It's been 2 and a half years since I last went to a concert (Steps in November 2021), but next week I'm seeing Girls Aloud! cheer.gif I'll be seeing them twice, plus I have Troye Sivan and Janet lined up. cheeseblock.png

2024:
24/05 - Girls Aloud - The Girls Aloud Show - Manchester - AO Arena
13/06 - Girls Aloud - The Girls Aloud Show - Nottingham - Motorpoint Arena
18/06 - Girls Aloud - The Girls Aloud Show - Birmingham - Resorts World Arena
28/06 - Troye Sivan - Something to Give Each Other Tour - Birmingham - Utilita Arena
27/09 - Janet Jackson - Together Again - Birmingham - Utilita Arena

-----------------

My complete list of concerts: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...p;#entry6970273

18 years and 2 months have passed since I attended my first ever concert (Sugababes in March 2006). I was aged 18 years and 1 month when I saw them! drama.gif

I wish I could have seen some of my favourite artists in concert during my childhood, but it just wasn't something that my parents thought of doing with me... and I didn't really think to ask to do it because I assumed the answer would be no. kink.gif But clearly once I became an adult there was no stopping me! laugh.gif

I’m not a regular gig goer - it’s certainly not something I’d think to arrange of my own accord. But today someone at work sent an email round saying she had a spare ticket for The Killers supported by Travis at the O2 she was looking to sell on, and I just thought why not.

It was great, and did make me wonder why I don’t do it more often. It was a standing ticket but that seemed much better to me as it meant I could get much closer, and I was only 8 rows from the stage.

The most amazing part was when they brought the football up on the big backing screen just after England scored the decisive goal and showed the last three minutes! And then a load of confetti came down and they played “Mr Brightside”! That wouldn’t have really been possible to plan so there must have been some really quick and clever thinking going on. Even as a non football fan who’s only really 1/4 English that was a very special moment.

I’ll put spoiler tags round the set lists in case anyone’s still to see the show. I may have missed a couple.

Travis:
Sing
Driftwood
Alive
Side
Closer
Flowers in the window
Gaslight
WDIAROM

Killers:
Read my mind
Somebody told me
Spaceman
Jenny was a friend of mine
Smile like you mean it
Shot at the night
Running towards a place
On top
The man
A dustland fairytale
Mr Brightside
Runaways
All these things that I’ve done
When you were young
Caution
Dying breed
Your side of town
A little respect (Erasure cover!)
Human
