Biography
Before following in the footsteps of dad Billy Ray, sisters Miley and Brandi, and brother Trace by becoming a musician, Noah Cyrus started acting when she was three years old. Roles on TV shows such as Doc and Hannah Montana and films including Mostly Ghostly led to Cyrus providing the voice of Ponyo in the English-language version of Hayao Miyazaki's 2008 anime film of the same name and singing the film's theme song with Frankie Jonas. Eventually, Cyrus turned her love of harmonizing with her dad into a full-fledged singing career. After signing a deal with Barry Weiss' Records label, she released her debut single, "Make Me (Cry)," in November 2016. A collaboration with U.K. singer/producer Labrinth, the song charted on the Billboard Hot 100. - iTunes

Really hoping Gaga can get a top 20 debut, preferably top 15 but I don't know if that's a long stretch. Really hope it manages to hang around unlike Perfect Illusion, incredible song I know it's gonna happen but I'll still die a bit inside if 'Shape Of You' beats Clean Zara again
I like looking at the charts from yesteryear just to make me feel old
10 years since Beautiful Liar makes me feel old one of my all-time favourites
For once I remembered that the chart was on a Friday, and wasn't doing anything, so here I am for the chart thread :-D
Slightly off-topic, but HRH The Duke of Cambridge is on Radio 1 right now!
Kate and William hosting the chart show *.*
WHERE IS MY CHART??
Why are they starting late just because they've got Prince William on?
(oh wait they're actually presenting the chart??)
Bit of a pisstake if Prince William is presenting the chart ngl
hello snowball effect
The actual Duke and Duchess of Cambridge co-presenting the chart tho, going to be a moment *_*

Biography
Edward Christopher "Ed" Sheeran (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter. He was born in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, and raised in Framlingham, Suffolk. He attended the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, Surrey, as an undergraduate from the age of 18 in autumn 2009. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project, which caught the attention of Elton John and Jamie Foxx. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (read as "plus"), was released on 9 September 2011 and has since been certified seven-times platinum in the UK. The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.
Sheeran's popularity abroad began in 2012. In the US, he made a guest appearance on Taylor Swift's fourth studio album, Red. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John. He spent much of 2013 opening for Swift's The Red Tour in North America dates. In late 2013, he performed three sold-out shows at New York's Madison Square Garden as a headline act.
His second studio album, x (read as "multiply"), was released on 23 June 2014. It peaked at number one in the UK and the US. In 2015, x won the Brit Award for Album of the Year, and he received the Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year. His single from x, "Thinking Out Loud", earned him two Grammy Awards at the 2016 ceremony: Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. As part of his world tour, Sheeran played three sold-out concerts at London's Wembley Stadium in July 2015, his biggest solo shows to date.
Sheeran's third album, ÷ ("divide"), was released on 3 March 2017. The first two singles from the album, "Shape of You" and "Castle on the Hill", were released on 6 January 2017 and broke records in a number of countries, including the UK, Australia and Germany, by debuting in the top two positions of the charts. He also became the first artist to have two songs debut in the US top 10. Sheeran appeared on Debrett's 2017 list of the most influential people in Britain. - Wikipedia

Very random...what are Wills and Kate promoting, or is just themselves?
Didn't miss much though, Greg usually waffles to begin with
at them playing New Man in canon
I hope that it's just for the intro because they can't present for shit
-x-
New Man is a bit crap now, good to see this'll be its last week in the top 40
time to say goodbye to a few more ed and drake songs
I would laugh if they present for much of this show to be honest - you have to admit it is pretty novelty?!

Biography
Kendrick Lamar Duckworth (born June 17, 1987) is an American rapper and songwriter. He embarked on his musical career as a teenager under the stage name K-Dot, releasing a mixtape that garnered local attention and led to his signing with indie record label Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). He began to gain major recognition in 2010, after his first retail release, Overly Dedicated. The following year, Lamar independently released his first studio album, Section.80, which included his debut single, "HiiiPoWeR". By that time, he had amassed a large Internet following and collaborated with several artists in the hip hop industry, including The Game, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne.
Lamar secured a major-label record deal with Aftermath and Interscope Records, in 2012. His major-label debut, good kid, m.A.A.d city, was released in October 2012 to critical success. The record contained the top 40 singles "Swimming Pools (Drank)", "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe", and "Poetic Justice". It debuted at number two on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and was later certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Lamar won his first Grammy Award for "i", lead single from his critical acclaimed third album To Pimp a Butterfly (2015). The album drew on free jazz, funk, soul, and spoken word, debuted atop the charts in the U.S. and the UK, and won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album at the 58th ceremony. In 2016, Lamar released untitled unmastered., a collection of unreleased demos that originated during the recording sessions for Butterfly.
Lamar has received a number of accolades over the course of his career, including seven Grammy Awards. In early 2013, MTV named Lamar the number one "Hottest MC in the Game", on their annual list. Time named Lamar one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2016. Aside from his solo career, Lamar is also known as a member of the West Coast hip hop supergroup Black Hippy, alongside his TDE label-mates and fellow South Los Angeles-based rappers Ab-Soul, Jay Rock and Schoolboy Q. - Wikipedia

