It's coming!

Posted by: Jonjo Sep 15 2017, 06:10 PM

AAAHHHH. My favourite reality show wub.gif

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner Sep 15 2017, 07:27 PM

OMG YAAAAAAAAAAAAS

I love this! It's the best comedy on TV

Posted by: THEO. Sep 15 2017, 07:50 PM

YES. So ready for this, by far the best of the Q4 reality programmes! I hope there's not too many candidates this time around though, I think 14/16 is the perfect amount.

Posted by: burbe Sep 15 2017, 08:42 PM

SO EXCITED! One of my fave shows, I love it <3

Posted by: cqmerqn Sep 15 2017, 08:53 PM

Can't wait!!

Posted by: Brett-Butler Sep 15 2017, 09:01 PM

I was just thinking last night that I'd not heard anything about the new series recently, so glad it's back. Was worried it had been silently canned.

Posted by: HarryEzra Sep 16 2017, 12:15 AM

I cannot wait!!

Posted by: Jack Sep 16 2017, 04:11 PM

Last series was honestly my most favourite Apprentice series ever, mostly for Alana and Jessica wub.gif

Posted by: cqmerqn Sep 16 2017, 07:29 PM

I think Frances deserved it most last year

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Sep 16 2017, 07:59 PM

Yay! Hoping there's more decent competition this year, Alana did seem like the obvious winner from a mile off last year

Posted by: lewistgreen Sep 20 2017, 10:59 PM

Starting on October 4th cheer.gif

Posted by: Houdini Sep 20 2017, 11:21 PM

I'm looking forward to this! It would be nice if there's at least one outstandingly attractive woman in this series and hopefully there will be a dopey contestant just for the laughs laugh.gif, I think Thursdays would have been better than Wednesdays to show this.

Posted by: kye Sep 26 2017, 10:58 AM

They've revealed this years contestants: http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/reality-tv/feature/g24877/the-apprentice-2017-cast-revealed-bbc/

Quite a few of the guys look wub.gif

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner Sep 26 2017, 11:10 AM

I’m so pleased! The c**t-o-meter is registering off the chart results for this crowd, just as any good apprentice cast should!

Posted by: cqmerqn Sep 26 2017, 11:45 AM

Andrew looks like Tom Egerton but omg so many attractive males and females

Posted by: LexC Sep 26 2017, 02:14 PM

I'm gonna have to disagree...teh menz in this cast are not registering any major vibrations for me. Still hyped for this though!

Ditto.

Previous winners Alana, Mark, Leah and Tom will appear in the first episode to give candidates 'advice' biggrin.gif

I know it's not nice to make fun of someone's appearance, but Charles...

Sarah-Jayne, Joanna & Jade could be growers if they stay in the competition for long but apart from that there's no fit ladies this year sad.gif

Still it looks like a decent cast in terms of entertainment and comedy. You just know Elizabeth wont last long in this laugh.gif

I doubt any contestant will match my love for Sanjay from 2014, such a hottie.

SO excited for this to return to our screens tomorrow *.*

Had a good laugh at the revealing of the contestants the other day, especially the quote that Chez pointed out laugh.gif :') bring it onnnn

Just over an hour until the fun starts! Watched the Matt Edmonson thingy but the only one I can remember is Sajan laugh.gif

Posted by: Brett-Butler Oct 4 2017, 07:07 PM

I got Joanna in our office Apprentice sweepstake (yes, our workplace does an Apprentice sweepstake), so for the sake of a very healthy Christmas bonus, she's whom I'd like to win.

Posted by: THEO. Oct 4 2017, 10:47 PM

Right person went home first - it was obvious which team had lost from the morning of the second day at the butchers, the boys spent two or three times what the girls did! They're all incredibly unlikable immediately which is great TV apart from the two dark-haired women who just seemed to be at each other's throats from 'hello'. I imagine they'll be separated from next week, similar to the two blondes two or three years back.

Posted by: jase. Oct 4 2017, 11:10 PM

Siobhan's a TWAT.

Posted by: LewisTScream Oct 4 2017, 11:20 PM

HATING Elizabeth which means she is absolutely amazing

Posted by: commonsense Oct 5 2017, 08:17 AM

Not happy at all. Charles should have gone but guess he's keeping him for entertainment purposes.

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Oct 5 2017, 08:19 AM

Charles won't last more than a couple of weeks methinks. He doesn't listen to anyone.

Posted by: Adam Oct 6 2017, 10:05 AM

The right person went. Charles has problems but wasn't at fault for the failure, the project manager was accused of not being able to make decisions... then floundered on his decision in front of Lord Sugar... bye!

Posted by: Brett-Butler Oct 11 2017, 08:14 PM

"Is there such a thing as a tree with fur?"

There's the quote of the series there.

Posted by: Cursed Wombat Oct 11 2017, 09:22 PM

I knew them designing a hotel room would be a mess and they were both hilariously shit as expected, the boys room looked like a little boy's bedroom with those colours <3

I would've fired Ross ('I'd appreciate not being interrupted' !!!), though Jeff is no loss. Need some of the girls to go though as there's some awful candidates there, Elizabeth in particular :')

Posted by: lot🎈IT🎈a Oct 11 2017, 09:40 PM

Elisabeth is iconically awful

Posted by: THEO. Oct 14 2017, 03:36 PM

So glad Jeff has gone, he was so irritating and his refusal to do something that he was clearly the best at was ridiculous! Both teams' rooms were shockingly bad though :')

Posted by: Calcified Froot Oct 14 2017, 03:40 PM

I don’t think the boys team have ever been this bad before!’

I don’t know how they’ve managed to find Elizabeth but love whoever casted her. They always have that person who has zero chance of winning but is completely over the top.

