Slightly too early yet for me to call, will wait another couple of weeks.. I want to see pre-season.

Would have Man City as favourites if they sign some of the players they're linked to. Can't see Spurs winning the league, purely for the fact they were so strong last year because of their home form. It will be extremely difficult to replicate that on a neutral ground, especially Wembley.

I seem to recall Tottenham played the home European games at Wembley and they didn't play so well then if I recall correctly? unsure.gif

Too early for me to call either though, I will wait for another week. One thing I will say, I always support an underdog in the Premier League... tongue.gif

There's exactly 2 weeks to go until the start of the new season. Any predictions?

I originally put West Ham in 11th place in my table but they have made good signings this summer so I have them at 8th place now instead. I will still go with Tottenham winning the league but that prediction is not as confident as it was a few weeks ago. Out of the newly promoted sides I can only see Newcastle surviving relegation.

Goes without saying, but honestly I really do believe bar probably Arsenal, any of the Top 6 could win the league. There are very fine margins here, all have their strengths but all have their weaknesses. Chelsea just pip it for me right now, going on the fact they have added some good players. Man City have easily signed the best names on paper, but they are going to practically integrate 3-4 players in to their defence... I can't remember the last time that worked out well. Man Utd have not signed pace, Liverpool need a dynamic midfielder and a centre back, Spurs will be more inconsistent at home. Probably say it every season.. but it will be interesting.

After that it is much of a muchness really, bar Everton I think any of the next 13 clubs could go down. As long as Benitez stays at Newcastle I think they will be fine. Don't rate De Boer, so think Palace will struggle but will ultimately be OK. I also can't forsee Burnely making Turf Moof such a fortress again - they desperately need to pick up more points on the road this time around. Very interested to see what Huddersfield and Brighton do, think they will both find it difficult but I expect one will stay up.

Golden Boot: Gabriel Jesus
Player of Season: Kevin de Bruyne
First Managerial Sacking: Mark Hughes

Championship:

Promoted: Midddlesbrough, Norwich, Fulham
Relegated: Millwall, Barnsley Bolton

League One:

Promoted: Oxford, Bradford, Scunthorpe
Relegated: Rotherham, Oldham, Blackpool, Walsall

League Two:

Promoted: Luton, Swindon, Port Vale, Accrington
Relegated: Yeovil, Cheltenham

A mixture of gut feeling, signings, bias, it being the part of the Mourinho cycle where he wins it before loses the dressing room and the fact City are lacking proven quality centre backs that won't get injured are what concluded me to hand the title to Manchester United. Back in the glory days me predicting a win was usually a curse so I might look ridiculous come May but that is part of why I love doing this! The signings we have made are enough to turn the draws we had from last season into wins and changes like having Matic meaning we might play Pogba in a more suitable position might help to compensate for the lack of Zlatan. City will score a lot of goals but Guardiola will again keep relying on scoring more goals than he concedes. The Wembley factor will hinder Spurs this time and even without Coutinho I expect Liverpool to hold off them Arsenal and Everton who will certainly be top four contenders this season. People are pessimistic about Watford and Swansea but I think with their respective managers they will be just fine. Burnley will struggle this season as they lack the quality that kept them afloat last season. I rate David Wagner and Huddersfield will be competitive but I they may be victims of their own success and Newcastle due to Mike Ashley being Mike Ashley even with the Rafa factor (I expect him and Conte to resign before the end of the season) will be the final team to fall through the trap door.

And those are my predictions literally one minute before the new season kicks off! cheer.gif

I only got Swansea right in my end of season league table prediction, missed out on the correct top goal scorer as well. I don't think there is a single person who would have predicted that the champions would have 100 points this season!

I know someone who put some good money on Salah to score 20+ league goals and Man City 100 or more league goals at the start of the season.. unreal!

I am content with my predictions, got the De Boer one right, thought Swansea would go down. I over egged a few teams (Chelsea mainly) but it's so difficult.

The worst I've ever done at one of these! Chelsea champions with Hazard player of the season rotf.gif

West Brom & Stoke comfortably midtable & Burnley relegated laugh.gif

Only ones I came with were Kane for golden boot & Shakespeare for managerial sacking.
