Thanks for this - ACR makes me mercifully forget the existence of 'Dance Monkey' and 'Someone You Loved' but see they're still standing strong in the YTD top 40

Here’s my first go at the Top 40 for the first 6 months of the year - I’m sure the OCC will provide the accurate version later and Gezza some more accurate sales.
It’s incredibly tight between #3 and #8 and The Business will crash to the bottom of that group very shortly. Good 4 u will be #2 by next month. June position (May position) Sales (k) 1 (1) Drivers license 1,035 2 (2) Wellerman 713 3 (3) The business 642 4 (11) Save your tears 640 5 (7) Levitating 636 6 (9) Montero 635 7 (5) Friday 630 8 (13) Body 629 9 (4) Without you 614 10 (-) Good 4 u 606 11 (6) Blinding lights 588 12 (10) Head & heart 548 13 (16) Bed 539 14 (8) Don’t play 518 15 (12) Latest trends 504 16 (18) Peaches 489 17 (22) Little bit of love 476 18 (15) Goosebumps 467 19 (21) Your love 452 20 (14) Paradise 447 21 (-) Kiss me more 443 22 (17) Get out my head 439 23 (19) Calling my phone 412 24 (32) Let’s go home together 406 25 (20) Sweet melody 405 26 (30) Astronaut in the ocean 387 27 (28) Heat waves 380 28 (23) Streets 375 29 (25) Mood 374 30 (24) Anyone 360 31 (29) My head & my heart 358 32 (-) Deja vu 356 33 (33) Someone you loved 346 34 (34) Dance monkey 338 35 (26) 34+35 337 36 (27) Afterglow 330 37 (40) Watermelon sugar 325 38 (31) Whoopty 320 39 (37) Up 303 40 (-) Good without 301 |

Good 4 U should be number 2 in the next few weeks thankfully! (Not a massive fan of Wellerman)

Here’s my estimated YTD Top 40 to the end of July.
I'm now pretty confident that Good 4 U will overtake Drivers License to be the year end #1. Bad Habits could end up with similar numbers to Good 4 U but is unlikely to catch the latter given its head start. July position (June position) Sales (k) 1 (1) Drivers license 1,099 2 (10) Good 4 u 844 3 (5) Save your tears 770 4 (2) Wellerman 755 5 (4) Montero 750 6 (6) Levitating 733 7 (8) Body 719 8 (7) Friday 699 9 (3) The business 696 10 (11) Blinding lights 657 11 (9) Without you 656 12 (13) Bed 628 13 (12) Head & heart 616 14 (21) Kiss me more 566 15 (16) Peaches 563 16 (17) Little bit of love 559 17 (14) Don't play 555 18 (15) Latest trends 534 19 (19) Your love 504 20 (18) Goosebumps 497 21 (24) Let's go home together 484 22 (-) Bad habits 483 23 (20) Paradise 476 24 (22) Get out my head 469 25 (26) Heat waves 443 26 (23) Calling my phone 435 27 (25) Sweet melody 433 28 (32) Deja vu 432 29 (27) Astronaut in the ocean 430 30 (28) Mood 407 31 (29) Streets 397 32 (31) My head & my heart 389 33 (33) Someone you loved 388 34 (30) Anyone 385 35 (-) Good without 381 36 (35) Dance monkey 380 37 (37) Watermelon sugar 376 38 (34) 34 + 35 369 39 (40) Rapstar 360 40 (36) Afterglow 357 Heartbreak anthem 330 This post has been edited by JulianT: Aug 2 2021, 09:44 PM |

Good 4 U is far superior to Drivers License! Could Save Your Tears overtake the latter as well?

I thought Drivers License was a dead cert for year end #1 so I'm really surprised to see anything challenging it, albeit another song by Olivia. Also wow at The Weeknd, I would never have expected Save Your Tears to be this big but it's so deserved.

I thought I'd share this on the off chance anyone is interested. It's a YTD chart for the Spotify chart, unfortunately it is not a perfect metric as I can only record streaming numbers when songs are in the weekly top 200, so songs that are big at the start of the year but then drop out (eg. positions, Sweet Melody) are at a disadvantage compared to the OCC chart. Whereas songs that hang around forever (eg. Mr. Brightside, Watermelon Sugar) are at an advantage.
Anyway here's the chart to July: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZUu...t#gid=765794611 Here are the main key points from this month: good 4 u now #2 and will probably catch drivers license by the end of the year. Bad Habits straight in at #26. I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE #41 & Beggin' #55. Heartbreak Anthem #50. Oliver Twist #98. Olivia also has 3 album tracks in the top 100 (traitor #45, brutal #96 & happier #99) jealousy, jealousy is #110. Some of these could make the YE top 100 despite not charting officially. Finally 3 Lions is #145 but won't make the final list. T100 YE Cut Off: Below positions, T200 YE Cut Off: Below Don't Look Back in Anger Any questions, feel free to ask |

YTD Top 50 Singles from MTV last week - originally aired earlier in August, although these sales appear to be up to mid-July as there's still no Bad Habits, so even Julian's estimated YTD from 2 August above is more up to date, but as an official list, it's slightly more recent than the mid year list (whose top 40 positions are in brackets here):
1 (1) drivers license 2 (2) Wellerman 3 (10) good 4 u 4 (5) Save Your Tears 5 (4) Montero (Call Me By Your Name) 6 (6) Levitating 7 (8) Body 8 (3) The Business 9 (7) Friday 10 (9) Without You 11 (11) Blinding Lights 12 (13) Bed 13 (12) Head & Heart 14 (14) Don't Play 15 (16) Peaches 16 (15) Latest Trends 17 (17) Little Bit Of Love 18 (21) Kiss Me More 19 (18) Goosebumps 20 (19) Your Love (9pm) 21 (20) Paradise 22 (22) Get Out My Head 23 (24) Let's Go Home Together 24 (23) Calling My Phone 25 (25) Sweet Melody 26 (26) Heat Waves 27 (27) Astronaut In The Ocean 28 (32) deja vu 29 (28) Mood 30 (29) Streets 31 (30) Anyone 32 (31) My Head & My Heart 33 (33) Someone You Loved 34 (35) Dance Monkey 35 (34) 34 + 35 36 (37) Watermelon Sugar 37 (36) Afterglow 38 (-) Good Without 39 (40) Rapstar 40 (38) Whoopty 41 (39) you broke me first 42 (-) Believe Me 43 (-) Prisoner 44 (-) ? Depressing how close ‘Bad Habits’ is to both of Olivia’s tracks although if he does get EOY no.1 with a track which only first charted in second half of year that will be impressive feat.

I think he will get the EOY number 1 and I expect him to move to the top by the end of November at the latest. Olivia is heading for two double Platinum tracks but it will be interesting to see whether 'Good 4 U' or 'Bad Habits' gets there first. 'Drivers License' should pass 1.2m chart sales around late October or early November at the latest.
