26. Drake - Nice For What
You knew he'd be back soon. He really was on fire in 2018 & barely a minute after God's Plan had left the throne he goes & drops this beast. To be fair, I wouldn't rank it right up there in his discography but looking back, I felt it deserved bumping up a few spots here. An essential club staple. |

25. French Montana (feat. Drake) - No Stylist
Some more I hear you all ask? When I first heard this it was very much a "WOW" moment, it was hook-of-the-year material. French Montana has always been better on his own songs than as a feature as 'Unforgettable' & this has proven. I was spamming this non-stop for about a week but did tire of it somewhat hence why it's "relatively" low in the end. How on earth did this not go top 10 officially? Bewildering... |

24. Post Malone - Better Now
I promise it's not all going to be rap songs from here till the end (this one doesn't even really count as rap anyway). So we finally got the long-awaited album from Postie this year & let's be real this was by a mile the highlight after the previously released singles. By far made up for the pretty dull 'Psycho' which preceded it. |

I actually like 'Psycho' more but 'Better Now' is another great effort from him.
'Nice For What' is excellent and amongst his best songs I'd say. 'No Stylist' is a decent tune too. |

Psycho is his only big hit I never got into, although I'm not huge on Sunflower either.
Always preferred God's Plan of the 2 (or 3 if we stretch it to In My Feelings) - but how high up will that be? |

23. Jax Jones & Mabel (feat. Rich The Kid) - Ring Ring
I wasn't really feeling his much-lauded 2017 stuff ('You Don't Know Me' but great to start with but got boring fast then I never liked 'Instruction') but boy did he come back with a BANG this year. Breathe was absolutely incredible (more on that later) & then came this which despite raising a few eyebrows I liked from the very start. Basic lyrics yes but it's super catchy & still had the Jax Jones stamp on it. Rich The Kid wasn't particularly necessary however, needed more Mabel. Nice For What is really good but doesn't live up to Drake's absolute best.
I have the opposite opinion than you with the Post Malone tracks, I loved Psycho but think Better Now is really dull. Ring Ring is great tune. Seems to be really underrated. |

Nice For What is pretty great. No Stylist is decent. Better Now is one of my favourite Post Malone songs, along with Sunflower. Ring Ring is a fun bop. |

Ring Ring is great tune. Seems to be really underrated. I thought Psycho would prove to be a grower (very much like I Fall Apart) but it never did anything for me :/ Very underrated indeed! Hope his new one becomes a hit next year too. Nice For What is pretty great. No Stylist is decent. Better Now is one of my favourite Post Malone songs, along with Sunflower. Ring Ring is a fun bop. Sunflower is definitely growing but I more prefer Swae Lee's parts than Malone's! This post has been edited by dobbo: Dec 9 2018, 03:12 PM |

22. Anne-Marie - 2002
In the words of Demi Lovato "Sorry, not sorry". Despite it's cringey lyrics & rather annoying anachronisms this is a brilliant pop song! Admittedly I'd cast it aside myself at the start but something about it just endeared me over time. Also, the fact this song is so widely despised on this site actually made me like it even more. Sometimes the punchbags need their support! |

21. Big Shaq - Man's Not Hot
The second of the three spillovers, this first charted some way back in 2017 but didn't peak until the first chart this year. What is there to say? A parody it may well be but what a bloody good one. So many quotable lyrics, some perhaps not so yet seeing this hang about the top of the charts much unlike most "novelty" songs gave me great pleasure week after week. |

Finally someone else who loves Man's Not Hot!
Praise The Lord (Da Shine) and Better Now are both fantastic too! Really liking this so far, looking forward to the top twenty... |

22. Anne-Marie - 2002 Man's Not Hot was great fun, the novelty has worn off a bit now but I really liked it around this time last year. I enjoyed Ring Ring for what it was, even put in top 10, but it was quite a step down from Breathe (as is his current single Play too, I hope we get something better from him soon). |

2002 is decent.
I like Man's Not Hot. One of my favourite memes of the late 2010's. |

Finally someone else who loves Man's Not Hot! Praise The Lord (Da Shine) and Better Now are both fantastic too! Really liking this so far, looking forward to the top twenty... An iconic song! Plenty more tunes like that to come up, thanks coi! Man's Not Hot was great fun, the novelty has worn off a bit now but I really liked it around this time last year. I enjoyed Ring Ring for what it was, even put in top 10, but it was quite a step down from Breathe (as is his current single Play too, I hope we get something better from him soon). Agreed to an extent, I rarely play it out of choice anymore. Yep Breathe was on another level entirely. Really liking Play too, will probably be somewhere in my top 40 next year! 2002 is underrated on Buzzjack, it's a brilliant track! Yes Joseph! I never understood why it got the level of hate it did. 2002 is decent. I like Man's Not Hot. One of my favourite memes of the late 2010's. There's always room in the charts for 1 or 2 funny songs |

Ring Ring is probably my favourite of the ones you've posted but it's still Jax's weakest single for me sadly I feel like he's sort-of lost his spark

And you're not a fan of Play either then? I'm loving that one atm! This post has been edited by dobbo: Dec 13 2018, 07:11 PM |

20. Bruno Mars (feat. Cardi B) - Finesse (Remix)
Well this was a pleasant surprise at the turn of the year! I hadn't really liked anything Bruno had done for ages (going back to 'When I Was You Man') so the thought of an off-form Bruno paired with the generally-awful Cardi B hardly perked up my interest. But this is a fantastic, retro-sounding number - one of his best vocal deliveries on any track & Cardi's parts complement the track very well indeed. |

19. 5 Seconds Of Summer - Youngblood
Another pleasant surprise next. To be fair, I actually really liked most of their first album singles & 'She's Kinda Hot' was decent as well. But then I thought that'd be the lot & true to form, the next few singles were all pretty passable. Little did I know they've have this monster up their sleeve! Really was quite refreshing to hear each week on the Chart Show & most certainly deserved to be a boyband hit that actually held up. |
