With the help of its newly released music video, it looks like we will get another week at the top for Drake with 'God's Plan' in the singles chart. Whether that's a good or bad thing is up for debate. With the BRIT Awards being shown this Wednesday though we could see a new peak for Dua Lipa with 'IDGAF', as well as Ed Sheeran's forthcoming single from '÷' which is likely to come with a remix if he's learnt anything from the success of the 'Perfect' campaign. Other new entries may come from Samantha Harvey with 'Please', Hailee Steinfeld & BloodPop® with 'Capital Letters', Muse with 'Thought Contagion' or Sean Paul & David Guetta with 'Mad Love' (feat. Becky G).
In the albums chart the BRITs effect should be more pronounced with sales boosts expected from Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Rag'n'Bone Man, Stormzy and J Hus who are nominated for Album Of The Year. The Greatest Showman OST should remain as number one album by some distance though. New entries in the albums chart may come from acts including The Temperance Movement, Belle & Sebastian, Everything Is Recorded, Nipsey Hussie and Rejjie Snow. The BRITs album should be the week's #1 compilation.

Fingers crossed for Kendrick & SZA to go top 10 this week. Not sure if there's anything else of interest going on.
So what do people think will eventually topple The Greatest Showman? I’m not seeing anything jump out at me on the release schedule...
Divide after the BRITs most likely!
Ed's sales would have to more than triple to overtake TGS at the moment, I don't think the BRITs are going to be THAT much of a boost. I think TGS is here to stay for a while longer. The next new release with any chance at all of hitting #1 that I can see is George Ezra in late March...
If that's the case Mama Mia 2 will likely overtake TGS!
I’d love Zedd go top 40 this week!
Calum/Leona to scrape Top 40 please with multiple versions of the song all 59p on iTunes
Calum at #40 - they need to get him some promo (Although this song sounds like it should have been a winter/Christmas hit).
Also at The Chainsmokers climbing - loving their new sound.

nice to see portugal the man top 3!!
Dua Lipa well placed for a new Album peak this week (especially with upcoming BRITs boost).
EDIT: just seen the Sales though, they are pretty low so far.
Jamie T - Panic Prevention back at #64 *.* apparently because of a vinyl reissue or something, send me a copy pls
Blimey! Sales are very poor this week! Unfortunately the Brits is too late in the sales week to rescue them!
Yeah! Great to see Dua and Camila back to the top 5 albums
Lovin' this big River fall.
Capital Letters at #41 today. Hopefully it will be top 40 on Friday.
I hope “Wavey” can scrape into the top 40 on Friday
rest of the chart update has been filled.
Album sales outside the Greatest Showman are shockingly bad.
Huge falls for Franz Ferdinand and MGMT, very fanbase purchases only last week.
Thought the Everything Is Recorded album might have made a little bit more impact with some of the names involved. Not that I thought it would be massive but it's likely to miss the T75 at this rate.
for you will miss the top 5
'For You' is being performed at the BRITs, so hopefully it'll have a lasting effect, big enough to push it top 5 next week!
im tired of Jess getting blocked. Do they still have a chance against Drake?
They need promotion somewhere. Graham Norton will do.
Wavey so closeee
the Rudimental song is the best pop song of the year, deserves to be number one
But they aren’t performing there

Yaaaass come through Capital Letters. Who knew Hailee could manage to pull of having two Top 40 hits at the same time?
How odd for Everything Is Recorded to jump 70-21 in this set of mids, it must've had a lot of missing sales yesterday.
Looks like 'Capital Letters' will be this week's sole new entry in the singles unless the BRITs shake anything up (or if Calum Scott or Zedd climb in which is also quite likely). Not the most interesting of chart weeks so far.
Yasss for Zedd!
The hip hop monopoly on the charts is getting so boring. Maybe I'm getting old (I'm 24...) but so many songs at the moment sound the exact same and aren't exciting at all.
J Hus, Not3s, Ramz, Post Malone, Migos... all these artists are just blurring into one for me.
Drake's sound is obviously more well known but God's Plan is boring to me.
Is pop dying?
How’s Kojo Funds and RAYE doing?
Post Malone releasing on Friday. It's over for Rudimental
I must admit I am struggling a bit with this afro bashment stuff (J Hus, Not3s etc), just seems to really lack energy and although I don't hate it unlike tropical pop, I find it really dull. It's all a far cry from the likes of Pass Out and Earthquake. But I'm 35, was bound to start feeling really alienated by chart music eventually. Hopefully bangers will come back into fashion and I'll enjoy the next chart trend.
I think MW staff are all at the BRITs tonight... how rude

Paloma in the singles and albums please?
Good to see Capital Letters enter, really strong pop track that unlike her other "song" in the Chart atm.
Is For You at 8?
How long do people think the Greatest Showman soundtrack will be number one for, there isn't anything released for ages that looks a surefire number one. It could still be number one by the time the film comes out to buy which could see another boost in sales for it
Wonder if For You will see a boost of any kind following its BRITs performance.
Shame Dua didn't perform at least a medley with IDGAF in it, the plaform might've helped it threaten for #1 in the next few weeks.
Ed will probably see a surge after that performance too, was that the next single planned I wonder or just a choice to perform for tonight?
I hope NR hasn’t done enough to back to SCR. She could’ve performed IDGAF instead and challenged for #1
Omg, Dua Lipa is the #1 album on iTunes
Sadly even though Dua Lipa is number on itunes its not really enough due to streaming.
But every little bit helps i suppose
