Ooh yesss Bre, Strange experimental Summericia is defo back I had first heard this in mid summer last year tbf but ended up revisiting and sending finally because I had nothing else I was that big on, even if this does DNQ.. I won't be too bothered as long as it has some fans behind it. Of course I'd welcome a qualifier but we'll see I guess (comes 27th or something tho)!

Blutengel managed to finish in a surprisingly impressive 10th place in the Halloween spin off. Thanks for the votes!

Well what a song to close out Summericias highly successful 2018.. In Strict Confidence are a German Electro band and "Morpheus" is the song that will be representing us In Aeroche for 110! The song is wait for it ...... 11 minutes and 20 seconds long but I couldn't find the 6 minutes one on YouTube or Soundcloud (which is what my main preference would be otherwise). The extended version includes singing in German and also English later before coming back to German again!
It's also the semi 2 closer so woop.. semi 1's closing song is kinda cool too as it's the only other song I know from seeing the songs in full... "1992" was a very big potential of mine two months back so much so that it was the first track I submitted to the contest held in Summericia but changed to Katty. It's a bop though so we hope that can do very well! |

Thanks for the votes especially the two 18's and 15's! |

Breaking up our 6 month + hiatus Summericia enter their first BJSC this year with some Japanese Pop with impressive high range vocals and a lovely piano input brought to you by Beverly with "i need your love". First time going for J/K pop so another venture into a different genre dimension for us! We first heard this is May and found it exceedingly infectious, so many cool things going on in it too. We aren't particularly sure if it will do major things but we're positive it can get some success! Check it out on my sound cloud page and on Spotify
(we would post the video however its only available on daily motion... There is a video on YouTube but its like 1.50 only so audio is your only option rly. :'( ) This post has been edited by Rob S~: 22nd July 2019, 11:50 PM |

Bjsc 118 : Covenant - Dead Stars.
Covenant are a Swedish Electronic group who formed in 1986, "Dead Stars" is a catchy slice of industrial packed with an infectious instrumental which from what I've read somewhere samples "Showroom Dummies" by Kraftwerk. Released in 2000 it comes from their 4th Studio Album United States of Mind and is one of their most popular songs. Interestingly enough this was a huge potential that I had ready to confirm on 3 occasions in 2017 and was my 2nd most streamed song of that year behind "Still Goin". Hope this has some fans! (also thanks to everyone who pointed us last contest and got us through to the final.. 31st wasn't a bad result!) This post has been edited by Rob S~: 24th September 2019, 08:06 AM |

Your last couple of entries in this comeback weren't doing it for me but 'Dead Stars' is something else *.* this is the Summericia I love.
Not sure if that was just a typo but the sample is of Kraftwerk! ('Kernkraft 400' is a song, not an artist ) |

How could I get that wrong :') also didn't realise it isn't Zombie Nation their talking about. (need to listen to the kraftwerk song!!) Yesss Bre I knew you'd be a fan of this *.* Also your artist is someone I was looking at last week whilst searching for entries (their older stuff tho not recent x) |

BJSC 119 // Nobuo Uematsu - Toberu Mono
We made the final again. As for our song... A classical sounding song featured in a popular 2011 game... The Last Story with a lush remix touching on major feels! Simple but effective, less is more etc etc... Now for a respectable placing! This post has been edited by Rob S~: 27th October 2019, 05:54 PM |

This is an absolutely wonderful number, it's no surprise I am a big fan of this And rewarding my next track with your 18 <3 Whilst 32nd isn't our greatest achievement we are satisfied with our consistency in final qualifications and getting into the last contest of the year final for the first time since 2016! An Unusual statistic / record has suddenly come out of the woodwork too... BJSC 118 Cowtermont gives Summericia 18 points in final - Summericia gives Cowtermont their 18 in exchange. BJSC 119 Séyetana give Summericia 18 points whilst Summericia give Séyetana an 18. BJSC 120.... (see where this is going ;o) Dobago give Summericia their top points while Summericia give Dobago their top 18 points!! I don't get how this keeps happening but for 3 consecutive months we've exchanged 18's with those 3 countries. This is surely unheard of The weird thing is will pattern continue *.* And as mentioned re final qualification streak this is the first time we've reached 4 consecutive qualifiers in almost 3 years. We're hoping to break that record! Fingers crossed we select something fab. -- Finally thanks for all the votes this year and well done to Ultraviolenceland for providing a fantastic winner to close the year/decade out. |

Last month saw Faouzia's pop song "Tears of Gold" place inside the top 10. In doing so giving us 5th top 10 and 3rd best performance overall!
Thank you to all who voted for it and a special thanks to Hendinia, FARC, Singerpurear and Taahino for the maximum points ❤️ ------ 122 ¦ CAT - Moon Spells Time to head back to Witch House for the first time in 2 years (February to be exact *.) |

Got a bit behind on updating this oops.
BJSC 123 // Alice Grey - Take Me To The Water (reached Final, came 32nd) BJSC 124 // Amy Peters - Salt (DNQ) Bjsc 125 // CHROM - The Start of Something New (tba position in final) So after entering some filler pop songs (well Alice more so but thanks to those who were a fan especially pop fans who hadn't pointed us in ages) we return to our comfort sound this time with Synth electro band CHROM with their tune 'The Start of Something New'. I first heard the song in early March but decided on keeping it till a time I needed to unleash it but it stood out right away, comfortably my 2nd fave this year. We were REALLY unsure about it getting through as we've flopped with tracks that have similar voices to this before ie VNV Nation. So thanks for getting us in and we pray for it to do well, hopefully another respectable placing, ( This post has been edited by Rob S: 17th June 2020, 10:52 PM |

Rob, I would formally like to apologise for not pointing Tears Of Gold. I have no idea why I didn't. What a song! Hey Cam, I'm glad you are on board with TOG (better late than never!!) you don't have to apologise for it but fair enough. I've done that before with a couple of bjsc tracks so it's understandable! -- and.... Whilst we are at it. For this contest we opted for the cinematic film soundtrack sounding 'Warrior' by Randy Dominguez. We reached the final we are performing in 17th spot and are hoping to do well with this! P.s. Thanks also to everyone who voted for CHROM last month.. We were chuffed with scraping another top 20 finish (albeit on a tie but still a success nevertheless). Results from BJSC 126 - 34th
This is the second time we have finished in the bottom 10 of a final this year. 'Warrior' becomes the 2nd of our entries to place in 34th. We have finished here before with 'Heartbeat' by Margaret. We'd like to thank Séyetana and Dobago for rewarding us with their 18's.. Especially the latter as we would have unjustly dnqed if they hadn't given 12 to us in the semi. BJSC 127 awaits and we have a super relevant track for said current times ready! |

127: KAS:ST - Hell On Earth
"I'm a human being goddamnit, my life has value the speaking bits come from the film Network 1976 ironically this turned out to Peter Finch's (in the video above) last film as he passed away two months after. </3 we appear in semi 2 in 30th spot which is a brill placing for us however from skimming the countries in our semi it might be a tough task as we feel our general audience for this song are in the other semi :'( here's hoping for a qualifier nonetheless. |

Yaaaaaas. We got through especially in a pop dominant semi which did suddenly make us a bit worried. Now onto to a great final placing!

Fully here for this one as well (as I'm sure you could probably guess), worked very nice as a semi-final closer! Yay for it making it through despite the less than ideal draw ~
