Millie was great. The dramatic structure was great. The guest cast were fine. I guessed the ending twist. But. Yet more fantasy magic. Fairy rings? Mad Jack? People running screaming away? Nobody hiving a damn about this magic woman that can just appear and disappear?

And away from the magic whats with the complete dicks - wrutten by RTD! A young girl has a lost companion is wet through and is being stalked by a mad woman and what do they do? Take the piss be grumpy and mean dont call the Police dont enquire why one of them ran off screaming and believe in magic fairies.

I mean im back to this is not really happening its not real - because otherwise RTD is losing the plot when it comes to character believability. Way better than ep 1 and 2 but with huge plotholes that need a big payoff other than "it was all a dream!" Which would be a massive copout....

I thought the Welsh pub scene was really strong, it helped to exemplify the outsider feel and remember given this is psychological, it adds to Ruby's fears about being judged as an outsider. Also, I think it was a great bit of social commentary about anti-English sentiment within Wales, it's fairly underrepresented but it certainly exists (when I went there, we went past a pub that unironically said 'no English' along with 'no dogs'!), and I thought it a really interesting stance to take which helped increase the tension.

73 yards, whilst slightly frustrating, is the best episode of the season so far, there's no doubt about that. I also feel we will definitely find out a lot more of the unanswered questions, especially from this episode when the mystery of ruby Sunday is resolved.

I must say, this season isn't quite what i expected but it's been enjoyable and my biggest annoyance is that we only have an 8 (9 if you include the Christmas special) episode season.

Also, bubble and dot was really quite good.

Makes it the most watched episode of the series so far on +7 figures. Although only by 0.5m.