Posted by: Spiceboy Oct 16 2017, 12:32 AM

Loving the new series! Elizabeth is so funny. Glad Jeff went he was so irritating, and his reaction in the taxi was just cringe. Shame there is no James Hill eye candy this year, Harrison is ok and that Clark Kent lookalike is ok, but there's no real hunk like James (until he opened his mouth lol)

Posted by: Ryan. Oct 18 2017, 09:04 PM

Elizabeth is INCREDIBLE

Posted by: The Burbadook Oct 18 2017, 09:05 PM

Elizabeth is so iconic. I love her so much! Her vs. Siobhan is the highlight of every episode.

I've agreed with every firing so far this series - all three absolutely deserved to go! Although the girls were VERY lucky this week. They really didn't deserve the win.

Posted by: Calcified Froot Oct 18 2017, 09:09 PM

Eliott probably didn’t deserve to go because he was very much ganged up on by two people where there clearly did lie a lot of fault. The poster was a shambles and Michaela really should have left time to sort that out. I did feel their idea was much better than the generic, seen it all before girls team which had aneven more generic name. How they got so many orders I’ll never know.

I am glad that Elliot left though as he did seem like someone who was always looking to find blame and I don’t like those types of candidates. Michaela has a lot more potential so, while she should have gone on the basis of the task alone, I’m glad she stayed. Harrison is coming across as a but aggressive so far, I do think there is some potential though and I’d like to see him PM.

Siobhan needs to GO now, an absolute liability and so childlike. I’d noticed it in the first episode when she immediately was being sort of patronising to Elizabeth but she was horrendous tonight.

Posted by: lot🎈IT🎈a Oct 18 2017, 09:10 PM

elizabeth is ABSOLUTELY amazing. she needs to somehow make it to the end

elliot really was the only one who deserved to go from the boys team. siobhan needs firing soon tho :')

Posted by: jase. Oct 19 2017, 01:07 AM

ELIZABETH FOR CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER PLEASE. What an absolute queen.

If Siobhan lasts and she continues to be so vile, she could rival Jenny Celerier as one of the most loathsome Apprentice candidates ever.

Posted by: Brett-Butler Oct 19 2017, 05:45 AM

"Think of Anime and Japanese, like Ponyo, or Shrek."

Oh Apprentice, never change.

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Oct 19 2017, 06:30 AM

Hoping the teams swap next week so Siobhan finally gets booted.

Posted by: Sonia Fowler Oct 19 2017, 07:41 AM

The right person did leave he didn't feel like a team player and was trying to shift the blame a lot. Also lol at him attempting to take responsibility for the sales :')

Elizabeth is an ICON I love her *.* Her and Ross (I think thats his name) are my favourites.

Siobhan is just awful.

Posted by: Jack Oct 19 2017, 01:31 PM

Siobhan is diabolical, so nasty - I liked the girl who put her in her place, can't think of her name though? I wanna say Sophie?? Her firing will be such a watch, I can't wait.

Mirroring the love for Elizabeth, absolutely crazy but so likeable. Really liking Michaela, even if she just reminds me of a lesser Jessica Cunningham.

Posted by: jase. Oct 19 2017, 03:45 PM

The way Siobhan was taking the piss out of Liz in the car was sick2.gif

It was Sarah Lynn who put Siobhan in her place. I was cheering at the TV when she did! laugh.gif

Posted by: THEO. Oct 19 2017, 09:53 PM

Echoing the dislike for Siobhan - Sarah and Liz putting her in place was almost uncomfortable to watch but it was necessary. Very lucky that the girls won but their idea was good, their pitches were just very messy.

I'm glad Michaela stayed, she has such a likeable personality although she clearly was more responsible than Elliott, the earlier tasks are for getting rid of deadwood. Sajan needs to go soon, he is so irritating.

Loving the eye candy this year! Both James and Andrew are beautiful

Posted by: Cursed Wombat Oct 19 2017, 10:01 PM

Siobhan is vile, though Elizabeth is pretty much a cartoon character, where did they find her?! Both are in dire need of going. I rlly don't think the girls deserved to win considering their manner throughout the task, though I suppose at least their robot was less useless as well as not borderline offensive :')

Posted by: Spiceboy Oct 24 2017, 10:10 PM

Sinead (just to piss her off) needs to go!!!! She is horrid.

Posted by: THEO. Oct 25 2017, 09:54 PM

Cannot believe the boys' team won and they didn't get any deductions mellow.gif They were clearly very lucky in the same way that the girls were in the hotel task by spending as little money as possible. Their clients were obviously too pissed to complain about the crap food and entertainment although both teams' clients were unbelievably stingy with the amount of money they were willing to spend.

As much as I disliked Siobhan on previous tasks, I think she actually handled herself quite well this week so it's a shame to see her gone. Sarah-Jane's attitude towards Jade being a better salesperson than her was disgusting, I'm really growing to dislike her.

Posted by: Sonia Fowler Oct 25 2017, 09:57 PM

I think Johanna should have gone but I didn't like Siobhan anyway so not fussed tbh.

Posted by: cqmerqn Oct 25 2017, 10:43 PM

Siobhan deserved to stay but she was a bit clueless so idk...

Posted by: Jack Oct 25 2017, 10:44 PM

Really pleased Siobhan went, I find Elisabeth hilarious and I think Johanna has got potential still. Siobhan has been horrible in previous tasks.

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner Oct 25 2017, 10:46 PM

I agree here! it'll be interesting to see her as project manager next week

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Oct 26 2017, 10:33 AM

Siobhan wasn't actually that bad as PM, I guess when she had the responsibility there was nothing for her to argue about. I think she'd outstayed her welcome though, and we get to see Elisabeth for another week!

