Another short poll. American singer Daya is still only a young singer at just 22 but she has made a claim to be a dance vocalist in the genres of EDM and downtempo. She may have only had a single hit in the UK as a featured artist, but something tells me she still has a very promising career ahead if she gets the right level of support behind her. She is still making music in 2020 and these are her collaborations to date;

Don’t Let Me Down (with The Chainsmokers)

Feel Good (with Gryffin & Illenium)

I Wanna Know (with RL Grime)

Wanted (with NOTD)

Older (with Shallou)

Which of her current dance features is your favourite?

Which dance producers would you like to see her feature with in the future?

I can’t believe it is already 4 years since Daya first came on the scene, I thought there would have been more mainstream success for her by now, but I guess it is still early days for her. For the first time in one of these polls, I am rating the artists features in the order of their creation, which sadly means a general decline in the quality of features as time has gone on;

1. Don’t Let Me Down (with The Chainsmokers)
2. Feel Good (with Gryffin & Illenium)
3. I Wanna Know (with RL Grime)
4. Wanted (with NOTD)
5. Older (with Shallou)

She has a good recording voice, and a decent range too, and I think she will start to get picked up by more EDM producers as time goes on. At just 22, she has loads left to give and a bright music career ahead. I tip her to record with Redlight and also to make a song with Mark Ronson on his next album.

Can't say I've actually heard any of the others but there's simply no way any of them will better Don't Let Me Down.
