It was just a bit more than 2 years ago when 54 nations arrived to Saint Stinat to compete for the crown, to become the winner of BJSC CVI (the winner was Fljótavík, you remember the fantastic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJiW9NIAROc, right?)

However, not everyone was this lucky, the hopes and dreams of 18 countries were crushed at the semi stage.

Task 1

14 currenty active countries came back to Land of DW to change their faith - who will conquer their dark past and who will be unlucky enough to DNQ in Saint Stinat once again?

I reckon around half of these will DNQ again this time, and half will reverse their fortunes.

As an aside, Un Altro Giorno Sulla Terra remains one of my top five songs of the last five years period, asbolute summer ANTHEM <3333 That middle-eight followed by the instrumental carnival-esque breakdown is my favourite 40 seconds of music in the entire last decade (maybe along with the last minute of Euphoria).

I feel that Saint Stinat is not fertile hunting grounds for the Republic.


Eine Sprache was unfairly robbed. A lovely song of togetherness struck down by BJSCs allergy to non-English music. The irony.

Funnily enough my instincts for most of the qualifiers is "about the same". Maybe Bhangra and Farc slightly better, Summericia not being quite that high, but I could see much of that order staying pretty solid,

Summericia: lower
Jadakissnia: lower (I think all of these 3 have a shot at being top 10 again, but I don't see FLJ winning again, and I'm not sure I see Summericia/Jadakissnia beating 4th/5th)
St. Burbia: lower
Séyetana: lower
Skall: lower (cute song but I don't see Masayoshi escaping the bottom 5)
Danæviia: higher
Dobago: lower
Terra Avium: higher (this is the hardest one to call as I could really see Varien finishing almost anywhere, I feel optimistic though)
Aeroche: higher
Rolloland: higher (similar to Terra Avium although I think Perry Farrell probably has a lower potential ceiling, still being optimistic again though)
Vülkyria: higher
Altyr Muunilinst: higher
Land of DW: higher
Ultraviolenceland: higher

I'll put a rough position area for each in brackets.

Fljótavík: lower (top 5 still)
Summericia: lower (top 30, would be happy with a higher position but I don't really see myself being quite high)
Jadakissnia: lower (could easily get top 5 I think, I'll say top 10 to be safer)
St. Burbia: lower (bottom 10 ish)
Séyetana: lower (top 20/25)
Skall: lower (same as Bré, I like the song but bottom 5 :'( )
Danæviia: higher (winner contender)
Dobago: lower (hard one as I'd like to say the same position or so.. top 20 anyway)
Terra Avium: higher (top 10/15)
Aeroche: higher (winner contender/top 3)
Rolloland: higher (although still low top 20)
Vülkyria: higher (top 15)
Altyr Muunilinst: higher (top 10)
Land of DW: higher (top 25)
Ultraviolenceland: higher (top 20)

while I gave it the longest odds I'm going to give the take that Skall will NOT be bottom 5.