Posted by: Calcified Froot Oct 27 2017, 06:07 PM

Hmmm this episode quite annoyed me even though I’m SO happy to see Siobhan go.

First, the task was a bit rubbish as there was no negotiation on the food, drinks, entertainment or how much the clients would pay so you’re very limited in what you can do! Second, in all other similar tasks in previous episodes the focus has ALWAYS been on client expereince (so long as there’s a profit of course) and those who take ridic shortcuts like not having enough canapes are ridiculed in the boardroom. It’s a bit frustrating at times like this where the losing team is criticsed for something that others are normally praised for when they win.

Therefore, whilst I’m delighted Siobhan went because she’s just obnoxious, I don’t think it was entirely fair for her to go. It actually did go alright, the only problem was ordering too much drink/the open bar thing which I guess comes down to the PM but there have been far worse disasters in literally all other episodes. I did find it interesting that she made Elizabeth Sub-team leader though, a clear move go have back-up when they lose because she hates her and can pin the blame on her!

Posted by: Parallel Reality Nov 1 2017, 10:33 PM

Happy with the firing this week, though Lord Sugar could have fired all three IMO. Elizabeth is absolutely my favourite in the competition, but I like James too. I'm not currently a massive fan of Sarah Jane or Harrison though

Posted by: HarryApa Nov 1 2017, 11:20 PM

I don't think Ross should have been fired as yes he was weak but like it was an easy firing :") the other two did clearly did contribute to the failure of the task.

Posted by: Jonjo Nov 2 2017, 12:30 AM

Ross was completely the right choice. He was non existent, even when he was PM! I didn't think Sajan did that bad a job tbh. He made some on the spot decisions that weren't ideal, but the others were completely happy to and quite elated that he'd chosen to take the computer on. I think he still has quite a bit to give tbh.

Who I like: Jade, James, Michaela, Sajan & Sarah Lynn

Yeah she does come across as one of those types of people that would be quite bitchy in person. She's nice looking though!

At least one person from The Apprentice goes into the Big Brother house at some stage so probably it will be her.

Glad to see Ross go, I found him so unnecessarily arrogant and he doesn't really do much. So proud of Joanna for pulling it together and winning, go on girl! Joanna, Elisabeth and Michaela are definetly my firm favourites at the moment.

Really?! I'd say it'd be Elisabeth or Michaela. Possibly Harrison.

Posted by: THEO. Nov 2 2017, 06:18 PM

I think Ross was a deserved firing although Harrison just as easily could have gone due to his decision to chase the Amstrad computer when they were at the builder's merchant.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate Elisabeth's butch greeting when her subteam went to the builders?! :')

I would swap Sajan and Bushra and I'm pretty much the same as you although Joanna slightly redeemed herself this week.

Posted by: Klaus Nov 2 2017, 06:25 PM

I can see Joanna going in CBB if anything.

In terms of this episode, I think it was the right choice purely because he just didn’t gel with Alan Sugar at ALL and that’s just in the boardroom, never mind going into business!

I didn’t want Harrison to go because, although he was sub-team leader and so takes all the responsibility, they did all clearly agree together on the sub-team that they would prioitise and go after the Amstrad. I hated when Andrew said it was Harrison’s fault for going for the computer when HE was the one going ‘do we all agree’ ‘should we go for it’. I want him to go soon, he’s very arrogant.

We’re due a double/triple firing in the next couple of weeks!! I can definitely see it happening next week as the tour tasks always end up going disastrous for the losing team and this one will be worse if they’re abroad.

I love that this was repeated by a contestant too *. (I do always look forward to seeing her though)

Ross is certainly no (ahem) loss, even if I did enjoy his sassyness and completely serious belief that he was the smartest person in any given room, probably a bit too smart for this granted, and the other two I actually think are pretty good despite their poor performance this week.

Still can't believe both teams agonised so much, let alone pay THIRTY POUNDS, over a scarf they could've got at literally any football souvenirs shop for a tenner...

This season has been excellent thus far. It's been a vintage year. I mean I wouldn't go into business with a single one of them, but they are excellent TV.

Elisabeth is an utter queen. The definition of a week 7/8 contestant but what a bonkers loon. The Apprentice always needs one of them!

I've a bet on with my colleague at work and my three picks for the win are Michaela, Andrew and Joanna. So we shall see how that goes. Hopefully one of them wins or I'm buying lunch laugh.gif

Posted by: THEO. Nov 8 2017, 10:17 PM

So pleasing to see her team win this week! A little unfortunate that the segways were oversold to the customers but I think if the selling team had kept their mouths shut, the refunds would have been lower. The tour in general seemed more professional but there's no way I would've paid that much for either of them laugh.gif

Karen's comment to Charles and Anisa in the horse and carriage was hilarious <3

Posted by: burbe Nov 8 2017, 11:07 PM

I'm finding the lack of firings frustrating. All three of those in the final boardroom should have easily gone this week :/ God knows how Charles is still there. He's so useless :/

Meanwhile Elizabeth remains an icon and deserves to be the winner *.*

Posted by: Chez Wombat Nov 8 2017, 11:20 PM

I agree, I think he’s being a bit too lenient this series, while Sarah Jane was a no hoper, both men were clearly much more at fault than she was at the task and at least one of them should’ve gone with her. We’re really overdue a double firing, maybe next weeks *ahem* car crash might be it.

No words for Liz lmao but I kinda really want to see her at the interviews now :’)

Posted by: HarryApa Nov 8 2017, 11:50 PM

I am not really fussed she has gone. It seems as if Lord Sugar is firing the weak ones and not the ones that are more at fault though and to me its a bit like does it not make the whole losing the challenge a bit pointless if no one who caused it to fail goes?

