Hello from the Rihanna forum.
Welcome to your new album survivor. Following the conclusion of Unapologetics survivor we are now asking you to rate Talk That Talk. Rihanna’s 6th album featured a change of hairstyle and a change of sound. Gone was the red haired Rihanna and here was the brunette Rihanna. The albums sound was more towards Hip-Hop in places whilst still playing with the dance pop sound and also experimenting vocally with some powerful ballads. Talk that Talk was another smash album for her spawning the global smashes We Found Love and Where Have You Been. Fun fact the album has her highest ever first week UK sales! If you’re unfamiliar with the album please listen if you can (I’ll try and provide a link if I work out how to do this)! If you are familiar then please just vote for the two tracks on this album what are your least favourites. Round three again seen two tracks limited and it’s two of the more uptempo numbers on the album which drop out here. Birthday Cake, your tenth placed track received the most votes in round three with 6 of you voting it amongst your least favourites. It’s the shortest track on the album and is kinda oddly placed in a way it doesn’t work leading into We All Want Love, it probably would’ve sounded better if it led into Cockiness but yeah not really a highlight. There is a remix available online with a extra verse from Chris Brown and that’s better but overall the weakest track remaining. In 9th place and with 5 votes Do Ya Thang also leaves in round three. The highest deluxe track but again not a major highlight although it is nice enough and a bit of a throwback to the sound of her earlier work. Round 4 is now open and again is a double! This survivor is definitely going better than the Unapologetic and Rated R ones so far. No major favourites of mine out so far! |

We All Want Love and Farewell for me - once those and Talk That Talk are out then the best songs remain. Going well so far though!

To be fair, Jay-Z's rap in that song is one of the most cringeworthy ever. I have a version where I edited it out.
 But aside from that it totally bangs! |

At the time of release I found the whole song unlistenable because of Jay’s verse. I can look past it now but it still takes it down. |