It appears Wills and Kate have left and are coming back to reveal the #1 then.
WHY are R1 continuing to play Be The One every week?
Be The One is still quite good, don't at all understand Radio 1's Shed A Light-esque obsession with it tho

Biography
Aubrey Drake Graham (born October 24, 1986) is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor from Toronto, Ontario. Drake initially gained recognition as an actor on the teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation in the early 2000s. Intent on pursuing a solo career as a rapper, he departed the series in 2007 following the release of his debut mixtape Room for Improvement. He would go onto release two further independent projects, before signing to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment in June 2009.
Drake released his debut studio album Thank Me Later in 2010, which debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and was soon certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His next two releases were 2011's Take Care and 2013's Nothing Was the Same, with certifications of quadruple and triple platinum respectively in the U.S., with the former also earning him his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. They were followed by two mixtapes, with the trap-influenced If You're Reading This It's Too Late, and a collaboration with Future for What a Time to Be Alive, in 2015. The former was certified double platinum in the U.S..
Drake released his fourth album, Views, in 2016, breaking several chart records in the process. The dancehall-influenced Views sat atop the Billboard 200 for ten nonconsecutive weeks, becoming the first album by a solo male to do so in over 10 years. Its single "One Dance" topped the chart in several countries, including the U.S., the UK and Canada, where it became his first number-one single as the lead artist. This saw Drake leading the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 simultaneously for eight weeks, coming close to a record held by Whitney Houston. It achieved quadruple platinum status in the U.S., and earned over 1 million album-equivalent units in the first week of its release.
Alongside his Grammy Award win, Drake has won three Juno Awards and six BET Awards. He has the most number one singles on the Hot Rap Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Rhythmic Charts.
Drake had developed into other ventures, including his OVO Sound record label with Noah "40" Shebib, in early 2012. Drake also acts as a producer, producing under the pseudonym of Champagne Papi. Using the the "OVO" moniker, Drake has also marketed a clothing line, as well as having his own channel on Beats 1. He is also currently acting as the global ambassador for NBA franchise, the Toronto Raptors. - Wikipedia

In 2010, Malik auditioned as a solo artist for the British reality television music competition The X Factor. After being eliminated as a solo performer, Malik was brought back into the competition, along with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson, to form the boy band One Direction. During his time in the group, Malik and his bandmates released the albums Up All Night (2011), Take Me Home (2012), Midnight Memories (2013), and Four (2014). Biography
Starley is a dance-pop singer/songwriter from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. A music lover since childhood, she moved to London to pursue a career in music, eventually working with a variety of producers and songwriters throughout the U.K., Sweden, and the United States. It wasn't until she moved back to Australia that her career began to take off. In 2016, she was the featured vocalist on Odd Mob's "Into You," which went to number one on the Australian club charts. She signed with Australian label Tinted Records, and her solo debut, "Call on Me," a light, catchy pop tune, was a bigger international hit, charting in over a dozen countries and earning the singer comparisons to Ellie Goulding. - iTunes

Biography
Quoting both the '90s rap group Sporty Thievz and dancehall don Beenie Man on his breakthrough hit "Dem Boy Paigon," U.K. rapper J Hus exploded on the scene in 2015 with a sound that mixed rap, reggae, and the new wave of electronic Afrobeat. Born and raised in the London Borough of Newham, the amateur MC first impressed his friends with his rapping, so much so that two of his mates pushed him into professionalism by offering to become his management. In 2015, they recorded a handful of demos and uploaded them to the web, cut the single "So Paranoid" with London rapper MoStack, and then uploaded a set of videos, including "Dem Boy Paigon." The latter was an instant street hit and quickly earned over a million views, then J Hus dropped his debut mixtape, The 15th Day, which featured the U.K. radio hit "Lean & Bop." - iTunes

Blem dropping like a stone
J HUS Enjoy the best UK dancehall/afrobeat/grime fusion of the year so far!
YES for J Hus making the top 40. Very fresh sounding and always good to have British hip-hop in the chart.
IM HERE although my internet isn't currently working so can't listen ffs lemme catch up and hope I haven't missed gaga
They don't play Kendrick Lamar's new entry but they play a faller from Dua Lipa. At least he's not clogging up the chart with all his album tracks like Ed and Drake did. And boo to "Heatstroke" falling out because people can't move on from "Slide"
I don't understand why "Still Got Time" isn't doing well It's basically a Drake reject.
Bye Blem. But hello Kendrick-pocalypse?
didn't know J Hus was from UK
Did You See not sounding as bad as I thought it might actually!

