 The first is one of my favourite films ever!QUOTE Thank you for the sequel. Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again is coming to theaters next summer.
Universal Pictures announced that the $609 million 2008 musical Mamma Mia is underway, hitting screens in July 20, 2018, in time to mark the 10-year anniversary of the original. The original film's cast, which includes Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried, Stellan Skarsgard and Colin Firth, will return for the sequel "with new additions joining them," according to a Universal release. Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, former members of ABBA, will be aboard again to provide music and lyrics and serve as executive producers — with a selection of ABBA songs not featured in the first film. |

Fernando, One Of Us, Under Attack, Ring Ring, The Day Before You Came as highlights off the top of my head, and they can easily use album tracks as well like with Our Last Summer or Slipping Through My Fingers in the first one. |

I enjoyed the first film and I've seen the musical on broadway so I'm no hater, it was just a story that never needed a sequel |

The first one was crap anyway, so what can you expect from this. |

I would have been all over this about 8 years ago, but now I just don't really know WHAT THE POINT IS (aside from $$$). They've obviously announced they will be redoing some of the songs from the first one, so that's DQ, TWTIA, probably LAYLOM and a handful more covered already.
I suppose if they get LA BARANSKI back I'll at least be moderately excited. |

Think I'm the only person who isn't bothered or fazed by it at all.
 Like, the first movie is enjoyable enough, I guess. But the more I watched it, the more it grated.But at least Meryl has her Oscar 2019 nomination sorted!