Absolutely not. She will be too busy being Lord Sugars Business Partner. wub.gif
I think Sarah's firing had a lot to do with balancing out the Men/Women numbers. I fail to see what Charles has brought to any task.
Andrew, however, I think did a great job at guiding the tour. He was outgoing, and, hey.. not bad to look at. If he was my tour guide I would have been plenty happy (Clarifying, as a guide, he was great.. as sales.. he sucked.. I would have wanted to get sloshed based on what he was saying) but at the same point in time... he put himself out there way more than Charles.

Posted by: Jack Nov 9 2017, 01:22 AM

I thought Sarah Jane did the best out of the team in that task really! Charles is absolutely useless and deserved to go much more than her, the only firing I've disagreed with this series so far however.

Posted by: Houdini Nov 9 2017, 01:23 AM

I'm thinking that either Sarjan or Joanna will win at the moment.

Posted by: Jack Nov 9 2017, 01:25 AM

I agree with Joanna, she's getting a similar edit that Alana got last year. Can definitely see her going far. I think Michaela and Jade stand a good chance too.

All the guys seem a bit hopeless this year.

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Nov 9 2017, 08:57 AM

I think jade could win it actually! She seems to be great at selling and she's not come across too poorly.

Although Charles really should have gone last night.

Posted by: lotita Nov 9 2017, 10:01 AM

out of who is left i'm backing michaela to win (if not elizabeth obvs)

Posted by: Klaus Nov 10 2017, 06:06 PM

It definitely feels as though Sarah-Jayne was fired to balance up the genders but I also agree that he seems to be more on a mission to fire all those who aren't pulling their weight.

I don't know how Charles is still there and Andrew is so cringy and he should of gone for basically promoting a booze tour when you only got three tasters!

I was honestly hoping he'd fire all three of them. We're so overdue a multiple firing that he HAS to get rid of more of them very soon. There's 3 extra firings still to be made in four weeks unless he wants more at the interview stage!

Elizabeth actually having a PM win under her belt though omg

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner Nov 12 2017, 07:24 PM

I'm loving this episode. How Charles is still part of the process though I'll never know.

Actually thought Liz was a pretty decent PM. She had her team well drilled and well organised. Maybe a little too much freedom on the sales but the right amount of freedom, respect and responsibility during the negotiations on day 2. The first team I'd have liked to been a part of in a task.

Really really really need a double or treble firing. Feels so far in to have only had single firings. Especially with the amount of deadwood still in the competition.

Anyone watching on iPlayer 'The Apprentice: Honest Subtitles'? They're hilarious. Usually the highlight of my week.

Posted by: Jonjo Nov 15 2017, 09:29 PM

Posted by: Jonjo Nov 15 2017, 09:53 PM

Posted by: lewistgreen Nov 15 2017, 09:56 PM

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Nov 15 2017, 10:02 PM

Another single firing? Triple firing next week please.

Posted by: HarryApa Nov 15 2017, 10:13 PM

Lol he has gone so soft this series laugh.gif

Posted by: Chez Wombat Nov 15 2017, 10:15 PM

I mean that was the BEST opportunity for a double/triple firing and still no :/ gahhhh

Really disagree with that decision as well, I’m guessing Sajan had a bad business plan as I fail to see how he was more at fault than James in particular.

Posted by: THEO. Nov 15 2017, 11:16 PM

I was annoyed that Sugar brought Elisabeth back as he NEVER does that and was worried that it would result in her being immediately fired so I'm delighted she's through to another week. If she hadn't "interfered" in the decision making, she would have been accused of standing back/not contributing.

I'm pleased to see Sajan go but James was obviously responsible for the failure this week. I'm predicting him to win based on his current business though so I didn't think he would go (and am pleased!) Harrison didn't do much this week again and Andrew is really starting to grate so hopefully they'll both be on the losing team next week in the first multiple firing.

Posted by: burbe Nov 15 2017, 11:21 PM

The right person went for sure, but how on earth is Joanna still there too.

There's still so much deadwood, he really needs to cull the numbers next week!

I was very worried at Elisabeth getting brought back by Lord Sugar but queen survived yet again *.*

CAN ELISABETH PLEASE MAKE IT TO THE INTERVIEWS??? wub.gif

Glad Sajan went. He started grating on me and Sir Alan's analysis of him was spot on. As it was for Joanna too. Harrison and Andrew need to do one.. Asap.

Was so worried Elisabeth and Joanna would be going!

Odd firing, but I don't mind really - Sajan is dull. James definetly should've gone, and I don't think Bushra should've escaped either.

Next weeks task thoughhhh 😍😍😍😍

Posted by: Houdini Nov 15 2017, 11:55 PM

Has anyone noticed how Sarah Lynn is passing through the process with ease? she is the person who stands out the least but she seems to win every week so Alan Sugar never bats an eyelid when it comes to her.

Posted by: Martyn Nov 16 2017, 12:09 AM

I think next week has to be multiple firings.

I think maybe from both teams if it comes to it.

Elizabeth chasing the chickens IS the most iconic moment of the series *.*

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Nov 16 2017, 07:18 AM

Well he's got to get rid of five of them in the next three weeks so there's definitely a multi-fire on the way wink.gif

Maybe it's Sajan who will appear on Celebrity Big Brother at some stage!

I'd be shocked, he hasn't really been a talking point this series.

I think it'll be Joanna, Elisabeth or maybe James if any of them go into CBB and dependant on who wins.

Posted by: Parallel Reality Nov 16 2017, 05:48 PM

I think Harrison will probably end up winning. I hope Elizabeth stays in as long as possible, she literally makes the show! Can’t see Anisa or Joanna surviving much longer, and Charles and Andrew have most definitely outstayed their welcome.