- Wikipedia

Biography
A South London-based commercial dance production team, Disciples consists of Nathan Duvall, Gavin Koolmon, and Luke McDermott. Duvall and Koolmon previously recorded under the aliases Stylistix ("How Soon") and Kool & Duvall ("U Lift Me Up"). The trio debuted in 2013 on the New State Music label with Remedy EP, the title track of which was played by BBC DJs Target and Trevor Nelson. Their profile increased after they signed to Pete Tong's Parlophone-supported FFRR label, where they issued 2014-2015 singles such as "Catwalk" and "They Don't Know," the latter of which went to number 24 on the U.K. pop chart. That success primed them for a couple major collaborations issued during the second half of 2015: "Yellow," with Robin Schulz, and "How Deep Is Your Love," made with songwriter/vocalist Ina Wroldsen and co-producer Calvin Harris. The latter song narrowly missed the top of the U.K. chart, reached the Top 30 of the U.S. Hot 100, and made major impressions in several other territories. By the end of the year, Disciples were promoting another release, The Following EP. - iTunes

On My Mind this is a bop.
they're gonna skip all the newies from Kendrick Lamar I guess
On My Mind So much good dance in the charts right now
on my mind should be much higher, best dance song in ages
at Disciples not getting any higher. It is an amazing dance track though
This is growing on me with each listen actually
Out of all the dropouts, we only lost two of Ed's album tracks but none of Drake's. I was hoping we'd lose some of Drake's album tracks
Gutted this only climbed 3 spots, hope it hangs around for a while if a decent peak is out of the question.

Biography
Little Mix is a British girl group formed in 2011 during the eighth series of the UK version of The X Factor. They are the first and, so far, only group to win the competition. Following their victory, they signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Music and released a cover of Damien Rice's "Cannonball" as their winner's single. The members are Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson.
Little Mix released their debut album DNA in 2012, which peaked inside the top 10 in ten countries including the UK and US. This made Little Mix the first girl group since the Pussycat Dolls to reach the US top 5 with their debut album, as well as earning the highest debut US chart position by a British girl group, breaking the record previously held by the Spice Girls. In the UK, the album spawned the number-one single "Wings". The group's sophomore effort Salute, which was released in 2013, became their second album to debut inside the top 10 in both the UK and US. The album produced two top 10 singles in their home country; "Move" and "Salute". Little Mix released their third studio album Get Weird in 2015 and it is their best-selling and longest charting album to date in the UK. The album's lead single "Black Magic" reached number one in the UK and was also nominated for two Brit Awards in 2016. The group's 2016 fourth studio album Glory Days became their first number one album in the UK and was also the longest reigning girl group Number 1 since the Spice Girls' debut album 20 years ago. The album's lead single "Shout Out to My Ex" became the group's fourth UK number one single.
The group has received several awards during their career, including two MTV Europe Music Awards, two Teen Choice Awards and two Glamour Awards. They have also been nominated for two Brit Awards and one Japanese MTV Video Music Awards. As of October 2016 the group has achieved four platinum certified albums and eleven certified singles in the UK. - Wikipedia

- Wikipedia

These are intense times, but Katy Perry is here to remind us to have fun. A breathy, bombastic blend of dancehall and disco with an empowering verse from Skip Marley—grandson of Bob Marley—the song is a plea to set aside our differences and find unity on the dance floor. She sings: "Turn it up, it’s your favorite song/Dance-dance-dance to the distortion/So put your rose-coloured glasses on/And party on." - iTunes

