The majority of bands I've gone out of my way to see have been entered to BJSC, although that doesn't hold true for DJ sets. Many of my entries have been discovered thanks to live performances and they are often some of my more interesting choices (Three Trapped Tigers, Isolée and Legowelt most notably).
Although I"ve just realised that Grizzly Bear, who are most definitely not obscure, have never been entered wtf. They are one of my favourite live experiences. Time to remedy that next year x This post has been edited by Harve: 11th December 2017, 06:07 AM |

Finally saw my first artist that I’ve sent to BJSC live and it happens to be my worst performing one, Mabel
Sadly of course she didn’t perform Know Me Better |

Posted this in another thread on here but I saw Georgia supporting Jungle a few months back!
Edit: Oh and I've seen Pet Shop Boys as well! Just don't really connect them to BJSC as obviously I've known them for ages. |

Aly & AJ, Kero Kero Bonito, Lights, Ashlee Simpson, Britney Spears, Kesha, Metro Station, Set It Off, Selena Gomez, Millionaires, Jeffree Star... I think that might be it? But, that's just off the top of my head, there could be more.

Just from my entries:
Imperial Leisure, Sœur, Breanne Düren*, Port Blue**, Lights, Meadowlark, Moriaty, Hockeysmith, The Midnight, Savoir Adore and Death Cab For Cutie (spinoff) Also of other artists I've seen and know have been in BJSC that I know of: Bastille, Clean Bandit, Against The Current, Marmozets, Lianne La Havas, mewithoutyou, Paramore, PVRIS, Bjork, Rationale, The Hoosiers, Years Away, COIN, Tyne. *Sort of, she was a backing vocalist for Owl City's set when I saw him **Port Blue = Adam Young = Owl City - he had a couple instrumental songs in there, one might've been Port Blue(?) If we're including Nuggets: Wildwood Kin, Backbeat Soundsystem, Beach Weather. So, basically a huge chunk of artists I've seen live. x |

The first 2 concerts I went to with Jade both had an artist I've sent to BJSC spinoffs on the bill (The xx, then James Blake as the support act for Kendrick Lamar), and our forthcoming third concert together continues that theme as it's The Chemical Brothers who I have also sent to a spinoff yet to see any artists that I've sent to the main contest.

I've seen quite a few of my entrants live, I've seen all but Red Blooded Women from my first 11 entires live.
I've seen Sugababes 2.0 and Sugababes 3.0. Laura Critchley, Dragonette and Gabriella Cilmi were all support acts for 3.0. I've seen MKS live (so also ticking off Mutya and Siobhan) and their support was Little Nikki. From the first 11 i've also seen Lily Allen and Amy MacDonald. Then there's a massive gap, the downside to my taste widening a bit to include a lot more Scandinavian artists. Recently I've seen Namika and most excitingly for me was Dagny who was wonderful. I'm hoping to see Alvaro Soler in 2020 and I'm considering going to see Nico Santos in April 2020 but I need to get my relocation sorted yet. Top of my list to see is Gabrielle. If she announces a headline show I will cancel everything and go immediately. Same for Tone Damli. I would love to see both live. |
