Well done to her, I didn't realise it was so big over there!

Still gutted this missed out on a UK number one damn that Friday release when chart day was Sunday. Still 72K sold In week one was impressive as streaming didn’t count then.
Her last ever top 3 in the U.K. hope she hits the same heights again at some point.

I remember really not being a fan of this when it was originally released, it's still not my favourite song of Gaga's but I love the message and it stands up strongly in her discography. 8 years though?! I'm old

Omg I can’t believe I said that comment!!
So glad she got another #1 it was a long eight years going without a top 3 smash!

I was also the same. I’ve grown to really love it now and it’s overtaken many songs what I liked more previously. The actual first time I heard it though I thought what is this I bunked off school to hear the world premiere and I just didn’t get it. It was probably my age at the time as I was 15 turning 16 so the real message went over my head.
I’d also say it’s probably the track of hers I hear most after Bad Romance it still has impact.

I feel like this song at the time did damage to her credibility/public perception.
I like the song though, but I feel like that's true.