Biography
Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known professionally as Katy Perry, is an American singer and songwriter. After singing in church during her childhood, she pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager. Perry signed with Red Hill Records and released her debut studio album Katy Hudson under her birth name in 2001, which was commercially unsuccessful. She moved to Los Angeles the following year to venture into secular music after Red Hill ceased operations and she subsequently began working with producers Glen Ballard, Dr. Luke, and Max Martin. After adopting the stage name Katy Perry and being dropped by The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records, she signed a recording contract with Capitol Records in April 2007.
Perry rose to fame in 2008 with the release of the singles "I Kissed a Girl"—which sparked controversy for its homosexual themes—and "Hot n Cold" from her second album, a pop rock record titled One of the Boys. Her third album, Teenage Dream (2010), ventured into disco, and contained the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "California Gurls", "Teenage Dream", "Firework", "E.T.", and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" as well as the number-three single "The One That Got Away". The album became the first by a female artist to produce five number-one songs in the U.S., and the second overall after Michael Jackson's album Bad. In March 2012, she re-issued the album as Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, which produced the songs "Part of Me" and "Wide Awake". Her fourth album, Prism, was released in 2013, and is influenced by pop and dance. She became the first artist with multiple videos to reach one billion views on Vevo with the videos for its songs "Roar" and "Dark Horse".
Perry has received many awards, including four Guinness World Records, a Brit Award, and a Juno Award, and been included in the Forbes list of "Top-Earning Women In Music" (2011–2016). Her estimated net worth as of 2016 is $125 million. She is one of the best-selling musical artists of all time, having sold 100 million records globally throughout her career. In film, she released an autobiographical documentary titled Katy Perry: Part of Me in 2012, and voiced Smurfette in the 2011 film The Smurfs and its sequel in 2013. - Wikipedia

- Wikipedia

Biography
Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn (born November 20, 1983), known professionally as Future, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Wilburn first became involved in music as part of the Dungeon Family collective, where he was nicknamed "the Future". After amassing a series of mixtapes between 2010 and 2011, Future signed a major record label deal with Epic Records and A1 Recordings, which helped launch Future's own label imprint, Freebandz. He subsequently released his debut album, Pluto, in April 2012 to positive reviews. Future's second album, Honest, was released in April 2014, surpassing his debut on the album charts.
Between late 2014 and early 2015, he released a trio of mixtapes: Monster (2014), Beast Mode (2015), and 56 Nights (2015). His next releases, DS2 (2015), What a Time to Be Alive (2015, in collaboration with Drake), EVOL (2016), FUTURE (2017) and HNDRXX (2017) all debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200. The latter two made him the first artist to debut to two albums consecutively at the top of that chart. Future has also released several singles certified gold or higher by the RIAA, including "Turn On the Lights", "Move That Dope", "F**k Up Some Commas", "Where Ya At", "Jumpman", and "Low Life". - Wikipedia

Biography
Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (/ˈstɛfəniː dʒɜːrməˈnɒtə/ STEF-ə-nee jur-mə-NOT-ə; born March 28, 1986), known professionally as Lady Gaga, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She performed initially in theater, appearing in high school plays, and studied at CAP21 through New York University's Tisch School of the Arts before dropping out to pursue a musical career. After leaving a rock band, participating in the Lower East Side's avant garde performance art circuit, and being dropped from a contract with Def Jam Recordings, Gaga worked as a songwriter for Sony/ATV Music Publishing. From there, recording artist Akon noticed her vocal abilities and helped her to sign a joint deal with Interscope Records and his own KonLive Distribution.
Her debut album The Fame (2008) was a critical and commercial success that produced global chart-topping singles such as "Just Dance" and "Poker Face". A follow-up extended play (EP), The Fame Monster (2009), was met with a similar reception and "Bad Romance", "Telephone", and "Alejandro" were released becoming successful singles. Her second full-length album Born This Way was released in 2011, topping the charts in more than 20 countries, including the United States, where it sold over one million copies in its first week. The album produced the number-one single "Born This Way". Her third album Artpop, released in 2013, topped the US charts and included the successful single "Applause". In 2014, Gaga released a collaborative jazz album with Tony Bennett titled Cheek to Cheek, which became her third consecutive number one in the United States. For her work in the television series American Horror Story: Hotel, Gaga won a Golden Globe Award in 2016.
With global album and single sales of 27 million and 146 million respectively, as of January 2016, she is one of the best-selling musicians of all time. Her achievements include twelve Guinness World Records, three Brit Awards, and six Grammy Awards. She is also the first artist to win the Songwriters Hall of Fame's Contemporary Icon Award. Other accolades include a Fashion Icon lifetime achievement award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (2011), regular appearances on Billboard's Artists of the Year lists and Forbes's power and earnings rankings. In 2013, Gaga finished second on Time's readers' poll of the most influential people of the past ten years, while in 2015, she was named Billboard's Woman of the Year. She is known for her philanthropic work and social activism, including LGBT rights and her own non-profit organization, the Born This Way Foundation, which focuses on promoting youth empowerment and combating bullying. - Wikipedia

