I think the last time I went was the first Christopher Reeve Superman movie, in 1978. laugh.gif

As you can probably tell, I'm not a 'crowd' person. smile.gif

once a fortnight or so, time permitting. The great thing about being over 60 is you get cheaper tickets, and if you go after lunch weekdays it's not busy, just a few other older folk dotted about here and there laugh.gif I can sit near the front with my entire view absorbed by a giant screen and the world shut out. Prob why I often nod off, it's relaxing laugh.gif

Had about three years of going every week, twice if possible and there was enough out to interest me. Now I’ve found other stuff to occupy my time so go less often and am more picky, but I still have my Cineworld card and have no plans to cancel it so will still try to go at least twice a month if I can.

I have a Cineworld unlimited card which I pay monthly for so I try to go at least twice a month as that’s all it needs to make the card worth it. That can be a struggle in months when there’s nothing decent out (September was rubbish but I made up for it in October.)

Odd few occasions a year now - more for the big event films! This year I’ve only gone for Avengers: Endgame and It: Chapter Two but will also likely go for Star Wars.

Nothing against the state of films as I’d love to go regularly but it’s just expensive!

Only a few times a year really. I'd probably go more if I was more drawn to the films on offer tbh. I'll be going to a showing of 'Friends' the TV show next month laugh.gif A Dublin cinema is showing 12 episodes over the course of 3 days (each day has 4 episodes) as kind of a 25-year anniversary thing (the show started in 1994). As much as it would be cool to go to all of them, I'm only going to the last day, chose that one cos it has the episodes I'm most interested in seeing.

I go when I really want to see the film or it's getting high acclaim, I try to avoid the big blockbusters mainly as I hate packed cinemas, but Star Wars and Joker are recent examples where I just couldn't! So in that case, I either wait at least a few weeks so the crowds calm down or just book an early screening before midday if possible. There are many films I can easily wait until they're out on DVD or streaming though, most Disney films and superhero movies released in the school holidays are big examples, I watched Avengers Endgame on a plane kink.gif

I last went to see Toy Story 4 but before then it would probably have been quite a gap. It's one of those things that I find hugely overpriced so I'll only go when I have half price tickets or something. It was different when I was younger because the experience of going to the cinema was so much greater than watching a film on your TV, that's not so much the case these days.

Wow it's kinda starting to amuse me how non-mainstream I seem to be getting, just more & more... I rarely go to a movie for the reason that it's big and I don't want to miss out or something. In fact I mourn that there aren't that many oddities or more obscure films being shown around here laugh.gif I'm grateful that my local art centre shows more stuff like that tho, I try to go fairly often, it's stimulating.

Of course there's good stuff across basically all areas but I'm just chuckling to myself at this observation.

I tend to go a few times per year, normally for the films which have been hyped up to epic levels.

I've got an Odeon Limitless Card so I usually go at least once a week. Though there was a long period a few months back where I didn't go at all for about 6 weeks as there was absolutely nothing good on that I hadn't already seen.
