Sunday Chart Predictions
Predicting the 14/06 to 20/06 chart For a third week, Jason Derulo should remain at #1 with 'Want to Want Me' since there is no major competition from this week's new releases. Hoping to make the Top 10 is Zedd & Selena Gomez' 'I Want You to Know' and WALK THE MOON's 'Shut Up and Dance', whilst the rest of the Top 40 may see new entries from Rixton's 'We All Want the Same Thing', Leona Lewis' 'Fire Under My Feet' and DJ Fresh & Adam F's 'Believer'. Challenging Noel Gallagher for the highest weekly album sale of 2015, Muse are likely to hit #1 with their seventh studio album Drones. Likely contenders for the Top 40 include FFS' FFS, Leftfield's Alternative Light Source, Of Monsters & Men's Beneath the Skin, The LaFontaines' Class, Tremonti's Cauterize and Young Guns' Ones and Zeros. ======================================================== Please note new changes to the Sunday Chart Predictions thread topic: Tuesday/Thursday - There will be no mids from MW for Tuesday and Thursday, however they may come from other sources - this is not always guaranteed. You can still post your own predictions for the week to generate chat to the topic. Wednesday - Radio 1 Top 40 Update Chart from 3:30pm to 4pm. Links to the Top 100 Update on the OCC site will be posted with sales from the OCC or other sources. Friday - Final Mid update from MW from 11am onwards. Surprised to see Walk The Moon above Zedd, I guess they had lots of pre-orders whereas Zedd didn't even crack the top 1000 with his pre-order (if so, not by much)

Unsurprisingly, big old Muse number one album sales. More surprisingly, Leftfield at 3 (but it’s tight so prob will fall). |

I didn't realise Muse would be more popular than Mumford and Sons given global sales of prior albums!

Great start for Walk The Moon and Zedd, should definitely both go top 10 although I doubt WTM will manage to remain top 5.
Not a bad start for Leona. Should be able to maintain top 40. Hopefully getting a play on the Radio 1 midweek chart on Wednesday will help get her some more sales. |

Didn't expect a 43k figure for Muse. Great for them!

Not bad????? Its a bit of a disaster If anyone was expecting this to actually go to number one, they clearly haven't been following its pre-order performance and airplay (not to mention since it was released on iTunes it hasn't got any higher than 21). Leona hasn't had a number one here since Run in 2008. Considering this was not meant to be released for another 3 weeks originally to build up steam and has only had one TV performance to promote it so far, I don't think it is that bad. People's expectations for Leona are far too high now as anything less than top 10 is deemed a flop. The charts have changed quite a lot since she last had a proper hit (One More Sleep was seasonal so not exactly got the opportunity to sell all year round), not quite so easy to get that initial high peaking song with the addition of streaming which takes time to build. Top 40 IS still a hit. |

She might make the top 40, but considering it's her 'comeback single' with a new label, it's a pretty woesome situation for Leona, however you look at it. If they wanted to establish her as more of an album seller, they needed to have an album ready to come out at the same time, instead of randomly releasing the single early, when it's only just picking up radio plays. It's going going to be branded a flop next week which will further damage her career.