I actually need to hear the new Kendrick album
Love 'Royalty'.
Not the best on the album, but I love hearing Rihanna rap.
SHE SHOULD BE HIGHER
SLAY GAGA
Fingers crossed The Cure is top 10 next week - it's one of the best songs of the year sooo
'The Cure' instantly going top 25 with 5 days of sales is a great start Best thing she has done in ages so hopefully it's a big hit.
The Cure is my fave Gaga song in a while
not a bad entry for Gaga considering the Sunday release and the lukewarm performance on Spotify
Greg will probably do a quick recap for those other entries in a minute.
i rlly hope this can rise. i'd love her to get a top 10, i feel like it will defo go up next week tho
I like The Cure but much prefer Million Reasons
that wasn't a bigger hit cos Million Reasons was a kinda career killer
This is probably my favorite Gaga single since The Edge of Glory?? So so good <33
This Gaga song is sounding great!
I actually like a Lady Gaga track
the chorus is too chain smoker-esque though
if anything it saved it
Gaga should climb next week now her streaming is picking up
Skipping Future (Gaga should go top 50 tomorrow on Spotify, she's got New Music Friday impact)
24 (26) Future – Mask Off
25 (23) Ed Sheeran – Perfect
26 (17) Katy Perry feat. Skip Marley – Chained To The Rhythm
God I really hope this can be a hit

Biography
Neo-blues & soul singer Rory Graham was born and raised in the small town of Uckfield in the south-east of England. Growing up on early blues and soul, he taught himself to sing by mimicking Muddy Waters, before discovering hip-hop. Starting out in music at age 15 as an MC with a local drum'n'bass crew, he progressed to hip-hop open-mike nights in nearby Brighton, where he later moved, teaming up with local hip-hop crew the Rum Committee. At the same time, he continued to practice singing in private. Aged 19, he took part in a blues open-mike night at the encouragement of his father, and the rapturous response to his singing boosted his confidence enough to make him consider it as a career rather than rapping. Graham's moniker came from his childhood memories of he and his grandfather watching repeats of the British '60s sitcom Steptoe and Son, about a pair of rag-and-bone men -- dirt-poor street collectors who in bygone days would go around gathering up rubbish in an attempt to find useful rags, bones, and scrap metal that could be sold to merchants for a few pennies. With his massive bulk, tattoo-covered arms, nose ring, shaved head, enormous beard, and typical garb of hoodie and jeans, Graham looked like an escapee from an early-2000s nu-metal band, but blew crowds away as soon as he opened his mouth with his deep, powerful, soulful, bluesy vocals. He released his debut EP, Bluestown, in 2012, followed by several EPs in the next few years, the highest profile of which were Wolves and Disfigured in 2015. His early releases were more acoustic, but evolved toward a more electronic sound with hip-hop-styled beats. In 2013, he signed a publishing deal with Warner Chappell, allowing him to give up his day job as a carer for people with Asperger's Syndrome. His increasing profile brought him to the attention of Columbia Records, who signed him in 2016. His debut single for Columbia, "Human," dropped in September of that year and was a big hit in several European countries, topping the charts in Germany. The single was taken from his debut album, which was scheduled for release the following year. - iTunes

Biography
Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor (born 7 November 1996), better known by her stage name Lorde (pronounced /ˈlɔːrd/), is a New Zealand singer-songwriter. Born in Takapuna and raised in Devonport, Auckland, she became interested in performing as a child. In her early teens, she signed with Universal Music Group and was later paired with songwriter and record producer Joel Little, who has co-written and produced most of Lorde's works. Her first major release, The Love Club EP, was released commercially in March 2013. The EP reached number two on the national record charts in both New Zealand and Australia.
In mid-2013, Lorde released her debut single "Royals". It became an international crossover hit and made Lorde the youngest solo artist (and the only New Zealander) to achieve a US number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100 since 1987. In late 2013, she released her debut studio album, Pure Heroine. The record topped the national charts in New Zealand and Australia and reached number three on the US Billboard 200. Its following singles included "Tennis Court", "Team", "No Better" and "Glory and Gore". In 2014, Lorde released "Yellow Flicker Beat" as a single from the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1.
Lorde's music consists of subgenres such as dream pop and indietronica. She has earned two Grammy Awards, a Brit Award and ten New Zealand Music Awards. In 2013, she was named among Time's most influential teenagers in the world, and in the following year, she was part of Forbes's "30 Under 30" list. - Wikipedia

