Michael Smith hit the Premier League's first nine-darter for nearly three years in a 7-5 win over Daryl Gurney in Dublin.
The Englishman delighted a sell-out crowd at 3Arena as he followed two maximum 180s with a 141 checkout.

The PDC Home Tour, will see all players with a tour card have the chance to feature across 32 consecutive nights.

The PDC has confirmed the 2020 World Matchplay will take place from July 18-26, live on Sky Sports.
Rob Cross is pleased that the World Matchplay will be going ahead next month on it’s original dates whether it can be held with a crowd or elsewhere behind closed doors.
Cross said it’ll be tough to potentially go straight back into a big tournament like the World Matchplay almost straight away but as defending champion, he is glad that the sport is beginning to move again in the right direction.
“It’s great news, I’m over-the-moon. I know that the PDC has been working so hard to keep the sport ticking along despite such difficult circumstances,” said Cross to DartsWorld.
“It’s fair to say we are all desperate to get back to the big stage if it is safe to do so for all players”.
“It will be tough to come back and straight into a major event like the Matchplay. But it’s a sign that life is getting back to normal hopefully.”
The PDC have announced the resumption of the Players Championship events in the form of the PDC Summer Series which will take place between July 8-12 at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes.
With the World Matchplay set to take place either in front of a crowd or behind closed doors between July 18-26, all 128 Tour Card holders will be given the opportunity to compete in five events in a row.
This is subject to UK Government Quarantine policy on overseas visitors. As usual, prize money will stand at £75,000 per event, with all money counting towards the PDC Order of Merit.
The World Matchplay is taking place on it’s original dates of 18-26 July but the venue is still unknown with a decision based on crowds to be taken nearer to the tournament known as the second biggest on the PDC calendar.
Earlier on Friday, it was announced that the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes would host the PDC Summer Series; which will see five days in a row of Players Championship action.
A venue that has worked well in recent times for Matchroom’s Championship League Snooker; it could yet be utilised for the World Matchplay.
The winner of the 2020 PDC Summer Series Order of Merit will be rewarded with a place in this year’s Grand Slam of Darts.
PDC competition has been suspended since mid-March due to the covid-19 pandemic but is set to resume in July with a series of behind closed doors events in Milton Keynes.
It has been confirmed that next month’s five events at the Marshall Arena will count towards the PDC Order of Merit, the ProTour Order of Merit and the Summer Series Order of Merit.
The PDC Summer Series will comprise the final five tournaments to count towards qualification for the Betfred World Matchplay, which will take place from July 18-26.
The host venue for the World Matchplay and whether it is to be open to the public or held behind closed doors is yet to be confirmed.
The Summer Series, from July 8-12, will see the sport’s stars return to competition in-person with five one-day Players Championship events.

Northern Ireland's Kyle McKinstry and Dutchman Wessel Nijman have been suspended by the Darts Regulation Authority over alleged match-fixing.
The DRA says it was alerted to "suspicious betting" on games in which the two men played by the International Betting Integrity Association.
The Professional Darts Players Association (PDPA) says McKinstry has indicated an intention to appeal.
Nijman has accepted his charge, saying he made a "stupid mistake".
The events in question, played online in April and May, were regulated by the DRA but were unconnected with the Professional Darts Corporation.
Both 33-year-old McKinstry, ranked 99 in the PDC order of merit, and 20-year-old Nijman played on the PDC's Challenge Tour early in 2020 before the coronavirus pandemic severely affected the calendar.

Price, 35, added the Grand Prix title to the World Series he won last month and his two Grand Slam crowns.
Aubergine farm office worker Van Duijvenbode, 28, the first debutant to reach the final, was 2-0 and 4-1 down but had the highest finish with a 135.

Wessel Nijman has been banned from darts for five years for breaching betting and anti-corruption rules.
Half of the 20-year-old's ban will be suspended if he engages in player education and anti-corruption measures.
Nijman, who was suspended in August after the Darts Regulation Authority (DRA) was alerted to suspicious betting, "fully accepts" the decision.
The case regarding Northern Ireland's Kyle McKinstry is ongoing.
The International Betting Integrity Association alerted the DRA to betting on games in April and May in which Nijman and McKinstry, 33, played.
Nijman admitted fixing his 4-0 defeat by David Evans on 14 May in the Modus Icons of Darts series, claiming at the time of his suspension that he had been "put under some pressure to lose a match".