Posted by: Klaus Nov 16 2017, 08:46 PM

James is clearly still their solely because of his business. He was an absolutely terrible PM this week, he did absolutely nothing of note and then didn’t even bring back Elizabeth when she was the one taking full control of the advert which was the reason they lost the task. It really should have been, objectively speaking, James and Elizabeth going, maybe add Sarjan too.

I don’t know what he’s doing this series, when even the contestants are wondering where the double is, you know one is overdue! He has so many to get rid of!

Absolutely brilliant episode tho, what a classic moment turning up at the village was! I was really confused about why they were filming a car advert at a medieval village when I saw it in the trailers!!!

Posted by: UltraReputation Nov 16 2017, 10:01 PM

I really thought my favourites (Elizabeth & James) were gonna be gone in a double firing this week so I'm glad both of them survived *.*

I think she stands a good chance of winning too - she's not rammed down our throats but hasn't been made to look a complete tit either.

I can’t believe how far into the series we are because there is just so much deadwood still. Struggling to pick 5 actually worthy of the interview stage at this point.

Was shocked to see Lord Sugar bring a 4th person back. Can’t remember him ever doing that before. I thought we were in for a proper deck clearing then coz I’d have fired all 4 of them.

How on earth has Charles lasted this long. He’s so f***ing useless

Posted by: cqmerqn Nov 18 2017, 12:36 PM

Elizabeth definitely didn’t deserve to go. She worked hard when nobody else would. I feel like the others on her team took a sit back and let her do it all as they could just lay the blame on her.

Oh come on shes overbearing and a control freak. She's amazing and she is by far the most amusing and interesting candidate this series but they sat back as she bulldozed them down.

I agree though she didn't deserve to go.

There is sooo much deadwood though this series - next week must be more than 1 going as there is just so many of them left

Yes she worked hard, but her hard work lead to the failure of the task. Granted James’ lack of spine was the greater issue but both were culpable for the failure and should have gone

Hmm, it definitely didn't help the task. What ruined the task IMO was the fact they ended up in a Norman village which didn't match up to their target market, script or plan. Then, their advertising campaign for the tube didn't match up with their video.

Elizabeth was taking over but I think it was because she saw it going down the toilet - She wanted a humorous take, and Sarjan overrided parts of it (which is fine) but it ended up with an advert that was neither here nor there, and made no sense.

I think James was ultimately responsible - But I guess he still has more to offer Lord Sugar, than Sarjan.

Posted by: Klaus Nov 18 2017, 09:23 PM

James should have gone on the basis of the task, he was PM and didn’t do a single thing. Lord Sugar just saw the money when James was saying he earnt ££££ so young.

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner Nov 19 2017, 10:03 PM

Thankfully that means that James won't survive interviews if he even gets there. His lack of substance will trip him up soon enough

I think they could have salvaged the whole Norman Village thing. Having some extra's pretend to be Norman people pushing a cart through the village and then having that car driven through by a modern time person with a strap line like "A car so modern, it makes your old car look like a horse and cart".

Good point about Sarjan. His direction was poor and the editing was woeful, even with Elizabeths interjections. The winning team played a blinder with the drone cam for the panoramic roof.

Even if they'd ended up in the type of village they wanted I don't think their TV ad would have been any good. Elizabeth's idea was just a bit naff and James should have been firmer in objecting. James also shouldn't have let Bushra distract their target market onto Families. No family is going to buy a Fiesta, its miles too small for a family car. (Second car, yes but not a family car. Family car is the job of almost every other car in the Ford range bar the KA and the Mustang)

It's really hard to pin point a single point of failure for this task because there were so many.

I was going to say, interviews will be fun with this lot heehee.gif

At last! They all deserved to go as well so no hard feelings.

Posted by: burbe Nov 22 2017, 10:00 PM

Perfect possible firing there. As soon as Charles said Andrew and Anisa I knew they were all goners. There wasn't a cat in hell's chance any of them would come back. All completely useless!

Posted by: Jonjo Nov 22 2017, 10:10 PM

Time for Harrison to go and we'll have a perfectly fine final 7! The whole thing at the end with him being all like "2 guys left. You'd all be lucky to have one of us" was vile puke.gif

My fave thing about this episode (not inc. The dogs though... wub.gif) was Elizabeth and Joanna's relationship! I genuinely thought they were gonna tear each other apart! laugh.gif

Not sure I can imagine any of these winning though. But I really like Michaela! I also think the Gemma Atkinson lookalike could do very well too/if not win.

Posted by: Chez Wombat Nov 22 2017, 10:23 PM

Hooray triple firing *. All of them deserved, Charles and Andrew long overdue and while I felt a bit sorry for Anisa being ignored, she's been just hanging on for a good few weeks now. If James and Harrison are the only men left, I think it's pretty clear we're getting a female winner this year! I reckon Michaela seems the strongest candidate overall, Jade possibly too although I'm calling her as the one that's revealed to have a rubbish business plan at the interviews despite breezing through the tasks.

I was rlly surprised by how much money some dog owners are willing to pay for their pets, £100 for cleaning a small garden and taking a picture?! laugh.gif

Posted by: M. Nov 22 2017, 10:30 PM

erm did the host of You're Fired just accidentally ruin the cake that was a gift for the fire-ee (person who was fired lol) or was it a throwback to something that happened on the main show? Yea I'm not rly paying much attention this year for some stupid reason.. </3

Posted by: burbe Nov 22 2017, 10:47 PM

I think Bushra, Harrison and Joanna will be the three to be fired before the interviews.

Jade and Michaela are the strongest atm and so long as they don't have awful business plans or screw up the interviews are likely to be the final two. If Elizabeth carries on as she is and has a decent business plan, I can see her being a surprise contender too!

