Act Like You Love Me is another one that always surprises me when I listen to the album again - it's definitely a grower over time, and I really love it now. wub.gif

Running Low is... LEAGUES ahead of most songs from the Handwritten era though. I love it so much, it's unreal. One of his best songs without doubt. So emotional, so raw. cheeseblock.png

I Know What You Did Last Summer - still not crazy about this one! It’s okay and it is memorable, but I think vocally it’s a bit grating.

Act Like You Love Me - Sounded pretty but maybe one that’s not made much of an impression on me beyond that. A grower, perhaps?

Running Low - Really enjoying this one! Instrumentally it’s making me think... 90s Celine power ballad? laugh.gif He sounds absolutely beautiful on this. wub.gif

Final song already!! This has gone in so quick, argh.

Memories is a really beautiful song. wub.gif Doesn't quite hit me as hard as Running Low, but it's a lovely way to bring the whole era to a close (in terms of its placing on the tracklist lmao), and like Joseph said previously - a step up from the main album too.

Not a problem, glad you both enjoyed revisiting the album wub.gif Thanks to you both for joining - and hopefully we can get another listening party set up soon for Illuminate as that seems to be another one people aren't really familiar with either! (with more people taking part? kink.gif)

Until next time ~

By the way this is the first time I’ve heard these Revisited tracks!

Memories is a really nice closing track, yet another song where he sounds gorgeous. With this song & Running Low, they both indicate to me that he was honing his sound. They’re like w glimpse of the artist he’d grow into with the next two albums.

~

For some reason the thought of listening to Handwritten again didn’t thrill, I suppose I had it in mind that Stitches was the only song of particular worth from this era... but I was wrong! Idk what went wrong with my first listen years ago, maybe I wasn’t in the right frame of mind when listening, or I was distracted. There’s lots of great songs here, dare I say some that are superior to songs from his 2nd & 3rd albums that I’ve given considerably more of my time. ohmy.gif

Thanks very much for hosting this Calum, I’ve enjoyed listening to this with you & Joseph biggrin.gif
