Gutted for Hard Sun but the fact it's all out there on iPlayer would definitely have affected it! No doubt, the BBC will have expected a significant drop.

Monday 15th January
BBC 1 19:00 The One Show - 3.79m (19.4%) 19:30 Inside Out - 3.33m (16.2%) 20:00 EastEnders - 6.21m (27.8%) 20:30 Panorama - 2.48m (11.0%) 21:00 Silent Witness - 5.46m (25.1%) ITV (inc. +1) 19:00 Emmerdale - 6.58m (33.7%) 19:30 Coronation Street - 7.46m (36.3%) 20:00 The Martin Lewis Money Show - 3.98m (18.0%) 20:30 Coronation Street - 7.06m (31.3%) 21:00 Next of Kin - 2.95m (13.6%) Channel 5 (inc. +1) 21:00 Celebrity Big Brother - TBA [Exc. +1: 1.26m (5.8%)] -x- Tuesday 16th January BBC 1 19:00 The One Show - 3.89m (20.6%) 19:30 EastEnders - 6.03m (30.5%) 20:00 Holby City - 4.40m (21.8%) 21:00 Silent Witness - 5.50m (26.1%) ITV (inc. +1) 19:00 Emmerdale - 6.51m (34.4%) 19:30 Britain's Favourite Dogs: Top 100 - 3.29m (16.1%) Channel 5 (inc. +1) 21:00 Celebrity Big Brother - TBA [Exc. +1: 1.36m] Silent Witness slightly down on its usual standards this year, but no cause for alarm as Part 1 of the series opener last week has consolidated to 8.68m - that's apparently the highest time-shift (2.78m) for the series, plus it's a higher 7-day data rating than any of 2017's series and not far off the high of 8.72m that the 2016 series got. I'm guessing that there could be a crossover audience with Next of Kin which is slightly denting the overnights for Silent Witness. |

The figure for Hard Sun is disappointing, but I'm one of those who have already watched it all on iPlayer. Do the people who watch it in advance of the transmission date get included in the consolidated figures?

Do the people who watch it in advance of the transmission date get included in the consolidated figures? I'm not sure what the rules are exactly but I don't think they do. That's just based on my own interpretation of looking at overnights and consolidated figures - the 'catch-up' figures always seem low. |

I'm not sure what the rules are exactly but I don't think they do. That's just based on my own interpretation of looking at overnights and consolidated figures - the 'catch-up' figures always seem low. Which, potentially means the figures will be rather misleading. After all, if a lot of people do as I have done, that is surly an indication that a programme is popular. It would be a pity if the final viewing figures don't reflect that. |

Wednesday 17th January
BBC 1 19:00 The One Show - 3.54m (18.1%) 19:30 MOTD Live: Chelsea v Norwich City - 3.99m (20.6%) [Peak: 6.08m (40.1%) at 22:40] ITV (inc. +1) 19:00 Emmerdale - 6.96m (35.6%) 19:30 Coronation Street - 7.53m (37.7%) 20:00 Britain's Brightest Family - 3.90m (19.6%) 20:30 Coronation Street - 6.81m (31.3%) 21:00 Girlfriends - 4.29m (21.0%) Channel 4 (inc. +1) 21:00 Kiri - 2.52m (12.4%) Channel 5 (inc. +1) 21:00 Celebrity Big Brother - 1.38m (6.8%) Girlfriends up 310k week-on-week, perhaps because Kiri falls 710k. Still a good showing for a C4 drama though. Emmerdale almost a 7m! That's higher than any of its 2017 overnight ratings. |

Would I Lie To You is doing much better away from Corrie. It shows it's really wasted in the 8:30pm slot!
