Unfortunately I won't be watching I prefer the original movie. From the trailer it looks good, but I feel its going to be a big let down, as the story unfolds. On the plus side Will Smith does not appear in it Liam Hemsworth takes the lead.

I wonder if they are having a dig with the release date on referendum day:

It's like a gift for the Leave campaign - brave rebels against the system fight off hordes of invading aliens and save the world for all time on Independence Day.

In their own heads, of course....

Personally I'm expecting to see juicy roles for Gove, Johnson and Farage in this movie. They already look like aliens and won't need any make-up.

I'm excited for this just because of Jeff Goldblum and Maika Monroe

Other than that, I can't really say I'm anticipating it lol.