Biography
Adam Richard Wiles (born 17 January 1984), known professionally as Calvin Harris, is a Scottish record producer, DJ, singer and songwriter. His debut studio album I Created Disco was released in June 2007, and was the precursor to his UK top 10 singles "Acceptable in the 80s" and "The Girls". In 2009, Harris released his second studio album Ready for the Weekend, which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and was later certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry within two months of its release. Its lead single "I'm Not Alone" became his first number-one single on the UK Singles Chart.
Harris rose to international prominence with the release of his third studio album 18 Months in October 2012. Topping the UK charts, the album became his first to chart on the US Billboard 200 chart (where it reached number 19). All eight of the album's singles, which were "Bounce", "Feel So Close", "Let's Go", "We'll Be Coming Back", "Sweet Nothing", "Drinking from the Bottle", "I Need Your Love" and "Thinking About You" reached the top 10 in the UK. Harris released his fourth studio album Motion in November 2014. It debuted at number two in the UK and at number five in the US, and became Harris's second consecutive number one album on the US Dance/Electronic Albums chart. The album's first three singles "Under Control", "Summer" and "Blame" all topped the UK chart.
Harris has collaborated with numerous other recording artists. His collaboration with Rihanna "We Found Love" became an international success, giving Harris his first US number one single on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Harris later collaborated with Rihanna on the singles "Where Have You Been" (2012) and "This Is What You Came For" (2016). Harris currently holds the record for the most top 10 songs from one studio album on the UK Singles Chart with nine top 10 entries, surpassing Michael Jackson. In October 2014, he became the first artist to place three songs simultaneously on the top 10 of Billboard's Dance/Electronic Songs chart. He also became the first British solo artist to reach more than one billion streams on Spotify. Harris has received ten Brit Award nominations—three for Best British Male, and four Grammy nominations, winning a Grammy for Best Music Video in 2013. He received the British Academy's Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year in 2013 and at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards was named Top Dance/Electronic Artist. Additionally, Harris topped Forbes' list of the world's highest-paid DJs for three consecutive years from 2013 to 2015. One of the most successful musicians in contemporary British popular culture, Harris appeared on Debrett's 2017 list of the most influential people in Britain. Harris runs his own record label, Fly Eye Records. - Wikipedia

Really not warmed to the Gaga track, another underwhelming release from her again.
This needs to go away. This is the reason why "Heatstroke" dropped out
Instead of skipping Future, they could at least play a snippet of the song
i feel like the lorde singles will flop, then the album will drop and it'll be amazing and be thrown LOADS of awards. literally every song she's premiered from it so far is fireee
once again these chart runs look like someone's personal chart rather than the UK charts
Slide is good. Shame my internet cut out so I couldn't hear it.

You Don't Know Me is a bit overplayed now, good to see it falling.
Still loving this never gets old
CODY DO THE NEXT TEEN WOLF RESULT IT'S BEEN LIKE A MONTH
'You Don't Know Me' is still a proper banger of a tune. I don't think I'll ever get sick of hearing this
So bets for the #1 then? As much as I'd love it to be Clean Bandit I have an awful feeling that Ed will just sneak it by something stupid like 5 copies.

- Wikipedia

- iTunes

A new peak for Rag'n'Bone Man
I thought Raye would be pushing one of her own singles by now! Hopefully she has something in the works.
Really hope Skin isn't done climbing just yet, what a great track
Genuinely though does ANYONE on Buzzjack want Shape of You to be #1??
So why did they skip the highest Kendrick entry but play a random Kendrick entry instead?

- Wikipedia

Biography
Peter Gene Hernandez (born October 8, 1985), known professionally as Bruno Mars (/ˈmɑːrz/), is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and choreographer. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, by a family of musicians, Mars began making music at a young age and performed in various musical venues in his hometown throughout his childhood. He graduated from high school and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a musical career. After being dropped by Motown Records, Mars signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records in 2009.
In 2009, he co-founded the production team The Smeezingtons, responsible for the singles "Nothin' on You" by B.o.B and "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy. He featured on the hooks for both singles, becoming recognized as a solo artist. His debut studio album Doo-Wops & Hooligans (2010) included the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "Just the Way You Are" and "Grenade", as well as the number-four single "The Lazy Song". In 2014, Mars lent his vocals to Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk". In 2016, he released his third studio album 24K Magic with the lead single of the same title released on October 7, 2016. To date, he has sold over 100 million singles and albums worldwide, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time. Mars has landed six number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 since his career launched in 2010, attaining his first five faster than any male artist since Elvis Presley.

