I've been hooked on Cities: Skylines for the Laptop since release bar a week or two when I've had no time.
What are you guys playing?
The Cities: Skyline game looks AMAZING James, been meaning to order it. Reminds me a bit of Rollercoast Tycoon (3, the best one) (but a city instead) which I loved
Bejeweled
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is the best PC game of all time for me, I've had so much fun creating rollercoasters and riding them and stuff. I was never amazing at making a huge park though, it always ended up looking a bit odd.
Edit: Obviously Simpsons: Hit and Run is the best console game ever. (Or Sonic Riders )
Lately, just Civ 5 when I can, I only have access to my laptop most of the time (I have more of a variety of home) and that's the best slightly modern game I can run - and my CD drive is busted so I can't even play my older games on it now.
But I do love building a civilization and rolling to victory over others. Best sort of PC game.
Currently just platted Assassin's Creed Unity and The Lego Movie Game on PS4. Will look at starting Bloodborne soon as well as pick up The Witcher 3 when I've got some spare change.
Lego Star Wars II (PS2) atm! #retro
Keep that Technology/Gaming Forum hype up JSG!
Been playing through Borderlands 2 recently. I'm always the one going through games years after their peak popularity.
I've been playing on simcity buildit on my iPad, and i'm also hooked on dead island & dead island riptide on the ps3 I downloaded the sims 2 for my mac as well but haven't played on it as much as i thought i would, best sims game out there though
I had Simcity Buildit for my phone too but I deleted. I've no time for these freemium games tbh.
Bumping this as there are a couple of games coming out this week. I'll keep this updated when I find games that I imagine will interest people.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
The game is set in 2017, approximately 4 years after the events of Resident Evil 6 in the fictional city of Dulvey, Louisiana. It features a new protagonist named Ethan Winters, a civilian who offers fewer combat skills than most previous Resident Evil protagonists. Ethan is searching for his missing wife, Mia, which leads him to a derelict plantation mansion, home of the Baker family.
"Capcoms survival horror series goes back to its origins as a truly shocking, challenging and terrifying experience." - The Guardian
"Resident Evil 7 feels like a really decent horror movie that places you at its controls. It's undeniably terrifying." - Pocket-link.com
Yakuza 0
In December, 1988, two unlikely figures from the Yakuza world, Kazuma Kiryu of the Kantō region and Goro Majima of the Kansai Region, have suddenly found themselves getting involved in the terrible events of the so-called "Vacant Lot" dispute, which is the centrepiece of power struggle for all the dark organizations across Japan.
"Bruising, bonkers and frequently brilliant, Yakuza 0 is Sega's cult favourite at its very best." - Eurogamer
"If you want to laugh, be surprised, and punch the air, you cant get much better than this." - Trusted Reviews
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue includes a high-definition remaster of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, as well as two new pieces of content to the Kingdom Hearts series.
"Kingdom Hearts 2.8 is ultimately a collection of a good but not great game, an exciting demo and a hardcore-fans-only movie." - RPG Site
"Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue is essential for the faithful, flummoxing for newcomers, and a promising start to the series' life on PS4." - GamesRadar+
Reading the first post of this thread, I've gotten Cities: Skylines recently, mainly because it's by Paradox who are doing so many good games for me at the moment. It's something I'll have to get into once I finally get bored of EU4.
I've spent so many of my free hours the past few months on Europa Universalis IV, it's just the perfect game for me in so many ways with its intricate maths and combat system and modifier maze. I just want to conquer the world as EVERY country.
I have a good PC for games now but I'm still behind time a bit because I mostly just play strategy games and wait for them to become cheap so I don't really know much about the release schedule but I feel we should definitely make this topic more active than it has been in the past. Even if it's just somewhere to put out my love of map-painting via the means of historical violence.
I don't play pc games because I have a shitty laptop Currently playing Watchdogs on ps4 though and I'm really enjoying it, all the hacking is super fun! I don't really have much time to play ps4 when I'm at uni so I usually just spend all of my summer and christmas to get my fill of it. I completed Rise of the Tomb Raider at christmas and it was good, kinda similar to previous tomb raider games so it can get a bit repetitive at times but a great game regardless! also got dishonoured but yet to try it out. And obviously spent half my time playing rocket league because nothing beats that
Ready for Maguerite Baker to eat me tomorrow*.* queen
I'm playing Uncharted 4 right now, I kind of hate some the chapters which is marring my enjoyment of the whole game but it is SO well done! The second one is still my fave but the scope and feel of 4 is unlike anything I've ever played, it's truly like playing an epic action movie. I thought it would be too cinematic as it's a bit different in feel from the PS3 trilogy but it doesn't work too badly.
I also bought a crappy 3D platformer called Ginger: Beyond The Crystal on PS4 to tideme over on that front until Yooka Laylee in April, but it's such a dull play that I doubt I'll bother with it all, it's a budget title as I think it was Ģ15 on Amazon or something, I just thought I haven't played a game like that for ages so might as well
