You could say that about literally every #1 on this chart (and the albums chart, of which they've got 3 #1s on anyway...) True, I guess the whole idea is to be 'alternative' but it makes you question what the significance of being #1 is. (I was thinking more about this particular single!) |

Well this is what the chart is based on - https://www.reddit.com/r/indieheads/comment...6_2018/e63x1rg/ I know, I posted that link in a previous thread for someone who asked how it was compiled! I was questioning the significance of being #1 on it though, does it mean anything more than just some music blogs talking about it? It doesn't seem like the public have any influence on it at all? |

Well not really But I guess if the public weren't interested in it - the music blogs wouldn't write about it. It's a popularity contest (which is what all charts are anyway!) |

Awful #1 x
Not made as many good discoveries from this list as last week's but the Kim Gordon song was a bit of a pleasant surprise! 'British Bombs' is great as well (can see it getting pretty firmly stuck in my head, almost sounds like a George Ezra song), and 'Fuck It I Love You' but that's hardly 'alternative' xx Very disappointed by the Mura Masa/Clairo song, I thought that sounded like a potentially great collaboration but it sounded pretty generic. |
