After a dramatic and closely fought semi-final, we ended up with a tie! Both 'Locked Out of Heaven' and '24K Magic' amassed 17 votes, even after an extension. I decided to use the previous rounds result as a tie-breaker, where '24K Magic' received double the amount of votes. Therefore, it has been cruelly eliminated just before the final.

I remember there being a lot of hype over Bruno Mars' return in 2016 - his last record had been 'Uptown Funk', one of the biggest selling songs of all time. '24K Magic' isn't a massive departure from that, still funky as anything with perhaps a more hip-hop edge to it. It was no surprise to see this become very popular!

Anyway, the final will close at midnight on Sunday - the deadline will be extended by a 12 hour period in the event of a tie.

OK, 24k Magic is much better than both of those :/ Feels wayyyy to soon for Finesse to be winning, but I do prefer it to Locked Out of Heaven which I'm really surprised has made it this far!

LOOH is absolutely one of his best so I'm delighted its made it this far

Finesse is as forgettable as they come and should have been out ages ago
