I was aware of an artist by the name of Bright Light Bright Light, but I had never heard any of his music. 'Causing a Commotion' has never been one of my favourite Madonna songs but, I have to say, I do quite like this cover! I don't know exactly what genre you'd call it - nu-disco, perhaps? - but it works so well; I particularly love the "I hope you find what you're looking for" verses.
It's part of his Cinematography 2: Back in the Habit EP which was released last month. He said this of the song: "This is one of my top 3 Madonna songs and I just don’t know why it’s not more frequently talked about. Super cool 80s film anthem with so much sass and fun, the whole soundtrack to 'Who’s That Girl?' is so brilliant."