In December 2013, he ranked number one on the Forbes 30 under 30 list. Mars is known for his stage performances and retro showmanship. Selena Gomez
Selena Marie Gomez (/səˈliːnə məˈriː ˈɡoʊmɛz/ sə-lee-nə mə-ree goh-mez; Spanish pronunciation: [seˈlena ˈɣomes]; born July 22, 1992) is an American actress and singer. Having appeared as a child in the children's television series Barney & Friends, Gomez rose to fame as the leading role in the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place (2007–12). Due to the success of the series, Gomez worked on various films, television shows, and musical collaborations for the network in the following years. Gomez also formed her own production company in 2008, titled July Moon Productions; she is set to produce the Netflix original series 13 Reasons Why. She signed a recording contract with Hollywood Records in 2008 and subsequently formed her band Selena Gomez & the Scene the following year. The band released three studio albums by 2011.
Gomez hoped to focus on her acting career by transitioning into film work, earning starring roles in films such as Ramona and Beezus (2010) and the romantic comedy Monte Carlo (2011). Gomez hoped to achieve a more mature image with a role in the exploitation film Spring Breakers (2013), as well as with the release of her solo debut album Stars Dance (2013). The album debuted atop the Billboard 200 in the United States, and included the top ten single "Come & Get It". Gomez embarked on her Stars Dance Tour (2013), though it was later canceled due to personal and medical struggles.
In 2014, Gomez fired her parents as her managers and signed with the WME and Brillstein companies. During this time, she signed a new recording contract with Interscope Records, releasing a compilation album as her fifth and final release through Hollywood Records. Gomez released her second studio album, Revival, in October 2015. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, while the first three singles "Good for You", "Same Old Love" and, "Hands to Myself" all topped the Mainstream Top 40 chart in the United States. She embarked on her worldwide Revival Tour in 2016; like her previous tour, it was also canceled due to personal and medical struggles. Gomez is currently working on her third solo studio album. The lead single titled It Ain't Me was released on 16 February 2017.
Outside of entertainment, Gomez released her own clothing line through Kmart in 2010 and a self-titled fragrance in 2013. She has worked with various charitable organizations for years and became a UNICEF ambassador at the age of seventeen. Since the start of her career, Gomez has gone on to sell over 7 million albums and 22 million singles worldwide, according to Billboard. As of November 2016, Gomez is the most-followed Instagram user in the world. Gomez has earned a number of awards and nominations for her work as an actress and singer and has won an ALMA Award, a Billboard Women in Music award, an MTV Video Music Award, an American Music Award, a People's Choice Award, two Young Hollywood Awards, and fifteen Teen Choice Awards. - Wikipedia

Coldplay
Coldplay are a British rock band formed in 1996 by lead vocalist Chris Martin and lead guitarist Jonny Buckland at University College London. After they formed under the name Pectoralz, Guy Berryman joined the group as a bassist and they changed their name to Starfish. Will Champion joined as a drummer, backing vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, completing the line-up. Manager Phil Harvey is often considered an unofficial fifth member. The band renamed themselves "Coldplay" in 1998, before recording and releasing three EPs; Safety in 1998, Brothers & Sisters as a single in 1999 and The Blue Room in the same year. The latter was their first release on a major label, after signing to Parlophone.
They achieved worldwide fame with the release of the single "Yellow" in 2000, followed by their debut album released in the same year, Parachutes, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize. The band's second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), was released to critical acclaim and won multiple awards, including NME's Album of the Year. They have also come top of the BBC Radio 2 poll of the favourite album of all time. Their next release, X&Y, the best-selling album worldwide in 2005, was met with mostly positive reviews upon its release, though some critics felt that it was inferior to its predecessor. The band's fourth studio album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008), was produced by Brian Eno and released again to largely positive reviews, earning several Grammy nominations and wins at the 51st Grammy Awards. On 24 October 2011, they released their fifth studio album, Mylo Xyloto, which received mixed to positive reviews, topped the charts in over 34 countries, and was the UK's best-selling rock album of 2011.
The band have won a number of music awards throughout their career, including eight Brit Awards—winning Best British Group three times—five MTV Video Music Awards and seven Grammy Awards from 25 nominations. Coldplay have sold more than 80 million records worldwide. In December 2009, Rolling Stone readers voted the group the fourth-best artist of the 2000s. Coldplay have been an active supporter of various social and political causes, such as Oxfam's Make Trade Fair campaign and Amnesty International. The group have also performed at various charity projects such as Band Aid 20, Live 8, Sound Relief, Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief, The Secret Policeman's Ball, Sport Relief and the UK's Teenage Cancer Trust. - Wikipedia

- Wikipedia

Great to see 'HUMBLE.' going as high as #6, excellent song!
HUMBLE. really is an awesome tune - so so glad to see it smashing
this humble song is absolutely awful
PHEW at this not making the Top 5
Who is this 'Lee Ambul' he sings about in the chorus anyway?
Slightly peeved that it's not *quite* matched the peak of any of those questionable pop collabs, but go Kung Fu Kenny!

