It's the 25th National Television Awards this year, and it will be hosted for the first time by David Walliams at the O2 on 28th January.
The voting hasn't opened yet, but to mark the 25th show - there is a special documentary 'The National Television Awards Celebrate 25 Years' on ITV tomorrow night at 9pm. |

As if Mrs Brown's Boys won best comedy, what a crock of shit.
Hate that show so much. |

Comedy isn’t really a big thing of mine at all but Mrs Browns Boys was definitely the worst in that category.
So dated! |

Seriously, this exemplifies why the public can't be trusted when it comes to voting on anything.

I was shocked at Corries Paul getting newcomer as well!
But I can’t say that wasn’t well deserved as his recent storylines been acted really well. I assumed Max Bowden / Ben Mitchell was a cert! So happy for Katie McGlynn though. |

I voted for After Life, but Mrs Brown would've been my second choice

Katie McGlynn and Jessie Nelson were really the only ones who deserved their awards, well Bake Off too I guess.
I don't even have the words for a Christmas special of Mrs Brown's Boys (of course barely classifiable as a comedy being totally devoid of any remotely humorous material) beating something as one-of-a-kind as Fleabag, as important as Sex Education or as hilarious as Derry Girls. |

Do the people who vote in these watch anything besides ITV? Seriously? Also I can't at Derry Girls - a show that was genuinely talked about and really came into its own with its second series last year - being beaten by the comedic equivalent of syphilis.

To be fair, I wasn't surprised a show with 6 million viewers beat a show that got 2-3
