Chris Brown arrested and will spend "the next month in jail"
It's unclear why, but the 24-year-old was booted from the Malibu rehab facility where he's been living for about four months, and sent directly to jail.
Mess. In rehab for anger management and not managing to see it through. His removal from there apparently has nothing to do with "violence and drugs" though which is a slight positive to take from it all. Could be spending a month in jail...

Thankfully for Chris the video to both Loyal and his Ariana Grande collab have been filmed, but he's also on Kid Ink's next single, and I don't know if they've filmed that yet.

What a mess Chris is! Good Keri have mercy! Honestly cannot stand the guy. He's one of the worst excuses for a human being imo. Such a shame because, as Griff stated, he has quite a few tunes and 'Exclusive' is one of my favourite R&B albums!

Older and wiser, Rihanna decided to take a "more mature" approach in advancing her relationship with Drake, and he agreed.
The now exclusive couple dated briefly in 2010 and has casually hooked up since then. RiRi and Drake won’t be taking any other big steps in their relationship anytime soon though.

The Happy singer sat down with the talk show host for an upcoming episode of Oprah Prime on her OWN Network, and was moved by a video shown to him of people dancing to his chart-topping song.
‘Why am I crying on Oprah?’ Pharrell said through tears as he was overcome with emotion
‘It’s overwhelming because I love what I do and I just appreciate the fact that people have believed in me for so long that I could make it to this point, and feel, to feel that.’
With some encouraging words from Oprah, Pharrell, 41, was also shown some pictures from his childhood.
During the interview, Williams – wearing one of his many distinctive Vivienne Westwood hats - discussed his rise to fame, his song-writing process and the music that influenced him to become a seven-time Grammy winning recording artist and producer.
‘My best songs come from two different ways,’ he says. ‘Either when I have a really good gut feeling about something, it's written in the shower or on a plane.’
‘Shower's good, isn't it?’ Oprah says. ‘There's something about the water.’
‘The water attracts your ear,’ he says. ‘You get distracted, and your mind wanders.’
But for his Despicable Me 2 song, Pharrell called it a ‘crazy, half-court shot.’

Diddy needs to quit being an artist and let Cassie finally release her sophomore album (!!!) with the (obviously huge) promo campaign he will probably get for his project. Going by her mixtape last year it would probably get WAY more people interested and we'd be blessed with MUCH better material out of it.

Jay Z physically attacked by Solange Knowles
According to our sources, it all went down at a Met Gala after party last week at the Standard Hotel in NYC. In the video ... Jay Z, Beyonce and Solange step into the elevator ... and then Solange goes crazy, screaming at Jay before unleashing a violent attack.
A large man -- who appears to be a bodyguard -- attempts to hold Solange back, but she manages to connect at least 3 times. At one point Solange throws a kick and Jay grabs her foot, but never attempts to strike her. Beyonce stands by without getting physically involved.
It's unclear what triggered the fight.
And this is interesting. When you look closely, you see the bodyguard hit the emergency stop switch on the 12th floor -- mid fight -- presumably to keep the fight private.
All three walked out of the building together -- Solange looks pissed -- but while Bey and Solange get in one car ... security walks Jay to a different one.

I just dont get it, all Nicki did was make Stupid Hoe which didnt even comment on her DIRECTLY. It is like she is mad because she had all these ideas and songs similar to Nicki and she never experienced the same level of success. Instead of being bitter, just make good music again and get people to notice you in a less embarrasing way.

On top of reportedly planning to sue Birdman in order to be released from his contract -- and claims that he's owed an $8 million advance for the yet-to-be released Tha Carter V -- Weezy is demanding he leaves Cash Money Records with all Young Money Entertainment artists.
According to TMZ, Lil Wayne plans to keep Young Money artists under his label, seeing that they're under contract. That includes Drake, Nicki Minaj, Christina Milian, Lil Twist and Mack Maine.
A possible setback in Lil Wayne's plan may be that the Young Money artists have distribution deals with Cash Money, which may have to be resolved in court. Also, Birdman has played a big role in the majority, if not all, of the Young Money artists careers.
"I've gotten so much closer to Wayne lately. Wayne is his own person. He's a businessman and whatever decision Wayne makes, I would never in my life speak against it publicly... even if I didn't agree," Nicki Minaj told Power 106 LA in December, when speaking on Lil Wayne and Birdman's beef. "Baby has always been one of my best friends in the game. And I know that they love each other; that's family."
A representative for Lil Wayne did not respond to request for comment at time of press.

Legendary British MC and vocalist Tenor Fly has passed away.
The artist was perhaps most closely associated with the ragga and jungle movements, helping to broaden the language of both with his imagination and spiritual depth.
The MC would, however, spray over any rhythm that came his way, working with everything from roots reggae and dancehall through to ruffneck drum 'n' bass.
The passing of Tenor Fly has come as an enormous shock to the UK bass community, with countless artists paying their respects.
London label Nice Up! Records seem to sum up the MC's life and work better than anyone else:
Without a doubt one of the legends of the soundsystem scene here in the UK and a talent that spread across the world. From dancehall, reggae and hip hop to jungle, his style and influence cannot be understated - an original roughneck rudeboy. Not only a consummate artist and performer, but a genuinely nice guy too. Trey Songz has been arrested after reportedly throwing equipment off a stage when he was asked to end a show in Detroit.
According to some people in the crowd, the singer said he would "go crazy" if his microphone was turned off.
Police said he became "upset and belligerent" when he was asked to leave the stage after his set ran over its allotted time.
He was charged with aggravated assault and assaulting a police officer.
The 32-year-old, whose real name is Tremaine Neverson, reportedly threw microphones and speakers into the audience at Big Show at the Joe, which also featured Chris Brown and Desiigner on the line-up.
Detroit police added someone in the crowd was reportedly hit in the head by an object and that an officer was punched.
A video from the concert seemingly shows the singer telling the crowd he's been told his microphone will be turned off and encouraging them to tweet about it if it happens.
Another clip appears to show him knocking over instruments.
Neaira Williams, who was in the crowd, told the Press Association: "His performance was so entertaining that I don't believe anyone realised that he went over his time.
"He warned the audio crew that if they turned off his mic then he would go crazy... and then instruments started flying and he jumped into the crowd."
The singer was released after paying bail and is due to appear in court on 5 January.

I'd say Stefflon Don would count as 'emerging and upcoming talent' at the moment really.
If anything, Eminem should be taken out of that though because it makes it look a bit dated :') Maybe someone like Drake, Future, Tinashe, SZA etc would be a better fit.

Police in Auburn said they arrested the artist after a woman called emergency services at 03:48 (10:48 GMT) to report a sex assault.
The singer strongly denies the allegations and has now been released.
"I have not been charged... therefore no bail was required," he tweeted.
"I was released, pending further investigation."

8 months isn't that long in the grand scheme of things, I don't think it'll affect him that much (although his mainstream relevance seems to have been on a downward trend anyway with his new EP thing this year not producing any top 40 hits). If anything it might actually help if there's some hype around his grand return when he gets out again.

Missy Elliott will become the first female rapper to receive the MTV VMA Vanguard Award on 26th August, and will perform at the ceremony when she receives her award - her first performance there since 2003 (which I'm sure is the infamous one with Madonna, Britney and Christina!) so I'm sure it'll be 🔥