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner Nov 22 2017, 11:23 PM

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas!!!!!!!!! That was long overdue and very well deserved

James looks like the winner on paper for me. Lord Sugar loves people of his ilk.

Posted by: Houdini Nov 23 2017, 12:01 AM

Once the last 3 were down to Charles, Anisa & Andrew I had a feeling that it might be a triple firing this week. Also there were 3 suitcases in the reception area which is something that I've not really noticed before, I will have a look next week to see if this happens again or if it was specifically because 3 people were leaving this week.

Sarah-Lynn is still sleepwalking her way towards the final despite not doing anything special at all in the past 8 weeks. Definitely remaining the least memorable contestant this year out of who is left in the process.

Decent firing but I did feel a bit bad for Anisah, I feel had she been given more opportunity to shine she could've potentially done better.

Decent set who are left, my faves are Michaela, Elizabeth and Joanna. Really not a fan of Bushra, she makes so many unnecessary cutting remarks.

Posted by: Juranamo Nov 23 2017, 05:17 PM

I genuinely keep forgetting Jade is even there, I’d be so disappointed if she wins, I can’t think of anything she has done to contribute to a single task. Maybe I’m watching a different show to everyone else? Literally everyone else has been getting either good and bad (or just bad, in a few cases) airtime... but nothing for her.

I hope Harrison is next out sick2.gif

Posted by: Martyn Nov 26 2017, 05:37 PM

I keep forgetting who Jade is. There has been a few weeks where she hasn't really been shown at all until the board room and I forget who she is when she shows up.

Someone I work with really like her. Mainly for her looks. Speaking of looks, can we have Harrison and James stick around? Both nice on the eye.

From a show perspective I think the interviews will be Michaela, James, Elizabeth, Sarah and Harrison or Jade.

Bushra and Joanna are on borrowed time I think.

With two more tasks before the interviews? We must have one more multiple firing unless we have 6 interviewed?

Just looked at the BBC website, there task after this week is a Fashion Show, we then have The Final 5, so either this week or next will be a double firing. However the airing seems to go a bit erratic. Maybe there isn't interviews this year? When even is the final?

After tonight, I think it could be her vs. Michaela or James in all honesty. Is she the only one left that's won tasks whilst being project manager more than once?

She bores me a bit and is a bit monotonous (her talking on the catwalk nearly put me to sleep), but this isn't a personality show and she does seem to work hard/overcome certain situations (like when she had problems with Jade and Elizabeth etc..)

Looking forward to next week though!

Posted by: Jack Dec 6 2017, 11:48 PM

Aww I like Joanna, I think she's got plenty of personality! Moreso than James who is a pretty face and nothing more.

If I had it my way it would be Joanna vs. Elizabeth, I think they've been the most consistent for me. I liked Michaela up until this episode, she came across a bit cold.

I think you might be right, James wins almost all of the time when he is the project manager and if his money making claims are true then his business plan would be likely to be the most lucrative.

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds Dec 7 2017, 07:19 AM

I think Joanna and James for the final, it depends on whether Michaelas already existing business works for or against her. Although we don't really know much about their business plans so someone who's been decent so far could come up with something absolutely ludicrous wink.gif

Posted by: Mistletheo Dec 7 2017, 07:51 AM

Elisabeth through to interviews *.* I'm a bit disappointed that Lord Sugar picked Sarah over Jade but the latter was more at fault in this week's task.

I still think it's James's for the taking but Joanna has had a similar edit to Alannah last year and has seemed like the underdog for a few weeks now.

Posted by: Jack Dec 7 2017, 10:00 AM

I don't see why James should be front runner, he has done nothing of worth the whole series?!

I am SO FREAKING EXCITED about Elizabeth in the interviews. She's outstanding. It's going to be a f***ing car crash and I'm already living for it.

I still have 2 of my 3 picks in the competition so I'm in a good place to win a free lunch off my co-worker!

Posted by: Parallel Reality Dec 7 2017, 08:41 PM

James is a great worker, but not a great leader. He was an abysmal PM the first time, and was more or less saved by Elizabeth and Joanna’s outstanding performance the second time. That said, I really like James - he’s not malicious or bitchy and is generally very positive, all (I think) is working in his favour.

Joanna is the underdog for sure. She could do very well actually. She is a good leader but not a great worker, though some of that is also down to the people she’s had to work with.

Elizabeth is hilarious, I’m so glad she has stayed so long. Usually people like her get the boot on like week 3. I don’t think she’ll win but she has excellent enthusiasm and drive.

Sarah is very levelheaded and measured. It’s not a bad thing but I don’t feel a lot of energy (or anything, at all - it’s almost like she’s on auto-pilot/dead) laugh.gif She comes across as capable, but she just has ZERO charisma.

Michaela is just the definition of ‘meh’ for me. I feel like she’s been quite lucky more than anything. I just find her quite cold and sometimes smug.

Mark was ClimbOnline, improving where you place in search results.

Ricky Martin was HyperRecruitment Company for IT/tech recruitment and the Colony Gin woman from last year is working for him!

James is definitely a front-runner for the win because he most certainly should have been fired when he was Om the first time. He did nothing yet survived because of his past employment history and, presumably, a good business.

After this week’s task, I’m definitely rooting for Joanna now. She did really well in the industry she wants to build her business in which shows high potential. Michaela I thought had potential but she’s not been as good as I thought she was. Sarah is just too bland, dodging the blame and playing a good game at deflecting onto others. Elizabeth is Elizabeth and I’m SO excited to see her in the interviews!

Not happy that the Linda (?) woman is back for the interviews! She doesn’t listen to the candidates as she is tries to be nasty for the sake of being nasty, so she can boost ang fame. It doesn’t come naturally like it once did with Claude.

