Taking the most notable new releases of the week I have shortlisted the potentials for Buzzjack's TOTW. Simply vote for your favourites and the song with the most votes will be the official BJ:TOTW winner! In the event of a double release/album by an artist, I'll choose the one that's been pushed on Spotify's New Music Friday UK playlist/higher on iTunes etc. Remixes or new versions are not included. The contenders: Anabel Englund & MK - Underwater Ashton Irwin - Skinny Skinny Bastille - survivin' Bruce Springsteen – Ghosts Fleet Foxes - Can I Believe You Galantis & NGHTMRE (feat. Liam O'Donnell) - Tu Tu Tu (That's Why We) IDLES - War Jennifer Lopez & Maluma - Pa Ti Kylie Minogue - Magic R3HAB & Nina Nesbitt - Family Values Royal Blood - Trouble's Coming Machine Gun Kelly (feat. I was hoping you'd be posting this thread late again so I could sneak in some late votes before the new thread went up again like last week
As it were I'd have made negligible difference last week as I've just belatedly listened through the songs now and there was only one song I'd have voted for (slowthai). Gave him another vote since the poll was still open anyway bringing him to a grand total of 2. Yay. xox (Sam Smith's song was probably my 2nd fave on the list but still not really vote-worthy, was a very mediocre week, sadly even Pendulum's comeback was pretty underwhelming). |

Much better list than last week! Voted for Anabel Englund/MK, Bruce Springsteen, Fleet Foxes, IDLES (finally a second song from them that I can properly get behind!), MoStack/AJ Tracey, Royal Blood and Travis Scott/Young Thug/M.I.A. and thought most of the others on the list were at least decent too. Though a large WTF at Vin Diesel x
'Magic' is fine but a big step down from 'Say Something' for me, no shock at it running away with this poll though ofc (but nice to see a surprisingly strong 2nd place for Royal Blood!) |
