Bit of a quiet week for new releases in the singles chart, but we should see a brand new #1 from Adele with her brand new single 'Hello' taken from her forthcoming third studio album '25'. The single could sell very well and into 6 figures by Monday at least just what the singles chart needs a bit of a boost to spice things up. In other news Justin Bieber releases another single entitled 'Sorry', One Direction keep on chucking out new tracks from their soon to be release album 'Made in The A.M.' in the final quarter of the year, with 'Home'. And can Nick Jonas finally reach the top 40 with 'Levels'

The race for the #1 album is between 5 Seconds of Summer 'Sounds Good Feels Good' and Joanna Newson 'Divers' or can Jamie Lawson muster another week at the top. Other new album releases this week come from Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott (formerly part of 'The Beautiful South') with their new album titled 'Wisdom, Laughter & Lines', Carrie Underwood 'Storyteller', Thomas Newman 'Spectre', Bryan Adams 'Get Up', Andrea Bocelli 'Cinema', Dave Gahan (formerly of Depeche Mode) with his new project as Dave Gahan & Soulsavers 'Angels & Ghosts' and Half Moon Run 'Sun Leads Me On'.

To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action please refer to the iTunes thread topic.

Judging my iTunes and Spotify we could have decent sales for #2 as well, 'Sorry' is doing very well!

I'm more interested in how long she will occupy the top spot to be honest, as I can't see anything else between now and the X Factor winners track at least 8 to 9 weeks unless something big drops next month, she could clear 100k by Monday surely it could go on to sell in excess of 200k with streams added, once its on spotify. CIN single seems to have gone awol and in recent years the CIN track has hardly done anything.

That's the thing, the last few months have shown us that anything can pop up out of the blue...

Adele day one - 67932 copies!

(That'll be without streaming, too, where she'll also be doing huge numbers)

Haha just about to post that saw it on Mint Royales page - impressive although I'd say that'll be the height of her daily sales but she's just entered at no1 on Spotify so she should break 200k now I'd say!

Even if you multiply that figure by a factor of 4 (which is very unscientific I know) but that's well over 200k!

That's probably without streaming numbers too - as they're always a day behind.

So at least 70K+ for day 1. 200K on lock.

Her Spotify numbers are huge. She's looking to add a lot onto that figure.

I think Sam Smith will probably peak at #2 by the end of the week, not really that far behind

Top 5 could end up

1 Adele
2 Sam Smith
3 KDA
4 Drake
5 Justin (or lower)

Just saw that number... I'm shocked... 250K+ for this week.

Spotify numbers are of course record breaking, but don't forget even the biggest streaming weeks have secured around 38K at best.

I would guess at around 245K for the total by COP Thursday (with around a 45-50K contribution from streams). But it could be more!

Do you really think Justin will be that low? His Spotify numbers are also huge right now and he's selling just under double of KDA on iTunes. #2 looks good to me at this stage. Sam Smith will be screwed over by streaming (particularly when Adele, Justin, Drake and The Weeknd are considerably further ahead).