That's always the problem with the current format rlly, he knows the business plans so probably takes that into account when deciding who to fire and I think he's just got lucky, and it also means candidates can shine all the way through but if their business plan is rubbish, they've not got a hope and the last ten weeks are rendered moot. I've definitely noticed with James that he's been let off far too much, I do wonder if that would've been the case under the old format.

I think Joanna is a likely winner (well, unless she has a rubbish business plan), she seems to be getting the same edit as the likes of Bianca and Alanna in the sense of starting off bad and coming into the limelight more, whom a lot thought were surprise finalists/winners too. I find her a bit too argumentative and bitchy in general, but she did do a great job as PM.

Whichever one of Elizabeth and Joanne doesn't win for CBB tbh

I knew one winner in the past was recruitment, thanks for putting us on the right track!!

I think I'd like to see Linda replaced with Margaret. This show is missing a dash of mountford I think.

Posted by: Houdini Dec 9 2017, 01:13 AM

The final is on Sunday December 17th (at 9 PM I think?)

I think James & Joanna will be the final two. Joanna needs the win more than James I think as she is more at the stage of trying to establish herself but when it comes to business it's all about greed and money which is why I'm starting to think that James will win.

Did anyone else see the final five special programme (that was shoved on at 11:25pm on a Friday!!! Smart move). It really made me love Joanna and Elizabeth even more, I would love it if they could somehow become the final two.

I think if there is to be a shock, from what I've seen I could see Michaela maybe getting Top 2 as well as Joanna/James. I'd say it's out of those three.

Posted by: kye Dec 13 2017, 10:02 PM

absolute travesty! he’s gonna regret that. Michaela was clearly the one that would make the most money and his excuse was a cop out! Sarah won’t make him any money with those sweet cups?!

Please no, I'd rather Sarah Lynn! He's such a f***ing BORE.

Worst final two I could have envisaged. A mum who got bored and sells repackaged sweets and someone who hasn't got a creative bone in his body. Great.

Posted by: Klampus Dec 13 2017, 10:04 PM

That’s possibly the weakest Top 2 I’ve seen!

I still stand by that James should have gone the first week he was PM because it was one of the worst performances as a PM I’ve seen! Sarah’s been trying her business since 2009 and her website doesn’t even work!! How can you invest in that? She’s hid away on the tasks too...

Joanna and Michaela should have been the final 2. They’re risks but Joanna has shown herself in the process and Michaela seemed strong with the business.

Posted by: TS0301 Dec 13 2017, 10:07 PM

He literally chose the worst two laugh.gif seems as if hes simply went with the two who are easiest to manage and boss around

Posted by: dandy* Dec 13 2017, 10:08 PM

Not surprised James has made it and I fully expect him to win, he was so bad on some of the tasks that there simply had to be a reason that he wasn't fired.

Sarah has ended up being rather more lifeless than I expected, I had her down to do well at the beginning (and she has to be fair) but I can't root for her in the slightest bit - plus it bugged me that she used the sentence "Oh that's really frustrating to hear" about five times in that episode!

Posted by: Winter Wombatland Dec 13 2017, 10:10 PM

Yeah, that's the worst final 2 in a long, long time. Michaela CLEARLY should've been through instead of Sarah as she's proven successes even with all her businesses, and Sarah's business was openly lambasted unsure.gif James having some boring IT recruitment business that's an easy invest comes as no surprise and I'm pretty certain he's winning now despite really not being worthy at all throughout the process :/

Joanna's business needed a bit of developing, but I thought it was one of the strongest and I'm really surprised she's out. She actually came across the best she's been in the last few weeks and I'm quite sad that it's now she goes.

James was the obvious winner right from the start

Posted by: burbe Dec 13 2017, 10:52 PM

I don't get why he fired Michaela at all. If the worst thing you can say about someone's business is they might get distracted with another of their businesses then that's just bullshit.

Joanna's business plan was poor, she didn't deserve to get through. Elizabeth's and Sarah's both had issues with upscaling and should have also gone out (as much as it pains me with Elizabeth).

I thought the top 2 would have been clearly Michaela and James, with Michaela as winner from tonight's show. Surely James will win now, but what was Lord Sugar thinking firing Michaela over Sarah :/

Has anyone noticed how Sarah Lynn is passing through the process with ease? she is the person who stands out the least but she seems to win every week so Alan Sugar never bats an eyelid when it comes to her.

And now she's in the final rolleyes.gif

For a long time I didn't even know what her name was. That says it all!

Posted by: Klampus Dec 14 2017, 08:14 AM

I know you can say the same about yet anothe recruitment company but Sarah’s sweets is something I’ve seen for years in department stores etc and I fail to see, after having a quick browse of her website, anything she is doing differently.

Posted by: gooddelta Dec 14 2017, 08:20 AM

Amazed Michaela isn’t in the final. Her business will clearly soar, and who cares if she’s a director/shareholder of numerous other businesses? Many people are in a similar position without having direct daily involvement in many of them and only focusing mainly on one. She’s clearly determined to succeed and will put everything into this particular business.

Think Sugar just lost a lot of money there, James will obviously win regardless now as Sarah’s business is too small fry with very little potential to go much bigger. Really surprised to see her in the final.

Posted by: Martyn Dec 14 2017, 08:34 AM

James will clearly win as there is so much money in it.

Sarah is essentially doing fancy pick and mix. I fail to see how she is going to make money or her USP.

Was gutted for Joanna. I think she had a great idea. However I don’t think Alan wants to invest time and money in someone.

Posted by: Jack Dec 14 2017, 10:23 AM

I think because he took a risk on Alana last year (and I'm not too sure if it's paid off either), he's going very safe this year with James' boring recruitment business that anyone can do really.

