It really annoys me when an artists puts out a Volume 1 of something and never follows it up, although I suppose, as mentioned, he could always follow it up at a later date.
It's usually with compilation albums that people do that tbh (usually acts who are never going to have enough hits to create a follow-up).

Not sure. As far as I know, there's a song where he's doing the vocals (and I think that it's a track from Benny Blanco instead of him) and two collaborations with Ina Wroldsen and Normani, respectively, aside the pendings tracks (or one if the two of them are in the same song) with Ellie Goulding and John Newman, respectively, back in 2016.
Personally, the Normani collaboration seems that it's going to be released by her label and not him by the way it came out. I mean, it was by Victoria Monet, one of the songwriters, on her social media and he didn't mention anything about it yet. The Ina Wroldsen collaboration seems the most viable option at this point because it was registered lately, but who knows?

I don't know why, but if he's going to release a new single, I expect this to be released on June 14. I mean, Columbia already sent the list of their upcoming singles to impact US Top 40/M radio to AllAccess and, surprisingly, there's nothing from them on June 18 (FYI, Tuesday is the day for impacting songs in the US), so I assume this means that there will be a song from the label to go for adds that day, but they don't want to reveal it yet. Another possibilities are that any of the previous songs listed ("Civil War" by Russ [11/6], "3 Nights" by Dominic Fike, [25/6] and "The Bones" by Maren Morris, [2/7]) is going to be pushed back to give a slot for this or he will release something in July.

It's interesting that you point out this, but I don't think that Columbia has pulled a radio deal recently. The latests have been from Republic ("ME!" and "If I Can't Have You"), Atlantic ("I Don't Care"), Capitol ("Nightmare" and "Never Really Over") and Interscope ("Easier"). I'm not totally sure about this, but it seems that something (most likely a new single) will be out on July 17. "Summer" was released on March/April of 2014, so the date seems off, but a year later he released "How Deep Is Your Love" on July 17, so... is he teasing the possible second Disciples collaboration to be out that day?

If the Instagram post above is shazamed, it says that the track is called "Hypnagogic (I Can't Wait)" and it's attached to an album called Love Regenerator 1 EP. As a consequence, it makes me think that he will release a couple of EPs under the Love Regenerator title, which I hope they will lead into an album, unless he drops that idea and he only releases one (see: Funk Wav Bounces, Vol. 1).

It's Adam's birthday and Tommie Sunshine spilled that they recently reconnected over Adam's upcoming project and it meant a lot to Tommie that he would share it with him.
I've known Calvin Harris since I stumbled across him on Myspace and signed him to my old record label. He was working at a grocery store in Dumfries, Scotland at the time and we both were dreaming of having life long careers in music. It's been incredible to watch his ascension into the highest heights of music. We recently reconnected over his upcoming project and it meant a lot to me that he'd share it. He's still the same humble dude he's always been and today I say Happy Birthday brother‼️ (photo by Rukes at Ultra 2013)

It seems that Adam has a new (sort of) alias: Funk Wav.
All of the songs from Funk Wav Bounces, Vol. 1 and the Funk Wav remix of SZA's "The Weekend" have been attached to this new profile on Spotify, so I'm wondering if there will be plans for another volume, despite he already said there aren't? Another possibility might be that he wants to classify all of his releases accordingly.
I'm not sure if I never noticed it before, but does he have a new cover on Spotify?

I really want to know what's happening with this project, I know LWYL is still doing great but it sort of feels like the numbered EPs have been abandoned at this point. The last one we received was Love Regenerator 3 in March! I really hope to see this project continue but we all know what he's like with being consistent with his projects

It's been a long time since I've seen Calvin Harris and 'album' in the same sentence, so I don't know what else to say.
Either way, take the above with a grain of salt because I don't know how reliable they are, but they seem to be one digging on their Twitter account. Also, it doesn't help that Adam tweeted an Apple Music link of Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1.

