seen quite a few other stuff on the internet as well that Camila is releasing on May 5th!

Really hyped for this if true! <3

READY. wub.gif

It's been confirmed that the first solo single from former Fifth Harmony star Camilla Cabello will be released this Friday 19th May. There has been no title confirmed as of yet, but the song is set to be influenced heavily by Cuban and Latin music.

Can't wait for this 😍

Posted by: all is vanity. May 14 2017, 11:16 PM

I hope I like it more than Bad Things.

Omg that title gives me Green Light teas, perched *.*

Posted by: Juan Carlos 🌊 May 16 2017, 05:11 PM

It's indeed called "Crying In the Club". The song impacts US pop radio next week.

I was thinking emotional pop banger, similar to green light!

Posted by: Jonjo May 16 2017, 10:03 PM

READY FOR THIS.

Now, please just deliver! I kinda want it to be one of those dancefloor tearjerkers. Like 'With Every Heartbeat'/'Dancing On My Own'!

Posted by: mdh May 16 2017, 10:23 PM

My gut tells me this'll be very Marian Hill meets Lorde, a kind of moody r&b pop track with piano's. Regardless I'm excited.

Posted by: cqmerqn May 16 2017, 10:27 PM

Very very very hyped

Posted by: burbe May 17 2017, 04:32 PM

I love the artwork!

Posted by: lotita May 17 2017, 04:46 PM

oh wow- this is shaping up to have the potential to be amazing!

Don't forget the ultimate tearjerker banger!

I hear the music but I can't dance
I should be moving but I'm stuck
And I need to fight this feeling
So I stay here on the floor
I'm not supposed to love you
Not supposed to love you anymore

the trailer has me properly hyped!

Posted by: Liаm May 18 2017, 01:59 AM

WRITTEN BY BENNY BLACNO AND SIA THIS IS GOING TO DECIMATE

Posted by: Joe. May 18 2017, 08:01 AM

This is kinda disappointing. Selena's is better. This sounds like a mash up of 4 Sia songs. Given Camila has such a distinctive tone, I find it odd she is doing Sia-isms throughout the song, I feel like more effort should have been made to give this its own stamp.

Posted by: Juan Carlos 🌊 May 18 2017, 09:47 AM

Camila sounds like Sia and I think the latter is doing background vocals. Also, I'm not sure if the sample of "Genie In A Bottle" is good or not though.

Posted by: lotita May 18 2017, 09:54 AM

Well this is incredibly disappointing :')

Posted by: burbe May 18 2017, 09:57 AM

It's not good for her to basically sound like a standard Sia song for her solo debut. It might do something but I hope it doesn't because it's lazy af.

Also the Genie In The Bottle sample laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm May 18 2017, 10:46 AM

It feels like she's desperate for a hit laugh.gif It's a bit of a banger but she's really emulating Sia's voice which is silly as she has such a distinctive voice herself.

"You think dat you jasajd haghgujd"

EDIT: with more listens this is a banger idc

Posted by: Jonjo May 18 2017, 11:43 AM

This is amazing.

Maybe I was pre-warned via your guys comparisons or something laugh.gif but I was expecting it to be a literal direct copy cat of Sia, and although there are certainly some moments in the song, it's nowhere near as much as I feared!

As a debut, this will work perfectly fine, imo. It sounds like it'll be one of those big number 4 hits.

Posted by: Klaus May 18 2017, 12:10 PM

It does make me laugh that she had that big Insta speech about how personal and lethargic this album is and why it is called The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving. and then the first single isn't even written by her and she is literally doing an exact vocal replication of Sia which sounds nothing like her normal voice.

Posted by: Davidson May 18 2017, 01:12 PM

What is the point in leaving the group to release a single this devoid of any individual identity?

I'm gonna guess tense relations in the group (i.e. none of them could stand her and she made their lives hell).

Or maybe they made her life hell?

Posted by: ~josh~ May 18 2017, 04:36 PM

I guess it is quite nice but it's a shame it is basically devoid of personality and it sounds nothing like her. I was hoping for something a bit more exciting from her debut as I was expecting her to explode immediately onto the scene as a solo artist whereas this is a bit limp (but still nice). I like the Genie in a Bottle sample though even if it is completely random :')

Or maybe all 5 of them made each other's lives hell equally. I can imagine that.

Posted by: Liаm May 18 2017, 05:17 PM

I can imagine a bit of both, I think she clearly couldn't wait to be out of the group and that probably showed to them, she was only putting up with them until she could make her solo break, but the others also seemed a bit cliquey against Camila. I can see it being a mutual thing where neither side tried to remedy it and it all got way out of hand laugh.gif

Posted by: Scene May 18 2017, 07:22 PM

It sounds BIG

Posted by: cqmerqn May 18 2017, 08:33 PM

On first listen she really sounds like Sia, but that's not a bad thing hey? I love it a lot!!!

Should be a big hit, it's incredible.

Posted by: cqmerqn May 18 2017, 10:53 PM

Can't get over this wub.gif

The 'hey hey' ksmssksn

Posted by: Yeasty Clutch May 18 2017, 11:22 PM

Where are you all hearing this??

Posted by: Jonjo May 18 2017, 11:38 PM

Is Camila releasing over here... orrrrrr...?

Cannot find it on Spotify anywhere! laugh.gif Is it having one of those radio premiere things? I thought it was released in Australia, hence why we heard it via josephvixna or whatever that site's called laugh.gif So I assumed we'd get it at midnight lmao.

