Remember every song is "tested" regularly with a panel of listeners. A song could be a really big hit but if say, 25% of their listeners say they don't know or don't like a song, it's not getting played. That's why you end up with very safe big hits that everyone knows and likes. Difficult to defend waiting 9 months to playlist Ava Max though. |

lets face it Heart plays established hits no matter what their marketing try to push. As Acerben says they want listeners to know what they hear so they don't turn over so the risks they take with tracks are minimal, hence Ava being added nearly a year after release.
