Looks great Silas! No problem. dance.gif

Nice to see their back catalogue still has life in it. They're quite a force on Spotify, too!

I must admit I was hopeful some of their stuff would have done a bit better on Spotify. But they have been a little quiet since the invention of Spotify so no real reason for people to go hunting for their older stuff.

Yeah, I think you're right about the more recent popularity of Spotify and the presence of the girls. I meant in terms of monthly listeners (well over a million, and growing!), because it definitely shocks me to see songs like Freak at such a low level. Again, I'm sure once they properly come back into the public eye, it can only mean good things for their streaming power.

ChartMasters have given a throwback to the April 2006 French Singles Chart, when Push The Button was at #29 with sales of 3,443 (having peaked at #17 the week before):

I love coming across random chart info like this - partly because it's extremely difficult to get their European figures beyond the basic certification levels! It also reminded me what a monster hit PTB was across the world - 150k in Germany, 70k Australia, 50k Sweden, and it can't be that far off platinum in the UK.

The lack of global sales info is a bit frustrating as the girls did pretty well outside the UK so would really ramp up their sales totals if we knew this information.

Taller especially did really well across Europe. I seem to recall it hitting a mill across the continent very quickly

Exactly. Their discography is still very impressive out with the UK.

You're right about Taller - it was certified for 1 million European sales in 2006, which is really quick! Three and Angels also received awards.

If they’d been able to break America they would have been massive. Getting Hole In The Head to Chart in the hot 100 is still pretty impressive

It's amazing! Could've been the start of their (more than deserved) international success, but there always seemed to be a problem when it came to America. Mutya's pregnancy halted proper Three promo; The Taller plans were scrapped when Mutya left; Keishagate during Sweet 7...

Song 4 Mutya has been reduced to 59p on iTunes for the week. Can't believe it's probably just over 100k - deserved so much more.

I can't even at how botched that release was. I can't believe that it's sold so little though. It was cherry picked from the albums so much

I know. It's been on reduction for a couple of weeks now (potentially 3) - would be amazing to see it gain some respectable sales. It's been hanging around iTunes for quite a bit (#1148 atm).

Back with another (random) update! Europe's love affair with Overload continuing into 2018. wub.gif

Overload - #171 (Denmark)
Overloaded - #120 (Fiji)

On a side note, I've spent the past few weeks compiling a worldwide sales/discography archive for 1.0-4.0/MKS/Mutya's solo career. Tried to make it as complete as possible, but if anyone has any updated sales/European/worldwide stats then that would be massively appreciated.

I'll probably add Siobhan's stats at some point. Not like it'll take long... cry.gif

Poor Siobhan. I remember hearing about the midweek position of Revolution in Me and I felt pity for her so I ended up buying it. Best pity buy ever.

Worst pity buy? Geri's Desire.

Similarly, I saw Ghosts' chart update and made an immediate pity buy. One of the best decisions I ever made!

About You Now has been certified Gold in Germany for 150,000 units! This is their third Gold single from BVMI, following on from Overload (250,000 - 2001 threshold) and Push The Button (150,000).
