Thanks as ever MK, must be a very quickly moving situation to keep track of all the release date changes at the moment.

The Mia album out this week confusingly seems to be by a German band (with a German language album), rather than the rather more famous M.I.A.

There's been a lot of talk about M.I.A lately, but for all the wrong reasons...

Mystery Jets stalling the album again but for obvious reasons! Pity about the Biffy move tho, August seems ages away!

Poses a question - which would people rather - a long campaign of 3/4 releases, album then campaign over or one single release then album then 3 lost album releases(the conventional way)?

The 1975's Notes On a Conditional Form is out on May 22nd - luckily not as big a delay as some albums have had.

It depends how much I love the artist. Most times i prefer one single and then album campaign but if the artist wants to tell a story via singles before the album, then I can wait

^nowadays, the traditional way seems over, most artists release a bunch of singles before the album then the final single is released on album release week and that's it, no more post-album singles

Yeh but I'm not sure I like albums being over once released. I think an earlier release would be my ideal approach so I can continue to listen to an album throughout a decent period.