Do I want this? I'm not sure Vol. 1 is probably his weakest album to date for me, and I think that's more down to vast change in direction (though Feels is an absolute BOP). I shall reserve harsh judgment until we get a taste of what's to come.

Either way, I hope the release of the lead single is later this month (to coincide with his Big Weekend Radio 1 performance on May 28) and the album is set to be out next month or July 1 as the latest as I said before (to coincide [in a sort of way] with the fifth anniversary of Vol. 1).
oh I do hope he doesn’t just drop the whole album out of nowhere with no pre release singles, much as I am excited for it.

I doubt he would do that, he's not Beyonce or Rihanna. I think it's most likely the single will come at the end of the month and then the album a few weeks after that.

I think early July would be the best time for the album release. Have the first single come in the next few weeks and then the second one with the album release.
The teasers are getting a bit frustrating, but the latest one looks like it could be from a video shoot which is promising. I do wish the word soon could be banned in the music industry though.

If there's a "surprise" album release, it should be on May 27 to not coincide with The Chainsmokers and Harry Styles (both of them under Columbia / Sony, same label as Adam's). However, I agree that early July should probably be the best because June is packed as previously mentioned.

I agree that the teasers are getting tired at this point, but as Lewis mentioned, it does generate discussion in a sort of way.
Anyway, the album is finished and it's been said that the teaser above is a collaboration with Tinashe.
Speaking at the Radio 1 Big Weekend, Calvin has said the album isn't quite finished yet but is aiming to release it in July.

Not quite. Of Funk Wav Vol. 1's 19k opening week sales, 7k came from streaming.

'New To You' is the best thing this era so far. It's the song I feel like he tried to create with 'Potion' (which I found to be quite dull and monotonous) but didn't quite manage. Those strings are gorgeous!

It’s really not that deep. He’s just making the music he wants to make. I don’t really get why people were expecting such groundbreaking tracks when there is literally a Vol.1 where you can get the gist of what the vibe is.

I quite like all the songs except New Money which is a shame as I'm a huge 21 Savage fan! Vol. 1 is my favorite Calvin Harris album and I doubt this one will be as good but I'm sure it's still going to be decent at least

stay with me has grown on me a lot, and i found a edited version of potion without young thug so i can finally listen to that song without the pain of young thug, but both songs are still only mediocre so i have low expectations for this album. intrugued to see which collabs he pushes once the album drops!

There are still some good things, but Vol. 1 is 1000x better.

And for all those who don’t like the funk wav stuff, Calvin is already talking about getting back to the dance tracks. After Vol.1 we got One Kiss and Promises so hopefully something similar will happen.

I actually quite enjoyed this album overall, perhaps not as much as Vol. 1 but there were some standouts. Namely: Obsessed, Ready Or Not, Stay With Me, and Living My Best Life.

Tbh I think this is getting slated too much - yeah there's not many tracks that stand up well on their own and I'm really not a fan of Stay With Me or Obsessed, but put all together it works really well as summery background music. New To You is my favourite by miles, the production with all the strings is absolutely gorgeous

I was rather enjoying every track on this album up to 'Stay With Me' - I didn't love 'New Money' at first but it's grown on me, could have done with better vocal mixing though - so was prepared to make a post about it being way overhated but then the quality did kind of nosedive sharply after that oops (the closing track is a bit better again but still not one I'll be going back to). Still, I am a fan of all of the singles now and 'Woman Of The Year' is my standout from the album tracks, possibly my favourite on the album overall, not that that's that high of a bar tbf, it is lacking anything that's close to as standout as 'Slide' from Vol. 1.
The one song that really is as bad as everyone is saying this album is is 'Nothing More To Say', wtf was that x

"Obsessed" is the next single. Not expecting this to do a lot on streaming and sales wise (probably to outpeak its previous peak?), but let's see if this helps the album.
Vol. 1 is probably his weakest album to date for me, and I think that's more down to vast change in direction (though Feels is an absolute BOP). I shall reserve harsh judgment until we get a taste of what's to come.
