Yes I (and the mods) know it's a couple of weeks in the past now but hopefully that's just given you more time to acclimatise to all your favourites and give quick and accurate votes for this contest because what is back is BUZZFESTIVALEN. And I'm taking Heat 1 like I apparently did last year. And in 2014. But not in 2015, where I took Heat 3. Maybe this is a tradition by now. Maybe not.
Other people have been approached and are taking other heats, Adam has the full schedule. We're live from wherever YOHIO's living these days. The songs you're voting on are below. PM me your votes when you have them. 1. Boris Rene - Her Kiss Everyone's favourite popstar whose backstory contains the anecdote 'he was a footballer once you know' developed a bit more of an identity this year, going a bit more adventurous than the horribly basic Put Your Love On Me. It did about the same in real life, and what's worse, it aped the likes of Bruno Mars and Pharrell, which means it got a bit of a frosty reception on here. But it's still a rather upbeat tune, so do I rule this out of contention yet? Adrijana - Amare A hatchet-faced Macedonian girl, Adrijana is allegedly a hip-hop artist. There's certainly something like that about Amare, but in Melfest it was a clear sacrificial place so that more favoured artists had no trouble easing through heat 1 without embarrassing headlines. Do we turn this on its head? Dinah Nah - One More Night Since her last appearance Dinah has spent some time studying music trends and considered that grindy Guetta dubstep is clearly inferior to Cash Cash and easily nightcored sounds. Keep being a couple of years behind the music industry, darling. The little spin you put on your songs will surely keep the gays attracted to you, assuming they haven't been tempted away by more refined songstresses. Like Ace Wilder. De vet du - Road Trip Representing a rather wondrous spiritual successor to Bada Nakna, this latest edition of heterosexual "comedians" getting up on stage to do an ironic banter performance with the lads now includes an even more ridiculous fuck-off breakdown. Charlotte Perrelli - Mitt liv Good on Charlotte for doing her own thing and not giving a single toss what anyone else thinks. I'm reminded of my recent BJSC entries. But with less guitars. In fact only one of them, strumming slowly. Do we have enough loyalty to her to get her off last place? Ace Wilder - Wild Child Ace Wilder sings about letting out your inner child, as if she didn't think the jokes were easy enough. She has a very strong record in Buzzfestivalen, coming a place ahead of where she finished in the actual thing both times, will Wild Child be the same, will it do even better? The choice is up to you. But this is her best entry for my money, full of excellent pop hooks, Sweden didn't know what they had. Nano - Hold On So very nearly the song that would represent Sweden in Kiev, Nano was criticised a bit for sounding a few years out of date and having a bit of a gravelly voice and as someone who lives in pop music's 2012 and can like a non-perfect voice, I say these are not bad things. I'm going to get stoned. Still, if I get to use Nano as a human shield... Vote using the following point system. Vote-friendly copy of song names below. 12 10 08 06 04 02 00 Boris Rene - Her Kiss Adrijana - Amare Dinah Nah - One More Night De vet du - Road Trip Charlotte Perrelli - Mitt liv Ace Wilder - Wild Child Nano - Hold On I'm going to reveal these next Saturday evening so if I could get all votes by Friday 31st March please (before a number of you forget and I allow them in during the day on Saturday because I'm NICE like that). Voters (11): Iz LexC AdamAloud Qween Conderella Aaron. Jerick Alpha Ryan gooddelta Harry |

Wild Child was always one of my favourites, but since seeing it live it's passed Statements to become my second favourite of the whole thing, I'm still hammering it.
Spot on with that description Iz, Sweden really just let this one slide right by, I couldn't believe the muted reaction to it in the arena. That chorus is such a 'made for TV or film' earworm. In fact, somebody really ought to invent a kids TV show called Wild Child just so this can be the theme. |

Really? We're doing this? We didn't even get write-ups for all the heats this year.
Either way. I'll vote. This better have an ending. |

Alright! I got 13 votes so I'm taking this away. Punctually. Kind of.
First act through to the top 5 is... Ace Wilder I know, I'm shocked. |

Let's follow that up with a bit of a balance...
De Vet Du also join the top 5 but that means only one of Boris Rene, Charlotte Perrelli or Nano is going any further. |

And the final act with a space in the top 5 will be...
this fine looking fellow, we're not dispensing with Nano quite yet. So the results for the bottom two. 6th Charlotte Perelli - Mitt Liv - 44 points 7th Boris Rene - Her Kiss - 42 points Charlotte was actually not last! Her Kiss' highest points were an 8 from ScottyEm while Charlotte picked up a 12 and two 8s from the LOYAL FEW. |

First qualifier....
the first song through to the final is... bleedingly obvious... Ace Wilder - Wild Child She'll be one of those contending for the win again. |
