify?

Yes they still count towards the song's total.

The streams that previous went to 'The Immaculate Collection' are applied to this album. In weeks 2 and 3 there were delayed vinyl shipments added so it's still been doing okay on sales, although they've dropped off now.

This arrived today and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. There are a few tracks I’d swap out but largely the correct mixes are on the shortened album. Disc 1 is nonstop gold.

I've passed on it. I very nearly ordered but methinks the £50 cover for Ray of Light is enough Madge extravagance for recent months.
I am really happy to see it being released though as it goes some way to combat those who got the red set just to sell on at a ridiculous profit.

One year yesterday since the full version of the album was released. I did go a long period of not listening to the album but been giving it a few spins recently. Not usually a massive fan of remixes but I think this collection is really strong. The songs are recognisable enough to their original compositions but different enough to rejuvenate them. They’re perfect for work outs or pre drinks.

Online now, CDs another week, vinyls another week - just release all at once even if it means delaying it!
Steps were there too and the other new albums so they were getting a good push. It sounded good hearing the album in the store and singing along to it
