New single out Friday 10th
HYPE
Selena always delivers *.*
It's not a "proper" single it's just for 13 Reasons Why But still hype, queen
Too bad it's not from a brand new Selena album instead of just 13RW!
A bit eh that's it's been so long since "Wolves" and she follows it up with a soundtrack single. At least it's an original song this time, I do like her cover of "Only You", but when she releases so infrequently I want something completely new.
I was hoping we'd get another cover but I can't think of anything but that Louis Tomlinson song that it could be if it is
A second basic bop in a row 😕 Such a shame that this is what she's resorting to as 'Revival' was her best album by a mile and this is such a step back in quality.
Another solid song by Selena, but what about SG3? We need a new album for me to get REALLY excited
That is pure mediocrity.
On a first listen it isn't doing much for me
Meh
Oh this is surprisingly good in comparison to what she's been putting out in the last few years. Sounds like it has potential to be huge.
This is lovely until the drop which I'm not sure about at all :/ It just isn't really needed and feels like it's just there to be as Spotify hit ready as possible?
I was expecting this to not be much but it’s surprisingly catchy?
Love this better than Wolves for me actually! It's got a great uplifting vibe to it and I really like the drop too.
She needs to stop with all these basic af songs
Where's the Selena who made interesting songs like Good For You, Hands To Myself, Fetish and Bad Liar gone?! This is what the general public gets for letting Bad Liar & Fetish flop but Wolves smash...
I'm in love with this so much atm
This 'era' so far:
1) Bad Liar
2) It Ain't Me
3) Back To You
4) Wolves
5) Fetish
The top 3 are so close and are possibly my 3 fave Selena songs (C&GI, THWWIW & all the Revival singles bar SOL are up there as well). Big gap between those 3 and Wolves/Fetish, both which I like but never really go back to either.
I'm actually bopping to this so much now! 😳 It's very much a regression for her musically but I can't help it
It debuted at #39 this week and will likely climb higher next week as Spotify is picking up (#40 in today's update). All of her singles since "It Ain't Me" have debuted within the top 40! Amazing for her in this sales climate. None of the 'Revival' singles managed that and her last to do before that was "I Want You to Know" which was her last held-back release, I believe.
She is a big enough name to debut top 40 though! We have to remember that ACR is making it easier for tracks to debut top 40.
01 Fetish

02 Bad Liar
I like the other three to varying degrees but they’re not really what I want from her, whereas these two 👌🏼
This is a beautiful song and it deserves success
It honestly sounds like they took an Avicii song, changed the lyrics and the drop and thought "this will do." Sounds pretty similar to Hailee Steinfeld's "Let Me Go" as well.
That's not to say I won't listen to it though. Let's just say Selena's done far worse than this.
Love the video and I'm really loving the song right now too Reminded me of how good an actor she can be even though this is minimal
I like the idea of the video more than the execution, would actually disagree about her acting too. I mostly just wish the music was at least trying to be as different or as interesting as her recent videos.
The video is alright but I'm still really disappointed in the song :/ Like it's fine, but Revival was such an incredible era, like Good For You felt like the emergence of a true star and Hands To Myself was flawlessly crafted pop that felt like only she could have pulled it off, it felt like Janet Jackson's Control or something similar where she was showing exactly what she was capable of. Bad Liar was in a similar vein, she was doing her own thing and using her voice in such a great way to mask that isn't the strongest. Now just because It Ain't Me was huge (and that was a fab song) she's going down this generic Spotify route, both this and Wolves could have been sang by anyone over any Avicii-lite beat since 2014 or so and it feels like such a step back. Like I said it's fine and enough of a bop but eh.
Hopefully as this is a soundtrack song and Wolves was just with Marshmello it isn't indictative of the next album, whenever we actually get that
Is is an electric guitar used for the drop?
It's so disappointing that this song is doing well. Wolves followed by this being big hits will spur the label on to make her release more basic af songs and sideline the quirky / interesting vibe she had going on with Bad Liar and Fetish (and going back to the last album with Good for You and Hands to Myself)
Absolutely loving this Never really cared for her, although since It Ain’t Me blew up I’ve really liked her!
Probably my 2nd favourite song by her, behind It Ain’t Me. Nothing will beat IAM though, that’s 13/10
I think Back to you is designed for the people that liked It Ain't Me
I also prefer the quircky stuff like Fetish and Bad Liar
and my ultimate fav of hers is Same old love, which totally flopped in the UK
I loved Bad Liar but never liked Fetish
'Good For You' will always be her best
I also really love 'The Heart Wants What It Wants' which is really underrated imo.
This is growing!
This ie an absolute bop
Bad Liar still better
STILL not sick of this! It also sounds brilliant in the warm weather
Echoing what Jack said - "Good For You" will always be her best!
This is a beautiful relatable and yes I agree Jase, I heard it in the car earlier today and it sounded totally fab! She has a beautiful voice and I like the production.
I never really got the hype for Good For You tbh, I like it (way more than Fetish which is similar) but I wouldn’t consider it her best
Same Old Love is one I go back to the most, and It Ain’t Me has taken over from I Want You To Know as my favourite dance-Selena
funny how everybody seems to have different selena songs as favourite
I don't think anyone has mentioned "Hands To Myself" which is my favourite...
Quite like this new one, it's nice enough, in the same way Hailee Steinfeld's "Let Me Go" was.
Love You Like A Love Song is my fave if we include the scene songs
Riton & Kah-Lo remix released today:
A bop *.*
This was originally going to be released by The Chainsmokers ft. Emily Warren, and it's been leaked online.
I'm very happy they went with Side Effects instead, that's an absolute tune.
(it says Selena Gomez, but it is Emily Warren)
