Waking Up In Vegas is the fourth single from Katy Perry's album One Of The Boys. She will be performing it tonight on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

MUCH better choice than 'Thinking of You'

Rubbish performance on Ant & Dec though. Hopefully this become's a moderate hit for her.

'Self Inflicted' & 'Lost' remain my fave's though

Ok its a good rocking showstopper of a song but i don't like it at all. One of my least faves. TOY is definently better or Self Iflicted

Great choice! Needed to be released as the 3rd to make it a bigger success, but if the first 3 had great videos, I have extreme high hopes for this one! A top 15 hit, I'm gonna say

Hot & Cold and IKAG were so much better then TOY and this.

This song is ok though, just extremely generic and just bleh. Ur So Gay should be re-released or One Of The Boys should be released. OR I'm Still Breathing.

Those are the only 3 songs on the album I like after HAC and IKAG.

I like this song a lot, I think her album is pretty awful but she's been smart with the singles so far and released the album's best four tracks.

Performing this instead of 'Thinking Of You' was a bizarre decision to say the least though.

It's just my opinion of course, but whilst IKAG and H&C were strong songs, they were very generic. Formula Dr Luke-type stuff...

Waking Up In Vegas has more personality. Still baffling that they're ignoring If You Can Afford Me. Her best song. By a MILE.

Thinking Of You NEEDED to be performed tonight, it was her only chance to do a "Miley" and get a top 20 hit out of such a bloody AMAZING song, but it may have just lost its chance of even entering the top 40 which it clearly should do

I agree with Jark, how they avoided If You Can Afford Me, is beyond me. I suppose it would only do as well as this track though, because it is clear to see why they went for IKAG and HAC.

I do like Katy and her music but she can't sing that great live but it was a good performance actually after watching back but very gimmicky. I also might have mistaken this for one of 3 other songs of her album that i wasn't keen because it ain't that bad but their is much better still

I love katy and would love to see her live.

I know a lot of people say that she cant sing live....but at least she doesnt lip-sync!

I agree on the first point, she's hideous live but I'd rather see someone attempting to sing live badly than someone miming every song because they have a 'routine'. (or they just can't sing) I haven't been to a mimed concert but I'd imagine that I'd rather listen to the CD, seeing the artist in the flesh can't be worth that much extra!

I decided that I quite like "Waking Up In Vegas" when she performed it, maybe it's time to give the album another chance...

Hmmm I don't think H&C is generic at all, IKAG is though. But IMO Waking Up In Vegas might not be as generic as IKAG but it's not near as good.

Vid is #1 on US iTunes atm and the song itself somewhere between the 50s and 60s. Airplay picking up though ;o

Katy Perry really does go all out for her videos. Must be costing Virgin/Capitol a lot of money!
Still - This deserves to be a big summer smash hit, it's more catchy and more fun than Hot n Cold. And it wont get as boring as I Kissed A Girl. Still I still think 'Thinking of You' is my favorite single so far. The acoustic version is pure heaven

This went top 10 and Platinum in the US but only top 20 in the UK? It was such a guaranteed smash so the UK's lack in interest in her just confuses me a bit in comparison to the US's. It's not as good as her previous 3 singles but it's still pretty darn excellent. Can't wait for her sophomore album anyway and hopefuly this can go Double Platinum by the end of the year! Love her!

Yeah, I don't understand why this didn't do better. It seems like a perfect song for the summer for me, and her best single so far. It's maybe not as zany as IKAG and HNC (like the record label, I'm pretending that weird attempt at a ballad never happened), but it's breezier and more accessible and generally just so infectious and likeable.
