Shane said early this year in a radio interview that the single will be a summer release. I thought it will be this month. So we just have to wait until September.maybe. and his wife said he's been working hard for the past six months.

They were deffinitely supposed to release a single along with the Wembley concerts but now we dont know. I hope they will be more focused on music since there will be no touring for the next 12 months

Just because they are quiet at the moment doesn't mean they aren't working. Since album is probably being released in November, they aren't rushing with the singles, maybe they are planning a September/October release, maybe even simply November so it comes out a week or two before the album.

It's only normal to have your fans consuming constantly, otherwise u become irrelevant. more singles more sales. there is no no.1 or top 10 streak.. They've been off work for 1.5 years now... I remember seeing some photos of them recording in Jan 2020. The frustration of the fans is starting to be justified. there is no enthousiasm really... I am pretty sure they can still secure Top 15 without heavy promo in advance, especially for a lead single. Even Better Man managed #13 and that song was just average and it was a 2nd single. Having a #1 single for Westlife is simply not possible so no need to bend over backwards for something that won't happen. Westlife are veterans in the music business and having very high expectations is pointless in my opinion. This post has been edited by zeze88: 5th July 2021, 09:51 AM |

No no i do not have any high expectation. as i said we should have something to consume the last 1.5 year.... Years dont go backwards....
PS: Better man peaked at No26, only Hello My Love with all the push got to No13... Since then only My Blood managed to enter the charts at #96. |

I am just happy we are getting an album, I don't care much about anything else. They don't really owe us anything and a lot of people dealt with COVID differently so maybe they didn't feel like doing anything. |

I think we should get a single in Aug or Sept the max…. It only makes sense from a lot of viewpoints…… Westlife should not forget that they sold around ~600k singles from Spectrum ehile they only did ~180k of spectrum… so if they want to keep fixing their sold records total they know the way forward and they shouldnt sct like we are in the 00’s

Is this their most busy 18 months ever??? Honestly i expected more…. They are inactive for almost 2 years…. I think Covid situation shouldn't be ignored, we shouldn't grasp at that sentence they haven't even said, it was their spokesman based on their, at the time, upcoming stadium gigs and even an American small tour. Plans obviously changed and I am not surprised at all. Besides, that was reported in March so only 4 months has passed in that 18 months cycle, maybe they are planning more which they haven't revealed yet. As for 2 years being inactive, its not their fault they couldn't tour last year and they released 3 singles from 2019 album, so its not like they could have one anything before the new album. They are making the album now and we will get it soon enough. This post has been edited by zeze88: 29th July 2021, 07:59 AM |

I would expect a lot more music wise. There are a lot of artists who released music the last year. Assuming also the concert cancellation gave them even more free time… anyway its mostly concerning because what we understand from all this is that Westlife cannot be sustainable with no tour and also pressumably the deal with the new company does not include 4 singles/music videos like the one in virgin :/

That would be great for Westlife but I kind of doubt it.
Yes, its true many released music but many also didn't. I wasn't even expecting an album in 2020 pandemic or no, they said they won't overwork themselves with an album per year and that is perfectly ok. |

They'll be part of Radio 2 Live in Belfast to celebrate the comeback of live music on August 26, Thursday. Maybe a new single will be released or already released during that time ☺️

I guess they are showing their support to the people who are helping through this pandemic. Hello My Love is an odd choice to use it for that but then again, it was their latest popular single and I can't think of other song that would fit better anyway. But yeah, I guess they will release something soon, its a goo move to promo the new single on this upcoming Radio 2 event. |
