Sounds good to me.
Turns down Universal and signs for BMG with old Parlophone friend Jamie Nelson
Lets hope they manage her better than Parlophone.
I am not going to get my hopes too high. I do remain optimistic about her working with Jamie Nelson. I have convinced myself the new album cannot be worse than Kiss Me Once and for that reason i am optimistic.
Good news!

The article mentioned that she worked with Nile Rodgers, Disclosure and Giorgio. If the collab with Disclosure is true, count me excited !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Officially official.
I'm pleased Kylie has signed to a new label but let's get real - she is approaching 50 and doesn't get radio support like she once did so the chances of her having a big comeback are zilch. I hope I'm wrong but we'll see!
More chance of it happening than there is of you not being a constant misery though.
I'm hoping it'll be this year, and I'm hoping it'll be a solid fanbase appeasing pop album and not fruitlessly chasing a commercial trend (please note Kylie: release a tropical house song and I am boycotting you)
Tropical house feat Sean Paul please
Now it's time for her Cher-ish comeback... the last 4 years have been painful to watch
De Construction had no idea how to handle Kylie. Every release was botched up as have most of her recent releases with her current record label. It appears that neither Kylie or her team know how to hit the nail on the head when releasing new material.
They did reasonably well with KM94 to begin with. IP was a disaster but there were other things going on.
Yes, KM94 was on reflection handled reasonably well up until the awful choice for third single. With other great tracks on the album it is baffling to how they decided on Where has the Love Gone would be the single of choice over others.
Based on how Kylie;s singles perform now, the performance of Where Has The Love Gone would be satisfying for us to get now but when it charted it was seen as a big flop.
They went with Where Is The Feeling? I think it would have done better had they not waited for Kylie to be done with Biodome.
Where is The Feeling is what i meant to write, obviously where has the love gone is playing in my head!
Interesting reading back on this now
I think BMG have done brilliantly - #1 Gold album, Top 40 single, Top 60 single and lots of physicals and remixes. The singles could have been handled better but I think we can say that many times throughout Kylie’s career (Timebomb anyone )
We all think that after X, Kylie should've left.
Bmg have donr a great job except for the handling of golden the single.
How BMG handle the Greatest Hits release ( it is all looking promising) will be interesting.
They did extremely well with Golden (i would have switched the Christmas cassette for a new cd version).
That aside, they pushed Golden as much as they could.
The Greatest Hits will be a test to see if they can manage another successful album campaign.
Does anyone know if there's still a contract for Kylie with BMG after this year? I got the sense that she signed the record deal on an album-by-album basis.
Not sure what the contract is but I can see Kylie sticking with BMG; it just seems to benefit them both.
At the moment it make sense for Kylie and BMG to stay working together.
BMG appear to understand Kylie.
BMG seem to know how to market Kylie at this stage of her career and appear to give her creative freedom with her work, whilst Kylie's probably the biggest and most profitable artist that BMG have signed.
It appears a very positive working relationship which benefits both.
It’s a long term deal - one of the (many) reasons Kylie went with them was due to the fact the own the back catalogue to her PWL and Deconstruction recordings, obviously this gives her a level of control over what happens with them going forward plus makes things such as the new GH simpler to release.
That's good to hear! I know we keep talking about it but would be great if we can get a collection of her bonus material released. Who has rights to the stuff that hasn't been officially released?
It is likely the ownership of such material is extremely mixed therefore making such a release almost impossible.
I hope that's not the case as there is potentially a really good double album that could be released.
