I was hesitant about giving this a go because I didn't think it looked great from the trailer but I love Emma Roberts so I gave it a go...and was pleasantly surprised. I think the biggest laughs probably came within the first 10 minutes but the first half had a few before it dries up a bit as rom-coms typically do as they get more soppy. Glad I watched it, as predictable as it may be.

Also I loved some of the ridiculous moments, including the implication that you need a date for Mother's Day laugh.gif

I thought this was an ok movie. It felt like it could have been a very good film with different writers (if you remove some of the unfunny jokes/skits)

It’s an alright movie but geez I’m so tired of movies trying to tell us that we NEED to find a romantic partner to be truly happy lol. The movie goes so overboard with expressing that they’re wrong for wanting to be single it’s kind of offputting. It’s especially ironic since the only truly happy and content character in this movie seems to be the “crazy” single aunt lmao.
