New HBO drama about the aftermath of 2% of humankind vanishing without a trace.
That was a f***ing incredible opening episode. |

I loved it too, especially the scenes involving GR - need to read that book ASAP.

I did really enjoy the pilot. It was well acted, shot and scripted.
My only real concern is I don't know where the show is going? There were no major plots/incidents. I find the concept of how to these people are dealing with grief interesting, but I don't think it can sustain multiple seasons of interest. You just know we're never ever going to find out what actually happened to the 2% though! |

What about the cult? It looks interesting to me.
But I agree in general about the future of the show although it also reminds me of Under the Dome, and as we know they made it to season 2! |

But the cult for me is just mysterious. Like I don't expect them to have any answers, I just think the people in the cult found that lifestyle as a way of adapting to the changes. Just like there's the man who goes around killing the dogs. I mean I know it's based on one novel, so you would expect at some point they will have to massively deviate from the source material. But seeing as Damon Lindelof is the show runner, I don't think we can ever expect answers! |

I just finished reading that book - the trailers look so different from the book though!
The second episode was great! Totally different from the book, ha. This post has been edited by luk≡: 7th July 2014, 12:27 PM |

Just caught up with the series now. I was a little on the fence with the show, but wow the 3rd episode is brilliant. Engrossed fully now!

Yes it was. I'm really enjoying this show though. If enjoying is the right word for something so bleak.

My GOD that opening scene to episode 5 was horrific
Another fantastic episode. It's all so grim but it's so compelling |

Anyone else seen the latest episode?
After I was unsure about where the show was heading (and I still kinda am..) there are now so many unanswered questions and mysteries. Properly loving the show, and the lengths to which the GR will fight for their cause. |

Hands down the best new show I've started watching this year!
The finale was so good, and surprisingly a large amount of optimism about the future! |

Started watching this on Sky Atlantic, very impressive, the first episode had me hooked, trying hard not to read all the above comments.

Do you think so?
I'm glad they're getting back to the premise of the story this series as in what/why it happened - much more interesting IMO! |

Monday's episode was the best yet IMO, felt very sorry for Chris eccelstons character! Yes it was heartbreaking. I can't tell whether he is telling the truth, or his wife waking up was all in his mind. Such a sad plight though, especially with what he did at the end. Gonna guess we won't see him again for a couple of episodes! |
