Want: Jojo Rabbit
Think: 1917

Honestly though. Any of these I think I'd be fine with. A solid year overall this year! I am slightly hoping 'Parasite' has enough momentum to score an upset over '1917' though. Something not predictable for such a strong year would be nice!

International - Parasite
O Screenplay - Parasite (alt: OUATIH)
A Screenplay - Jojo Rabbit (alt: Little Women)
Documentary - For Sama (alt: American Factory)
Song - Rocketman (alt: Breakthrough) (Harriet could snatch here too)
Visual Effects - 1917 (alt: Irishman)
Cinematography - 1917

Best picture: “Parasite” (the hype seems to be rising so much right now and they got a backlash last year for going with something obvious, so I'll be optimistic, wouldn't be at all surprised if 1917 takes it though.)

Best actress in a leading role: Renée Zellweger, “Judy”

Best actor in a leading role: Joaquin Phoenix, “Joker”

Best director: Sam Mendes, “1917”

Best actor in a supporting role: Brad Pitt, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”

Best actress in a supporting role: Laura Dern, “Marriage Story”

Best animated feature film: “Klaus” (very unpredictable though, Missing Link could surprise or ofc. Toy Story, very open category)

Best international feature film: South Korea, “Parasite” (most foregone conclusion of the night)

Best original screenplay: “Parasite” (few other contenders though)

Best adapted screenplay: “Jojo Rabbit”

Best documentary feature: “Honeyland”

Best original song: “ (I’m Gonna) Love Me Again,” from “Rocketman”

Best visual effects: “The Lion King”

Best cinematography: “1917,” Roger Deakins

Best production design: “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”

Best makeup and hairstyling: “Bombshell”

Best costume design: “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” (Little Women a strong contender too, but I feel like that will probably be snubbed </3)

Best original score: “Joker,” Hildur Gudnadottir

Best documentary short subject: “Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You’re a Girl)”

Best animated short film: “Kitbull”

Best live-action short film: “The Neighbors’ Window”

Best film editing: “Ford v Ferrari”

Best sound mixing: “1917”

Best sound editing: “Ford v Ferrari”

The acting categories aside, this does seem a very open year in general, I'll be interested to check in when I wake up~