- Wikipedia

Starting to get bored of Passionfruit
Harry Styles falling at a comical rate
Getting a bit bored of the Drake track already. I guess it has been a few weeks...
Sign Of The Times is decent, bet the label are disappointed about a 1-4 drop tho! Getting very nervous about the #1 now
I do like this HS track but I hope they release a radio edit to stream soon.
tbh sign of the times deserved another week at #1, defo the best song in the top 10 rn
it didn't deserve to drop from 1-4
An expected drop for Harry I guess, wonder how many weeks he'll manage in the Top 40!
I had feared a bigger drop for Harry about a week ago so he's stabilised well, and has Graham Norton tonight

- Wikipedia

- Wikipedia

This is such a joke oml, I mean I was expecting SOY to get it again tbh, but I just can't fathom how people are STILL listening to it so much, like seriously, move on.

I'll be annoyed if SOY is outside the top 10 on sales. How about we all boycott SOY?
I think we'll all die internally for the second time today when we see the sales rip
Next week's contender?

Biography
Shawn Peter Raul Mendes (/ˈmɛndɛz/, European Portuguese: [ˈmẽdɨʃ]; born August 8, 1998) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. He attracted a following in 2013, when he began posting song covers on the video sharing application Vine. The following year, he caught the attention of artist managers Andrew Gertler and Island Records A&R Ziggy Chareton, which led to him signing a deal with the record label. Mendes went on to release an EP and his debut studio album Handwritten, whose single "Stitches" reached the top 10 in the US and Canada, and number one in the UK. His sophomore album, Illuminate (2016), was preceded by the single "Treat You Better". Both albums debuted atop the US Billboard 200. - Wikipedia

'Symphony' has been ROBBED.
Hopefully next week...
give lust for life promo
if only they had made CB 59p this week!!!!!
but sure they'll be #1 next week, the difference on Spotify is minimal and on iTunes Shape is down to 0.3
the charlie puth song is utter shite which means it'll probably do well
Let's take the positive of a new peak for Clean Bandit and be consoled that it is now within touching distance of overthrowing Ed next week!
Ughh I actually can't even listen to SOY.
Not gonna lie, kinda think Kate's voice is quite sexy.
Tbh I'm more annoyed that Ed was knocked off last week only to climb this week. Harry Styles track is clearly a non-number 1...
Clean Bandit next week PLEASE though. "Symphony" is amazeeeee
Argh! 14 weeks? FOURTEEN!
Then again, One Dance got 15...
Really gutted for Clean Bandit, hope they get their shot this week.
it's really reached a point where Shape is unlisteable
I found it
see me in the writing credits babes
Last night both my sisters went to see Ed Sheeran at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle. They both loved it but to me it would have been the equivalent of pulling off my fingernails with a pair of rusty pliers. He's so bland!
How can people stream the damn track so much in one week.
This Shawn Mendes song sounds like a multi-week #1 in the waiting, I just hope 'Symphony' gets a week before this climbs up.
RIP interest in the UK Singles Chart 1978 - 2017
Hearing this Shawn song for the first tim - sounds really good!
that means it never lived to begin with
Are people not bored of Shape Of You? If Symphony doesn't get the #1 I'ma go mad, it really deserves to! It'd be brilliant to see Zara get her first #1.
Fingers crossed Symphony can sneak a week #1, but I feel as though we'll be getting Shawn Mendes at #1 the week after!
1 Clean Bandit - Symphony (feat. Zara Larsson) 1.0000 1.0000
2 Shawn Mendes - There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back 0.8788 0.9552
can someone pls tell me if lana made top 100 yet :'(((
NEXT WEEK IS HER TIME TO SHINE
Streaming will secure Lana top 40 next week I think
well, i reached that moment when the #1 was revealed...
that's awesome i was afk at that time, had the same emotions like who is still buying/streaming it THAT much?
Symphony MUST be #1 next week.
Not into all of today's new entries, like not my cup of tea actually.
Good for Disciples - wish they moved a bit higher.
Also yay @ Skin re-peaked!
Well done Ed, he deserves it! It is so much better than Symphony and Harry Styles.
I would love to see Scared Of The Dark at #1 though!