A shame as I've really enjoyed this series up until one of the most disappointing finals in years!

Posted by: Jonjo Dec 14 2017, 11:31 AM

James might be a bore, but the way Sarah threw so many people under the bus on challenges was horrendous and inescuseable! Ugh. She is absolutely vile and her plan is nothing special either! :/

Posted by: Jack Dec 14 2017, 12:10 PM

When did she throw people under the bus? Am I missing something?

Posted by: ElectroBoy Dec 14 2017, 01:29 PM

I find it odd people are branding James a 'bore' when Sarah is the exact opposite of life and soul. In fact she is one of the most boring candidates the show has seen.

Her end business is crap and she has sat on her arse for 7 years and not actually developed her business herself. She doesn't need the 250k, she just needs to get up off her arse and develop her website - which she could of herself.

Posted by: Houdini Dec 14 2017, 01:32 PM

I'm gonna miss this programme when it finishes, it has brightened up Wednesday nights for sure! I think of all the series of The Apprentice I've seen this might be my favourite and it was the 2011 series that I caught half-way that was my first.

Oh don't get me wrong, I find them both mind numbingly dull.

I just think James has got more unnecessary praise than Sarah has. Both are unworthy winners.

Posted by: PaulM1983 Dec 14 2017, 02:41 PM

He literally chose the worst possible combination for the final. Good god.

Surely anyone with half a brain could see that Michaela was the only savvy business woman there. Yes, she's rough around the edges, but she can clearly make money. Her business idea also was the only one that seemed to have genuine possibilities. Everyone else either had no experience, or absolutely no way of scaling up.

As for Sarah and those sweets, I've been seeing tubs like that online and in shops for years. I cannot believe THAT got her to the final.

I've got no intentions of watching the final, as I couldn't care less who wins out of those two. Neither deserved it and neither will succeed.

This is true actually. I’m unsure too whether Alana’s business is working out the way he’d hoped, I don’t think they’re stocking it in shops like they’d said in the show?

There definitely seems to be more of a wariness this year and that Alan is going to be less hands-on. I think in other years he would have at least took a chance on Joanna/Michaela in the final but obviously he wants to go safe. After all, it is his money I guess!

Posted by: Sqntq Clqus Dec 17 2017, 10:15 PM

Damnnnn

Posted by: Rooney Dec 17 2017, 10:15 PM

So I am going to go out on a whim here and say he hired James originally and then changed his mind and went back for both. The editing at the end looks really different for when both are being interviewed (as well as Lord Sugar (or that could just be me reading too much in to it)).

Also - both great business ideas. Personalised confectionery is what all the big confectionery companies are going in to & a recruitment consultancy is easy money.

Posted by: Winter Wombatland Dec 17 2017, 10:19 PM

Wow ohmy.gif I mean it makes sense, they both weren’t too far apart and have potential (I still think Michaela would have destroyed both of them though 😂

Posted by: Slade Dec 17 2017, 10:22 PM

I have been dipping in and out this year (really need to watch more religiously again next year!) but made sure to catch the final somewhat live and I'm rather flabbergasted at that ohmy.gif I wasn't quite sure who he would choose tonight as James' business is easy money but Sarah appeared to have the analytics nailed, better branding and does seem to have tapped into something that has potential as a frontrunner in its particular field, like Interflora is to flowers. So... fair enough. Wow!

Posted by: burbe Dec 17 2017, 11:11 PM

Very shocked! I do think what happened was Lord Sugar was settled on James before the final but Sarah somehow pulled a blinder and ticked every box there so he would've looked a fool to turn her down for James when he wasn't as strong in the final.

After being quite critical of Sarah getting through I was quite impressed with her. I'm still gutted for Michaela not getting through. She was truly robbed </3

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner Dec 17 2017, 11:20 PM

Not choosing Michaela was just baffling. What a f***ing dumb decision. The only one there who was able to back up their rhetoric with actual facts. She makes more money than all the other candidates combined ffs. Actually robbed.

Posted by: Lenny Dec 17 2017, 11:33 PM

Right decision to hire both in that final - it was so neck-and-neck. I said in my tweets that whoever he chooses is a winner. And technically was right!

Michaela will be successful no matter what. She already is. I can see both her and Elizabeth popping up on TV quite a bit as well, both such characters.

Posted by: Houdini Dec 18 2017, 01:22 AM

I was surprised just like some others here that Lord Sugar hired both James & Sarah-Lynn but they both gave good pitches so that must have given Lord Sugar a dilemma that he was unable to settle outright. I hope Elizabeth will be on Celebrity Big Brother in a few weeks time.

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner Dec 18 2017, 08:26 PM

Only just watching the final now.

Michaela and Liz have been really good so far as sub-team leads. Should have been the final 2!! Would have been much better and a much more entertaining finale.

I wonder if Lord Sugar knows that this pair of charity cases have to be registered charities in order to write off his £0.5m charitable donation to this pair of dead end ideas.

Posted by: Sqntq Clqus Dec 18 2017, 09:05 PM

A really good final.

James and Sarah are very strong candidates. Their business plans may not be the best but I think they are very determined and that’s probably enough for Lord Sugar.

Posted by: Lenny Dec 18 2017, 11:44 PM

I'm not sure what about their business plans are "not the best", Sarah's taps into a niche in the market, while James is capitalising on a growing market with his expertise. Both are incredibly good investments.

On an unrelated note, those 'awards' on "You're Hired" afterwards were ridiculous laugh.gif

I agree, Lord Sugar sees money. Sarah was an average candidate at best, but trust me as somebody who works in the business, what Sarah is doing is what all companies are trying to do right now. If you get it right it is high margins. Both the plans he has invested in will work out imo. Not sure he has invested in a poor business yet on the show?