Posted by: Liаm May 18 2017, 11:40 PM

Josepvinaixa said it "leaked" via Tidal but idg how, I think I might be supposed to be out at 5am our time/midnight US and that's when we get it.

Posted by: tommie May 18 2017, 11:50 PM

This is quite good innit.

Posted by: all is vanity. May 19 2017, 04:28 AM

I'm liking it.

Posted by: Cody S. Berry May 19 2017, 04:45 AM

I think the Sia influence is definitely prominent especially in the "thousand fires" lyric.

I was SCREAMING at the Genie In A Bottle sample but overall it was pretty good. Can't help but think that it's missing G-Eazy though...

Posted by: SeanGrey May 19 2017, 04:58 AM

Awful quality here but better than I expected from her!

Posted by: Cremey May 19 2017, 07:02 AM

Definitely very Sia and I was hoping she'd come out with something more distinctive but I'm loving it regardless. I actually love the Genie sample, I think it works so well. Seriously no idea what she's even saying at the end of the first line though, that diction :')

Posted by: mdh May 19 2017, 07:34 AM

You think, that you dawihlaudih wub.gif

Seriously, this is incred & I'm LOVING it. It's a Sia clone but it still feels like Camilla for me, I really hope this is a huge hit.

Posted by: jjake May 19 2017, 08:05 AM

the intro is even v 'the greatest'...i don't get how something this obvious can pass through...i actually would love the full blown sia version!

Posted by: Davidson May 19 2017, 11:59 AM

The first song is so much better.

Posted by: Liаm May 19 2017, 12:14 PM

The first song does sound fab, and more her. I am LOVING this song though even if it just feels like the obvious first hit to set up her album as well as possible laugh.gif The video is a bit boring but fits the song quite well I suppose.

Posted by: SeanGrey May 19 2017, 12:40 PM

It's a great song* but her voice is SO, SO, SO, ANNOYING. drama.gif

*on first listen in HQ.

Posted by: Jack May 19 2017, 12:45 PM

Obsessed with this, it is quite Sia but it's good Sia so I love it.

Posted by: Kye May 19 2017, 02:28 PM

Could they only afford one verse and a chorus from Sia?
I really like it but it's literally the same verse and chorus looped x3!

Posted by: Yeasty Clutch May 19 2017, 09:07 PM

People like this??? V. repetitive, just like Perfect Ilusion - 'YOU WERE SO PPEEEERFEEEEEECT, PERFECT ILLUSSSSSSIOOOOOON'.

Amma go listen to Genie, much better.

Posted by: KWEEN_DEE May 19 2017, 11:13 PM

She has another song coming Monday...

Posted by: Jonjo May 20 2017, 12:26 AM

The video is fantastic! The way it transitions from 'I Have Questions' to 'Crying In The Club' is so brilliant!

'I Have Questions' is great too! Feels so much more like what she should be doing, but I don't mind 'Crying In The Club' so I'm not too bothered that this is her debut. I understand the criticisms that she left to go solo and does something so faceless. But this is such a strong song, that I don't think it really matters in all honesty (well not to me at least laugh.gif)

Posted by: Liаm May 20 2017, 12:30 AM

Yeah I don't care if she sounds like herself, Sia, Janis Joplin or Julie Andrews, it's a bop and a massive pop song which I am loving. As I said I think this is the safe solid hit to get her career kicked off, then she'll have stuff that sounds more like her. Not that she'll be doing thrash metal or jazz fusion or anything like that on the album, I expect it'll still be pretty safe pop but like if you don't get a hit with a Sia clone, you probably won't get one laugh.gif

Posted by: Addy K!ng May 20 2017, 04:16 PM

I am actually digging this ohmy.gif wub.gif

Posted by: Scene May 20 2017, 05:11 PM

This is already leagues ahead of any Fifth Harmony output.

Posted by: troylovesmusic May 20 2017, 10:13 PM

This is grown one me massively the more I play it really liking it now . It's literally the love child of 'Cheap Thrills' and 'Shape Of You' though !

Posted by: Neil May 21 2017, 02:08 AM

I like it a lot more than I thought I would, but to her discredit it's probably because it sounds like she's just singing the same version that Sia likely provided on demo. Considering that Camila co-wrote on this it really just sounds like a Sia track through and through.

Posted by: Jonjo May 21 2017, 06:06 AM

'I Have Questions' is coming tomorrow! biggrin.gif

Posted by: Liаm May 21 2017, 02:57 PM

Am I alright to say I'm....erm....liking this? I was all ready to be bored of it but it's catchy and really reminds me of Eurovision! ohmy.gif

Posted by: jjake Jun 2 2017, 11:10 AM

i actually love this but would much prefer it if it were a sia lead single, it has no camilla identity!!

such a good sample as well!

Posted by: jjake Jun 2 2017, 11:10 AM

she's a total star as well i hope it works out for her

Posted by: cqmerqn Jun 5 2017, 05:26 PM

I hate the way she says "ain't true"... "ay choo"

Posted by: SeanGrey Jun 23 2017, 03:08 PM

Performed on Jimmy Fallon last night. Turned the performance off midway through due to classic Cabello doing the rounds of vocal gymnastics drama.gif

Lol I just watched the performance and came here to post how much I loved it!

I still really dislike pretty much everything she did in 5H but I must say, she's really impressing me as a solo artist thus far.
