So here’s a little surprise smile.gif

Before kicking off the New Year, I thought that we should take a look back at the biggest hits in the US and talk about how great/awful the chart has been. And it has been one moment after another. From “Despacito” tying Mariah’s record to Ed Sheeran’s multiple versions of “Perfect”, we’re taking a look back at the Hot 100 #1’s of 2017 with a Least Favorite poll! Which of these will be Buzzjack’s favorite?

A little backstory:
QUOTE
The Billboard Hot 100 is a chart that ranks the best-performing songs in the United States. Its data, published by Billboard magazine and compiled by Nielsen SoundScan, is based collectively on each song's weekly physical and digital sales, as well as the amount of airplay received on American radio stations and streaming on online digital music outlets.

During 2017, eleven singles reached number one on the Hot 100; a twelfth single, "Black Beatles" by Rae Sremmurd featuring Gucci Mane, began its run at number one in November 2016. Of those eleven number-one singles, six were collaborations. In total, nineteen acts topped the chart as either lead or featured artists, with twelve—Daft Punk, Migos, Lil Uzi Vert, Ed Sheeran, DJ Khaled, Quavo, Chance the Rapper, Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, Cardi B, Post Malone, and 21 Savage—achieving their first Hot 100 number-one single. "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber was the longest-running number-one of the year, leading the chart for sixteen weeks; despite this, Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" topped the Billboard Year-End Hot 100.

Rules are simple, just vote for your least favorite and each round will continue like this until one is left.

Voting for Round 1 closes Tuesday, January 2 2018. Have fun everybody!

Taylor lol. This is otherwise a great list, the two Ed ones are the next weakest probably and I like Ed.

Some pretty awful tunes here, but for my first vote gonna go for Cardi B - Bodak Yellow, what a piece of crap, so glad this didn't do much over here in the UK, it's just noise and will be forgotten by the new year.

Migos & Cardi B can go back to chart irrelevancy, everything else there is actually pretty decent. A lot of them are overplayed (with good reason, really) but other than that I can’t fault them as #1.

'Perfect' for sure. Outside of Ed Sheeran I think 2017 was one of the strongest years for Billboard #1s I've seen; 'Bad And Boujee' and 'Bodak Yellow' were especially great to see get there.
