If you could nominate someone who was not a politician to be Prime Minister, who would you choose?
someone whose views you respect, and/or is prepared to express them despite criticism, perhaps? This post has been edited by vidsanta: 12th December 2017, 07:31 AM |

I never would have guessed everyone was so happy with the current one.
OK, to get the ball rolling, I'll say Richard Littlejohn. |

There isn't time to list all the people who would do a better job than May. The list of people who would do better than John Littledick is even longer.

I did think about suggesting Morrissey - just imagine the PM's weekly meeting with the Queen!

Morrissey as PM would generate lots of complaints but little action. Until, that is, he introduces his gradual meat ban, beginning with the Christmas turkey. That will tigger mass rioting.

Piers Morgan. He talks so much sense on GMB on ITV every morning. He says what the ordinary person is thinking. Was going in to one over closed schools yesterday. When he and I were young there weren't closed schools. Now you have a few flakes and they're all shut for weeks. He said "kids your school will re-open in February" Classic. Long live Piers.

Piers tubs morgan, a man with so few scruples he allows hacking phonecalls of someone dying of cancer, then denies all knowledge of it.
I can see why so many admire him. Pretty sure he wouldnt have gone to my schools, mine were poor state schools. Nobody i was at school with had a name like Piers, for a start... |

Good god. Can someone who doesn't presumably think that Roy Moore is a solid bloke please come up with a suggestion?

OK, Stephen Fry with Sandi Toksvig as deputy. JK Rowling can be Education Secretary and David Attenborough can advise on environmental policy.

Basically any of those wise documentary presenters would be excellent! This post has been edited by Snow❄Diploughmat: 14th December 2017, 12:01 AM |

Jeremy Corbyn, Steven Hawkings, Richard Dawkings or Terry Eagleton would be far better than any of those loony right wing options.

Piers Morgan possesses good interview skills when I have seen him on TV (it's nice to see that he isn't afraid of pauses and doesn't tend to talk over guests), I'll give him that, but otherwise he is absolutely awful. Next someone will be saying Katie Hopkins for PM.
The first celebrity to come into my head is Lily Allen. She has a similar political stance to me from what I have observed and is also great with women's rights, which is appealing to me as well for obvious reasons. This tweet alone is a selling point in itself |

Or as sane people see it, reasoned intelligent people free from billionaire control Chuka umunna the current sole sane labour voice, brian cox, jk rowling, stephen hawking, preferences Failing that id settle for a performing seal. |
