I would have greatly welcomed White Diamond as the bonus track ahead of NYC.

I don't think it was, there was a thread created in the forum some months back which listed songs that were almost singles but i don't recall White Diamond appearing on the list.

I found that thread a good read, but I remain unconvinced about the legitimacy of a lot of the ones that appeared there...

I would love to part of an album meeting when the album is planned out, how they decide on the singles etc.
I think it would be hugely interesting and also to see how many people are involved in the process of selecting singles.

I think based on what I've seen artists say, it's generally done by committee and a majority decision/vote wins.

Alot of the time they get it right but when they get it wrong it's really wrong e.g 2 hearts a lead single ahead of the one.

I think overall, the right single choices were selected.
X is a good example of bad decisions, Fever is an example of excellent decisions.
